If you aren't in a creative mood, meditation is a great way to mellow out.

But, when that does happen to me, I usually stay in my room and listen to music for hours and hours, I love music. And I'll clean my room and reorganize it, do stuff like that to keep things off my mind. Or I go running or swimming or I workout or I go to the mall with friends to get things off my mind too. I do anything that will keep me occupied and keep things off my mind pretty much. And sometimes if you're stressful, it helps to talk to someone and get it all off your chest. Just do something you enjoy, like sometimes writing things down and expressing your feelings help too if you don't want to talk to people about it.
