im a 14 year old male teen soi use tthe comp alot.my mom and dad r always tryin 2 c wat i do on the comp. they almost neva give me ne privacy on it. in fact rite now im on a crumy laptop in my bed and every1s alseep. 2day they say me talkin 2 som1 on AIM that they didnt no. they kept bitchen bout how i broke their trust or somethin and now my dad is gonna take aim away 4ever off all our comps!!! som1 plz help me and tell me wat i shud do!!!

Let them sit down with you and show them what you know about AIM and how to safely talk to people. If you show them that you can be honest and careful and sometimes include them in your online time, they will be able to know what you are doing without being over your shoulder the whole time your on the computer.

They're just doing it because they care... They dont want you talking to strangers ((oops)) who might want to meet you then blah blah blah... So talk to them... Tell them you know stranger danger and that you use AIM to talk to your friends from school. That happend to me too. Just talk to them nice and calm. how did you break their trust? do they think you are a fuckin idiot? or a 4 yr old? Tell them they need to chill out. Well actually explain to them that need to trust you. That you are not stupid and there is nothing wrong with talking to people on the internet. They need to calm down and know that you wont do anything stupid.
