Hi well i love playing the piano but i hate goin to lessons. I just HATE lessons. Does any1 kno how to make myself want to go to lessons?

well, if you dont like the lessons, how will you ever play any better? So, if you dont take the lessons you wont be good at piano. make sence?
so you want to take the lessons to get better at piano.

ma mom had the same problems with me but she made me wanna go to ma piano lessons by taking me to a local pharmacy and buying me my favorite kinda ice cream afrwords. so if theres a pharmacy or an ice cream palor or sumtin round there then hav ur mom treat u or treat urself to sumtin aftrwords

Maybe suggest playing some song that you enjoy playing. That way, it won't be as bad to go.

You can't make yourself. I play the piano and used to hate lessons also, so I quit. The only way you can keep yourself from quitting is knowing that it's helping you out and if it's a career you want to go into you should remember that. Just know that you have to know the rules before you can break them. The lessons suck now but they'll start getting more fun later when you get to the fun pieces.

Well how r u going to learn if you dont get lessons? Or just teach urself bye BOOKS of NOTES and try and learn them on your own. Our just make up your own music.

Just think of playing as you're motivation this way: if you have lessons your not cleaning your room or doing your homework, you're doing what you love and thats playing the piano.

Umm..I don't think you can MaKe yourself want to go to lessons. Maybe you shouldn't? Maybe it's the teacher or the environment that you practice in.

i hated lessons too the teacher's breath stank and she has hovering over me i felt so much presure i quit but i regret that. u may hate lessons but by going it will make u better and sooner or later u will be good enough to not have lessons anymore ... just dont quit like i did- christina =)

reward yourself with something special after you go to a lesson...something you normally don't get like a magazine, your favorite food/dessert, etc.

Maybe you would be better off trying to teach yourself? Ive tought myself how to play the guitar, and the piano, because i couldnt stand the people giving the lessons, they made it so i didnt even want to play. Now, i love it and i just teach myself, its not very hard an it saves ya sum money..lol
