Despite popular belief, teachers are not the enemy. They're there to help you. It might involve a little sacrifice on your part (staying after school/going into school early), but if you wanna pull up the grades on those papers, you should be willing to work a bit.
So just ask them for help. Or your parents, maybe, whoever you're more comfortable asking for help. (I would ask the teacher(s), though. They can teach you to do what they want on the assignments.)
Once you figure out what the teacher wants, and/or what you can do to improve your papers, you'll find it a lot easier to write and your grades will go up. Trust me.
Hope this helped!

Pixiemagic14 answered Friday September 17 2004, 9:31 pm: well this happened to me last year but it could have been avoided if i went to school all the time but anyways i think you should pay attention in class try harder and if you have problems with your work tell your teacher. I mean that is what they're there for to help you and teach you. You'll see the more you apply your self the better grades you'll get. [ Pixiemagic14's advice column | Ask Pixiemagic14 A Question ]
Karen answered Friday September 17 2004, 9:01 pm: Ask your teachers if you can redo them so you can get a better grade. Next time, you should study if htese papers were tests. Also, if you don't want your parents to find them, just throw them out. Hope I helped :) [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
yumiko answered Friday September 17 2004, 9:00 pm: Could you post some examples of comments your teachers give you? Knowing that you're getting bad grades doesn't give me enough information to help you figure out what you need to change. I'll edit this when I have sufficient information. :) [ yumiko's advice column | Ask yumiko A Question ]
FrEe2bMe answered Friday September 17 2004, 8:56 pm: Okay, so the smart thing to do would be to ask for help. Go to your teacher for tutorials or start studying more and looking up things when you don't know them. Tell your parents -they are going to find out eventually any ways. You could also get a private tutor and set up study groups with friends. Whether it seems like it or not, grades matter...specially in high school.
