heyyy every time i straigten my hair in the morning it takes like an hour and its like sooo perfectly straight every morning...but then at school its humid andd it gets all curly and looks bad. do you know why it does this? is it cuz my hair kind of has a natural wave to it or cuz my straigtener is not good enough?? if you know anything thatll help this or why this is happeninng lemme know thanks
advicemaster answered Saturday August 28 2004, 5:46 pm: my hairs the same way but worse. it is curly ans wavy and when it gets water on it, it puffs up. so what u do is get frizz stiff and put in on ther then straigten.i tried that with me hear it woked ok ut not really so i am useing a straingtener color thing so it should work on you too. it cost about 15-18$ at target. HappyAdvice answered Thursday August 26 2004, 11:19 am: Hi
First of all, if you straighten your hair all the time you should be using a ceramic straightner. Not only does it workl better than a flat iron, but it is also much better for your hair. The reson your hair gets curly is because of the humidity. Usually people who have naturally curly hair have really bad luck with humidity. If you want straight hair you could try japanese straighting. It permenently straighens curly/frizzy hair(ofcourse, hair will still grow in curly) But the =bad part is that it is VERY expensive, 300 dollars and up!!
Finally, there are many hair products, such as straightening spray or gel to keep your hair straight. Good Luck with your hair. Remember curly hair is pretty too. [ HappyAdvice's advice column | Ask HappyAdvice A Question ]
bRiAnNaLyNn22 answered Thursday August 26 2004, 3:24 am: hey!! i have verrry curly hair myself and i straighten it just about every morning...mine gets puffy from the humidity too its SUCKS! i jst started using straightening gel and its working pretty good for me. but its allways gone end up bein a little puffy :(
If u notice that your hair is getting damaged from straighting it so much...get a curl enhancing gel and put it on when u get out of the shower and scrunch your hair..and just leave your hair curly! Its a new look and its very cute! I recommend Curl.life . You can by it at any professinal salon! And i doubt its because ur hair straightener is bad, its just the moisture in the air! <3 [ bRiAnNaLyNn22's advice column | Ask bRiAnNaLyNn22 A Question ]
MummuM answered Wednesday August 25 2004, 11:40 pm: Girl, I have the same problem - that's why I got a straight perm. You can get them in the hair dye sections. It's a regular perm (that curls your hair). Well, you put everything in your hair it tells you to put in BESIDES the curlers. (So, your hair don't go curly, it goes straight). You can always get one of them, their super cheep and work great! [ MummuM's advice column | Ask MummuM A Question ]

xOchErrytWistOx answered Wednesday August 25 2004, 3:21 pm: Ok, hun, its not your straightener! When it is humid out, your hair curls. Straightening it is not gonna make it immune to the humidity. When it is humid, wear your hair up, wear it wavy, or try something else. There's no point in straightening your hair when its going to get curly. Wait till October and you probably wont have this problem again until next summer.

xxoBriannax answered Wednesday August 25 2004, 1:54 pm: I hate when that happens, I have really straight hair naturally but like inside of my hair its kinda wavy, so I straighten it. And when its like humid out or raining it curls!! It piss me off. It does this I guess, because of moisture? I don't know how to help you, I'm sorry!!

xXxpinky615xXx answered Wednesday August 25 2004, 11:13 am: well this is what you should do... i have the same annoying problem with my hair and yes... an hour maybe more of your hard work making your hair beautiful and then POOF! the humidity screws it up. okay you should do your hair at night instead of in the morning so that way your hair will have more time to settle. wash your hair and then blow dry it straight and then straighten it... yes it is alot of extra work but the result will be worth it... also, buy some of that frizz ease hair serum stuff and put some on your hair when it's wet and then when you're done blow drying it put a little on again and then when you straighten it put JUST a little bit more on. you're hair will be silky smooth and straight. hope i helped! good luck! tommiegurlie23 answered Wednesday August 25 2004, 11:06 am: Its because your hair is naturally curly/wavy~! My hair gets like that when i travel to humid places like hawaii and when i went to florida! You pretty much only have 3 options...
1. straighten your hair like u do but KNOW its going to get wavy and then justput it up
2. Just wear your hair wavy...like put gel in it and blowdry it curly
3. Get your hair chemically straightned at a salon and it will be a lot less frizzy!
Hope i helped!!!!!!!!

UnluckyWishes answered Wednesday August 25 2004, 9:24 am: Yea it's definatly because your hair is naturally curly or wavey. My hair is just liek that.Except mine usually takes anwhere from and hour to two hours.even with regular straightners any bit of humidity or wetness to your brings out the waves if its really curly. There are some straightners that will get your straight at least from the humidity.i know at SEARS they have a couple realyl good straightners four around 30-50$.which is pretty cheap for the most part.Hope your hair gets better, let me know if you need anymore info.
