hi every one......im Tripp...and im in a band...and we REALLY suck ass....we practice like every day and shit...but we still suck like really bad....so if u know n e thing else we could do....tell me.
NovemberInMySoul answered Tuesday September 14 2004, 1:36 am: haha well ... I don't know what to tell you .... turn up the guitar , etc. - bass . I'm in a band - actually a popular from where I'm from local band out of Sacramento called HushKeepSilent . Either that or get some great lyrics and or replace the people with better members . If its the singer that sucks turn up the guitar , etc. bass , and lower the mic . Thats what this one local band from where I'm from called Ghost Ride does and they sound half-way decent .
But , if its the important things like - guitar , bass , drums .... buy earplugs . Haha I'm kidding . But , just do your best and hope for the best . If the singer also sucks write the greatest song lyrics and hope that makes up for sounding bad .

musicbox379 answered Saturday August 28 2004, 3:22 pm: Hey! Everyone gets inspired by different things. Not one is bad or good, they just are. If everyone in the band is just 'not feeling it' then maybe you should get together and name a few bands and groups that you like. Try to identify what type of sound you want. Once everyone agrees, figure out a way you can turn what you may see as a flaw into something artistic. For example, screaming is used in rock music a lot and some may view that as a flaw but it's artistic if used correctly anddone properly. Be proud of what you are doing. Music is about expressing yourself. Hope this helps. :) [ musicbox379's advice column | Ask musicbox379 A Question ]
XxTBSgirlxX answered Friday August 27 2004, 10:06 pm: Hey Tripp maybe you need to get better musicians and dont make up your own music yet, try to get sheet music from already famous bands and use theres for starters. [ XxTBSgirlxX's advice column | Ask XxTBSgirlxX A Question ]
miSScxoxo821 answered Thursday August 26 2004, 9:51 pm: Dear Tripp,
I don't know much about putting together a band, but I guess you can get more familiar with music. Like take music lessons. And then have some1 that is really good with music critique you, like, tell you what you are doing wrong and what things you should change to make the band better. I hope that helps. Since I kinda helped you, can you help me and rate me? Thx. Remember feel free to ask me anything anytime!

Ask_Anything answered Thursday August 26 2004, 1:00 am: hey tripp-
sounds like the band thing isnt working out that good. if you really want to get better, if possible- each band member should try to get a few lessons on their instrument. start easy and work your way up. dont practice EVERY day if you are getting worse and worse. but your effort sounds like your band could go far. just practice and try to learn some lessons before you go after the hard stuff. good luck with the band and remember to always have fun no matter what you sound like! -ask_anything [ Ask_Anything's advice column | Ask Ask_Anything A Question ]
*tasha* answered Thursday August 26 2004, 12:25 am: Hey!Just practice.Everyone sucks at first.Just settle down and don't work on to many things at once. Slow down, find one thing to do at a time, and practice it until you get it right. GOOD LUCK!
MFS answered Thursday August 26 2004, 12:16 am: stop practicing so often, take a break for a week or so, then come back to it... try jamming with other people, or invite others you know to jam with you. Look into lessons, even if informal. Practice on your own, apart from the band. Play in the dark, so that you are forced to listen to each other as you all play. During a practice, switch instruments, just to see what it is like.
The most important thing that so many forget about is this: if you're in a band, and it's not fun, then why are you in the band?
Edit: what I said applies to the singer - practice less, play in the dark, try picking up a guitar - even if you're horrible at it, do it for fun. Jam with other musicians - it is a great way to learn - sing songs that you normally would never sing. Listen to a broader range of styles and try to find ways to apply it all to what you want to do in this band. It all works, I've been in enough bands to know.
