Gender Identity Disorder?
Has anybody heard of gender identity disorder? it's when you are born one gender but with the opposite gender's body? example, you can be a guy trapped in a girls body. I think I have a friend who has this. She's more than just a "tomboy." She dresses like a guy, acts like a guy, does manly things, talks manly, denies that she has or ever will get her period, and she duck tapes her boobs down. what do you think of this?

From what you have described, your friend sounds like she suffers from gender disphoria of some variety. There are many, many people who have feelings of gender disphoria. Your friend is by no means alone. She may well be confused about who she is inside, especially as she is growing through puperty. If she is transgendered, this will be an emotional and confusing time for her, as she is likely to feel even more alienated from her body. You don't want to pressure her to talk about this if she doesn't want to or isn't yet ready to, but you can show that you are open and ready to listen if she ever does want to talk about her gender and/or sexuality.
It's a tough topic to approach, and it might be better to wait until she brings it up with you. If you do want to talk about it, educating yourself beforehand is a great idea. There are many gender 'disorders', and there is a great deal of misunderstanding about transexualism. Showing sensitivy, understanding and knowledge when talking to your friend will make talking and coming to terms with her situation more easily. well thats what ur friend wants....sry but uve got to let her do what she wants....if she starts liking girls then i'd stay away for a little......or she could be one of those people who umm has boobs and a dick......its not her fault if she has a penis, and wants to act like a man.....idk what to tell ya....i hope i helped a little

If this is so.. that she is a guy/girl then I think you need to support her. If she needs anything maybe try and help her out. Maybe sit down and talk to her about this and tell her how you feel so then you dont feel wierd in front of her and if she denys it tell her that it is okay that it is your secrete and that you support her in her decisons. hope that everything works out! :-D

well if she was trapped in the boddy then she would still get her period. but yes this does happen sometimes, and people with gender disorder are not nessarly homosexual its rather odd really.

omg yes i believe you. there is this guy or girl at my school named acamy and it really weird because he dresses like a guy and acts like one but talks like a girl. all the teachers call him or her a girl but i dont know. i also heard of people who are born that have both parts of a boy or girl.

yeah she probably has gender idenity disorder, or esle she is just not comfortable with herself. but hey its not too mich of a big deal. shes your friend, and you should like her for whatever she wants to be. as long as she is happy, then who cares about all that stuff.
