Wow, usually I give advice, not get it. Oh well. Lately, in the mornings, I've been getting really bad charly-horses, in my mid-calves. You know what a charly horse is, right? Yeah, it's like a major muscle cramp, and it hurts RELALY bad. They last for like a minute and a half, and I can rub my leg and it feels better, but I don't know. Is there any excersises or anything I can do to help that?

cutie_babee answered Saturday August 21 2004, 3:48 am: ok I had the exact same problem all I suggest you is to not flex your muscle in your claves cuz it might give one to u by it's self and do alot of lef excercises it will help the charly-horse to get like reduced....when I got them I had a limp in my leg and I couldn't walk but my mom told me to always put my heel down to walk...and well also if you touch you leg while it cramps and it's hard it's cuz your leg muscles are working to hard and they're skising....lol...but yeah just stick with calve workouts or leg workous it'll do da same
cailoisa answered Saturday August 21 2004, 12:34 am: Eat lots of potassium. Try having a banana right before bed. When you get one, keep your leg straight and point your toes toward your head. If you need to, use your hand to help. It hurts like mad for a second, and then it's over.
Try very gentle calf stretches in the evenings. Stand on a block or step with just your toes, and slowly lower your heels as far as you can. Stand flat on the floor and stretch your whole body straight to the ceiling. Sit flat on the floor with your legs straight in front of you and try to touch your toes. If you can grab them, pull them towards your head. If not, bend one leg, keep the other straight, and pull the toes of the straight leg back. Do all of this very gently and slowly. Hope that helps! xlostangelx answered Friday August 20 2004, 11:10 pm: You need some minerals. eat a couple bananas every day for a few days for Potassium. Drink lots of milk for calcium and Vitamin D. Spend more time in the sun to get more Vitamin D. And, also, when you get these charlie horses, take Ibrubrofen 600ml....you'll have to get em from the doctors office..
