Hey!I was wondering if you can get colored contacts even if you don't need them because I only want to change the color of my eyes. Also, I would like to know if I would have to make an oppointment with an optomitrist(sorry about the spelling)before I get them? Thanks!
marchingbandbaby answered Sunday December 26 2004, 11:47 pm: yes you can get coloured contacts without needing them, but you need to make sure you go the eye doc to get them so that they can be just right for your eyes because if you dont they can completely mess up your eyes. oXISaBeLXo answered Monday December 13 2004, 9:50 pm: Yes you can actually get colored contacts even if you don't need to correct your vision. And yes If i were in your position I would visit an eye doctor so they can make sure your eyes are suitable for contacts.
Good Luck [ oXISaBeLXo's advice column | Ask oXISaBeLXo A Question ]
AnGeLtHuGsTa answered Thursday October 28 2004, 11:28 pm: Yeah, you could get contacts even if your vision is perfect. I wear contacts all the time because I like changing my eye's colour. Before you go and buy them, you do need a letter or whatever from an optomotrist to give to the store your going to. Something like that, I totally forgot.... ~Good luck!~ [ AnGeLtHuGsTa's advice column | Ask AnGeLtHuGsTa A Question ]

Mercy_x_Me answered Thursday October 28 2004, 4:08 pm: yeah you don't need to have contacts to get the colored ones. My friend was gunna get them and she doesn't need glasses she just didn't like her eye color. Although, she chickened out cause you have to put eye drops in your eyes everyday and stuff and its not all that easy. But glad you want it!
kristen22 answered Thursday October 28 2004, 2:02 pm: Yes, you can wear colored contact lenses without having eye sight problems. I think there awesome, that have some really cool colors out that range from sea blue, to honey, to violet.
Do I have to get an eye exam before I can order colored contact lenses?
Naturally it is best if you saw a doctor before ordering contact lenses to be sure you can wear them, to get proper care and instructions.
paradiei3abii3x answered Thursday October 28 2004, 1:49 pm: Yah, of coarse yuu can get them. They shouldn't hurt yuu at all or anything like that. And yuu shouldn't have to make an appointment to get them. Hope ii helped!
xo_Ali answered Thursday October 28 2004, 1:19 pm: Yes you cand definatly get them without a perscription! They will NOT hurt your eyes. I'm not positive if you need an appointment with your doctor but that would be the smartest thing to do. Have fun with them! [ xo_Ali's advice column | Ask xo_Ali A Question ]
Riggzy answered Thursday October 28 2004, 12:18 pm: Yes. It's illegal to give the colored contacts without a prescription, because it will damage your eyes. [ Riggzy's advice column | Ask Riggzy A Question ]
hailebop answered Thursday October 28 2004, 11:43 am: Yes, it is possible to get coloured contact lenses even if you don't have a pescription. You'll need to be shown at the opticians how to put them in (and remove them!) as this is quite difficult to master. Good luck! [ hailebop's advice column | Ask hailebop A Question ]
MelikoDee answered Thursday October 28 2004, 11:21 am: Yes you can get them. The eye doctor or an optometrist will have to do a fitting so they can specially order the contacts for you.
You have to tell them you don't want prescription contacts. They will order power 0 contacts for you. During the fitting, you have to learn how to put the contacts in and take them out. That's the only difficult part. :) [ MelikoDee's advice column | Ask MelikoDee A Question ]
