Do diet pills really work? I know there not healthy or anything. But i was thinking that if I went to my doctor they could perscribe me some healthy diet pills. Has anyone ever took them or a family/friend? And did it actually work. And yes I DO need to lose weight. Not a little about 100 pounds or so by next september or december. --And im also talking about the diet pills you can by in the stores. Thanks!

The best way to loose weight is the hard way =/ diet and exercise. Its tough but its better than dieing from taking a crazy pill >_< [ Pink_Flamingo's advice column | Ask Pink_Flamingo A Question ]

I have lost about 12 pounds changing the way I eat and doing some exercise. I could stand to lose 100 myself. In fact, I have got to cut my cholestrol and salt intake, pronto.
Would you like to challenge to see who can lose the most weight in about 3 months? I am having probably the same motivational problems you are. Mostly I am just so busy. [ chaos's advice column | Ask chaos A Question ]
bumdinger27 answered Wednesday November 3 2004, 8:32 am: Hey, diet pills do work, but there is a catch, if you ever read a diet pill bottle it will say something to this effect" only works when calorie intake has been modified and exercise is being taken place" So basically the pills only work when you diet and exercise. So my suggestion is diet and exercise, BUT if you want to spend money and maybe get a chance in a weightloss assistant then buy diet pills, buy the Non ephedra because the ephedra's are banned because people have died from them. I would also suggest when buying them get a brand that people have heard of like you see on Tv because you know that they are safer then the ones people haven't heard of. I have taken diet pills and they do work, but they only work along with calorie modification and exercise. Hope i helped! [ bumdinger27's advice column | Ask bumdinger27 A Question ]

AskAndy answered Tuesday November 2 2004, 8:55 pm: My best advice to you is lose weight the hard way. Diet pills, patches and other things don't work.
Eat right, exercize, and watch the pounds go away!If your looking for a quick-fix weight loss,go under the knife. Most rapid weight loss is unsafe so don't bother.Pills and surgery will kill you,so stay safe and go to the Gym!I know this because my dad is a doctor, and i've ben reading medical books since i was 5!
