working too hard I'm a freshman and i think i'm workin myself too hard. I come home exhausted almost everyday and i take a nap. Then when i wake up, it takes me a few hours to do my homework and i'm really tired. I play a sport year-round and i think i might have to give up 1 or 2 of those sports. What should do? Am i working myself too hard?

Def. dont quit your sports... when i do, my grades drop and i am always in a bad mood... sports relieve stress and they help you to keep a good attitude and good grades... if i wasnt in sports all the time, i wouldnt care if i was ineligable or not... so it helps me... good luck ~Jess~ ]

I had the same thing from freshman-sophomore year. All I can really say is that you shouldn't give up the sports you love unless you really are suffering from them. Sometimes, just doing your HW right away rather than taking a nap can help. Then you can just go to sleep until morning. I've done it a few times, and it works to catch up on sleep. ]
Probably. Sometimes that happens to me too. So maybe u should take a break every once in a while. You know some days u work really hard and then have a cool down day. so yes it might be a good idea to give up one or two of the sports that u do. It will deffinetly increase your health and make u feel better. I hope that I helped you out.

I htink you are working yourself to hard..i would take a weekend for yourself..maybe go to a spa or do what you love to do that is relaxing! Well hope i helped..rate me =)

Go to bed erlier at night. And deff don't give up any sports. Exercise gives you lots of energy. Im a freshman too and I do cross country and lacrosse and i come home hyper and lots of energy. GoOd LuCk. ]
You're most definitely putting too much pressure on yourself.
I was like that last year also. Taking a nap is so very tempting but it just slows down your ability to work after you wake up -- you really don't work efficiently for some time after you sleep.
I'm not sure how your schedule goes, doing homework ad lunch is always a good idea. If you have any other free periods, don't slack off during them, do some work if you can.
If you have teachers who give you homework sheets which list all the HW for a few weeks or so in advance, or one who assigns HW due in 3 or 4 days take advantage of it! It can be tempting to socialize, but you may have to cut time away from fun for work, because that's high school, and it sucks.
If none of that can work for you, or if you just want everything to be easier without doing work in school/in advance, you may want to drop one of the sports.
I had to drop playing baseball when I got to high school, it took up too much time. It was bad at first, but in the end you're making a good decision.
Whatever you do, make sure you always leave some time for sports, once a week, once every two weeks, just don't stop -- because you CAN forget/get rusty at them, and you'll regret it. ]

A FEW HOURS IS TO MUCH! you gotta cut out all the time you are passin notes or something in school or w.e get some e/x while u r in school so u dont take so long.. have a friend help u " wink wink " ]
I think giving up one or two of the sports is the best thing to do right now until you get into a good scedule for school. You need a routine then you can add some stuff to it gradually and get adjusted. Good luck! Freshman year never starts out great.. it'll get much better. ]
If thats what it takes to get As, then no. Remember sports arent as important as your school work. You shouldn't be this whiped out from just doing school and homework though, try to get a study hall at school or something if too much homework is the problem. Make sure you get atleast 7 hours of sleep at night, that should help. If you still feel that tired talk to a parent, tiredness is a sign of depression and many other diseases. ]
