People are often taken aback by my angelic-ly white teeth. They ask how they are so white. Then if they are worthy, I tell then the ancient ninja secret to white teeth; a toothbrush. No seriously, just brush your teeth at least two times a day.

Despite the words of all the cool kids that never wear helmets, put on seatbelts or brush thier teeth, having good oral hygiene is very cool indeed. In five years they will end up on the streets (smeared across the pavement like red paint, I mean) because they never wore them seatbelts. And when the forsenics dude has no other choice but to use thier teeths for proper identification, those cool kids will be out of luck since thier teeth would have rotted away by then from trying to be so cool.

Getting them done at the dentist is usually the best way to go -- they can also give you custom trays to use, but that's pretty pricey too. Try the rembrant 2-hour white stuff .. they're trays, and I think you wear them for 2O minute increments until your teeth are as white as you want them. It's only like, 2O bucks, too. I've never tried it, but it seems like it'd work pretty well. I've also heard good things about whitestrips. You could also get a GOOD whitening toothpaste, and that can help a lot -- and if you use something else to whiten them, use a whitening toothpaste afterwards so that they don't get discolored again.

try brushing your teeth 3 times a day, and floss, and use crappy 10 dollar whitener, it will atleast help a little, and if all else fails go to your dentist

You're so lucky to get your braces off, mine have to stay on for another couple of months! =/

My dad used Crest White-Strips and they worked really well. After about a month, his teeth were so white (not blinding). Also, he uses a whitening toothpaste.

Make sure you stay away from coffee, soda, or any other food or drink that may stain your teeth.

Good luck & smile! =)

this hits close to home! i get my braces off in about two months and i have ben brushin my teeth like 7 times a day bcus im so worried about that! lol ok first buy whitening toothpaste. (with baking soda in it or other products..it will say on the bottle) Actually i kno a lot of ppl who tried the whitening products and they worked really well for them. Also, try avoiding food that stains your teeth, coffee, tea, etc. About the expensive part, look around in the newspaper or catalogs and look for coupons for drugstores. You can get really good deals. Also, if all else fails, u could always get ur teeth bleached professionally. Its probly expensive, but if u saved up it would b worth it! Happy Brushing! lol
Good Luck

Heh. That was my problem, too. I had white spots where my braces were, and the area around that was yellowy-ish. I used those "Crest Whitening strips". The helped a LOT, but it tok a bit longer than two weeks, with one strip every day for 30 minutes. It wasn't exactly invisible, either. It also felt reeeally weird. However, it worked, and it cost something less than $20.00, but I don't know exactly. I suggest asking your dentist or orthodontist. That's how I found out about them! Hope I helped.

MFS answered Thursday August 12 2004, 5:15 pm:
Whitestrips tend to work the best. There are some generic strip-like products, that while not as good as the Crest stuff, still work decently. The brush-on stuff generally isn't that hot. Look for coupons for Crest if you go that route.

Just go out and buy the crst white strips they really do work! But you have to do them for 7-14 days! What i did that worked and was a quick fix was use Rembrent 2 hour whitning kit! You can get it at your longs or whatever drug store you have! They both work! Also use a whitning toothpaste! xoxo

Well, you could tRy "CRest Whitening StRips". Yes, they ARE expensive, and I've heaRd both positive and negative things about it. My Mom and Dad said they didn't see ANY impRovement, wheRe as... my fRiends Mom said it made the WORLD'S diffeRence and RestoRed heR confidence big time. I'm not shoRe what it depends on, but appaRently diffeRent people have diffeRent Results, so just because it didn't woRk foR someone else.. doesn't mean it won't woRk foR you. I've neveR used them, so I don't know.. but if you'Re THAT despeRate it's woRth a shot! And also, select a toothpaste that claims to "whiten". Best of luck!! Hope I helped!! =D
