I didn't know where to put this question, but anyway, I can ride horses bareback very well and I jump horses very well (with a saddle of course). Think I would get hurt if I tried jumping without a saddle? I've never fell off a horse bareback, and I flatout gallop them. Just wonderin.

samiam0359 answered Wednesday December 29 2004, 1:04 am: It all depends. If you can gallop around bareback and you trust your horse i would do it! i have a horse and i ride him bareback all the time and i think it would be really fun to jump bareback. Whatever you do i would start out jumping small stuff and then work your way up higher. Hope i helped and hope everything workes out.. you can im me and tell me what happens

xo_dream answered Monday August 16 2004, 3:00 am: I'd stick with the saddle. I've galloped a horse bareback [[ and jumped VERY small things - unintentionally - ]], and it just doesn't seem like it'd be terribly safe to do any jumping without a saddle.
