i've been getting my period since april 04 and i got it on the 24th for april may june july and august. i didnt get it september but octor 2nd. now its november 5th and i still didnt get it. this is really messed up! what do i do because i dont know when to expect it and i'm sick of wearing dark jeans all the time. thx-very self conscious

You haven't really been on your period that long so you shouldn't really have "set schedule." If you are hanging out with girl friends alot that have their period around that time that could be a factor too, because girls that hang out alot get on the same schedule.

don't worry! when you first get your period, it tends to be irregular. also, if you're not sure when it's going to start, i suggest wearing panty liners because they will catch the beginning and not get on your jeans.

it normally takes a few years to get a period to be regular. you can wear other colors, just wear a pad so no leaks or anything....

Dont be worried! When you first start having your period, it wont normalize for about another year or 2!
Another thing, dont WORRY about what your wearing! dark jeans, light jeans, it wont show through if you have a good pad/tampon in! Just make sure you have a few *extras* just in case!

First, it's normal for your period to be a bit irregular for the first few years. If you become truly concerned about, go see a doctor!
As for the dark jeans thing, I've got a solution. Why not get some panty liners? If you did start your period, the panty liner would probably work just fine until you got into the bathroom. Have some pads/tampons in your bag or locker, but just wear a single panty liner while at school.
You won't have to worry about your clothes or period with that added bit of protection.

your period isnt going to be regular for a while!! its completely normal. yeah and it sux! you never know when to expect it so just be prepared at all times... no need to wear dark jeans all the time! your not gonna bleed through THAT much..well through a pair of jeans? dont think so! hope i helped<3.

theres this thing called and IRREGULAR PERIOD
btw somtimes if ur skinny then you dont get ur period that month. you have to have 20% body fat to get ur period. once i didnt gte mine for elike 3 months and then once i have mine everyday for a whole month! it is just weird like that. plus ur just starting and you cant totally rely on one day a month to start.

When you are young and you first get your period, it is never on schedule. You can go months without getting it and then getting it again. There is nothing to be worried about. Normally the first 3-4 years of getting your period it isn't on an exact schedule. The only way you should be worried about it is if you are sexually active. But if you're not, stop freaking out and calm down. Stress can also cause your period not to come. Hope this helped.

WELL SELF CONSCIOUS THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM YOU HAVE WHEN I WAS 15. ITS SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE IRREGULAR PERIODS. YOU DONT KNOW WHEN TO EXPECT THEM ANYMORE. WHAT I DID WAS I TOLD MY MOM AND SHE TOOK ME TO THE DOCTOR. AND EVEN THOUGH I WAS NOT SEXUALLY ACTIVE THE DOCTOR PUT ME ON BIRHT CONTROLL PILLS. AND WHAT THE PILL DID WAS IT MADE MY PERIOD COME ON AND GO OFF. FOR EXAMPLE YOU WOULD HAVE 21 PILLS OF ONE COLOR AND 7 OF ANOTHER. SO WHEN IT WAS TIME TO START THE COLOR PILLS MY PERIOD WOULD BE ON WITH THE AND GO OFF BY THE TIME I WAS BACK TO THE REGUAR COLORS. AND THIS ALSO DEPEND ON HOW OLD YOU ARE AND YOUR COMFORT LEVEL OF TALKING TO YOUR MOM ABOUT IT. BUT THE PILLS REALLY HELP ME AND I DINT CRAMP AS BAD W/ THEM SO ITS YOUR CALL.

For about the 1st and maybe 2nd year of your period it tends to be like that, it could be mormal for like 6 months and then get screwed up so just be patient and it will become normal (and as long as your still a virgin thn its ok, if you are not a virgin then you need to wait until 14 days after you had sex or the day of your missed period and take a prenancy test...)
