jokerzgrl answered Tuesday August 31 2004, 4:54 pm: I'm not saying the goal is impossible, but its a little unhealthy. your body might not be used to a change like that, and it can have a dramtic effect on you healthwise. I don't really advise losing tha much weight all at once, try for maybe 20 or 30lbs. But to lose wieght:
1. Cut back on the fatty foods. If your gonna eat fatty foods, don't eat as much of it as you usually do.Cut it out gradually, becasuse if you try to get rid of it all at once, its gonna be hard to get rid of at all. Eat more salads and fruits, healthier stuff in general.
2. Exercise. What helped me lose weight was playing with neighborhood kids and dog-walking. I lost about 10 or 15lbs that summer.
3. Drink lots of water, it helps to clean out your system. Cranberry juice ( 100% juices in general) are helpful too.
4. Don't discourage yourself. I know its hard, but this is something you really want to do, right?
5. don't eat before you go to sleep, your body is resting at that time, and won't be able to burn off the energy, so it will just store it in fat.
babydoll69 answered Saturday August 28 2004, 6:13 am: k well i lost 3 pounds in 1 week by cutting out chocolate, sweets, crisps and fizzy drinks!!! and playin about 5 hours sport a week. i would just try eating healthy and when you feel hungry drink water and if your still hungry eat fruit!!
i rekon you should take up a sport, e.g tennis. meaning that you can enjoy it because its socialble, but achive somethng by getting better and loosing wieght. you could join a club, then you will meet loads of new people 2!! If you jst use an exercise bike - its no fun and ure jst counting the time left and the calories!!
Sunshine answered Saturday August 28 2004, 3:24 am: I went on the Atkin's diet and lost 50 pounds in 4 months. It's a low-carb diet. It's hard to stick to but it really works. I also walked at least 30 minutes 3 times a week. You can go to
atkins.com to find out all the information.
Hope I've helped and if you have any other questions please drop them in my inbox.
Leigh answered Friday August 27 2004, 8:30 pm: I think that is such a great goal!! To lose weight you are going to need to stay on a healthy diet. Stay away from carbs, breads pasta's, and junk food. Even though salads are good for you I don't ever think they fill you up but you can add tuna or grilled chicken to it. THere are so many things in the grocery store that are only certain amounts of carbs ect. that are great to try. Vegies are great but stay away from red meat. Get into the habit of exercising 5-6 times a week. Enroll into a gym or you can do your excersises at home. Just remember on excersising start out doing easy excersizes and keep progressing. All my luck!!

MeganKristine answered Friday August 27 2004, 8:12 pm: Well,I hope you are over 200lbs, because loseing 100 pounds if you're lower than that is wrong...anyways, try doing some crunches to make the belly flab go away, also try leg jacks. (Stand strait, and raise you leg to the side up and down, then swith the leg, do it over.)Foods are pretty simple, don't anything think high in sodium (salt) Cholesteral, and carbs. Those are what add up the pounds. As do things high is sugar, and fat. Try snacking on celery insted of chips, Carrot sticks instead of candy, and rice cakes (regular) instead of a hamburger. It may seem rough now, but in a year or so, i'm sure you'll look even better then you probably look now!

lilredhead953 answered Friday August 27 2004, 7:40 pm: 100 pounds is a lot! If you are really serious about this though do excercises like pilates if you are into stretching or tae bo if u like to move a lot. you could take excercise classes @ the y or something. You can jog, ride bikes, and do anything like that or get involved in an active sport. Eat lots of fruits and veggies and drink lots of milk, water, and juice. Cut down on sodas and deserts. Still, make sure u cover your basic food groups. Hope I helped! (sry this is so long!!!) [ lilredhead953's advice column | Ask lilredhead953 A Question ]

Ask_Anything answered Friday August 27 2004, 6:49 pm: first off- it's good you have a goal. but i hope you are in a situation where losing weight is something you need to do for your health benefit. if you are doing this for your health, than you should definitly start off with something easy. Walk around the house [or wherever you live] a few times. then move your way into jogging, and then into running. once you feel comfortable going a certain distance- next time do a little bit farther. food choices are simple- stick to the basic healthy diet [ask your doctor for this, im not an expert on the food diagram]. dont cut back on any important food group other than junk/snacky/not-so-great-for-you foods. to get specific sites- search google.com for your exact site you want to find [ex. basic, healthy diet or weight loss exercises] try around with key words until you find the site you want! good luck with your goal and always remember to stretch before exercises! =] -ask_anything [ Ask_Anything's advice column | Ask Ask_Anything A Question ]
