Hey..
me and my friend are together in a babysitting job and we love children so much and we just already let out flyers one,last year and once just recently the next year..on the 1st year flyer given out..no1 responded..the 2nd year one responded..liked our job..gave us $20 each for 1 1/2 hours...i know.. alot..o well..lol..back to the subject..ever since that day..no1 has responded..what should we do? send out more flyers or keep waiting or quit caring..what should we do??

You have to be assertive. hang more flyers and of different colors to attract people's attention. put them everywhere you can. sooner or later someone will give you a call. so just hold on. oh and on your flyers put your recomendations and just make it unique and fun!

you should place an ad in a paper bcuz alot of people read the paper! that will get you more publicity! good luck!

Don't quit if it is something you enjoy doing. Make the flyers more colorful, and stuff. And make prices a bit lower. The prices should be at least 3-5 dollars an hour, or 20 dollars for the whole night. So just wait and send out more flyers. Best Of Luck.

To tell the truth i dont think flyers are the best way to get babysitting jobs, back in Bend Oregon where I use to live, a girl and her friend were doing the same thing, with flyers... and they went to some persons house to baby sit their kid... (which they ended up not having any) and the guy rapped them and killed them. Not trying to scare you but its a true story! I think you should talk to family members or family friends, or friends parents to baby sit... not the best to babysit strangers kids! Hope you find someone to babysit their kid.

Hand out more.. try handing them out in different places. And maybe you aren't getting any jobs because you guys are a team. If you babysat separately, people might be more willing to hire you.

Try again. You can always tell your parents to pass them out at their work. Like if their co-workers have kids and they would like to go out and have fun they can call you! So just try again! Good luck!!

i think that you guys shouldn't do it together, most people like it better when one person is doing it by themselves, that way they know, all your attention is on the kids and not on your friend. (keep in mind, they don't know you, and so they assume stuff)
if you don't want to seperate than i think your best bet is to ask the 1st client if they have any friends that need babysitters (that way you'll get recommended as doing a good job, & their friends know that you will spend all of your time with the kids, and not become destracted by your friend.) if she doesn't have any friends than i think you should put ur flyers in mailboxes and anywhere else around your neighborhood .. ex. like grocery store, library, & other stores where they have bulliton or notice boards!!

Ok, from what it sounds like it doesn't seem to me many people need a babysitter. You have to get known try asking friends that have to watch their lil sister's and brothers if you can watch them. You just have to keep trying to get your name out. Or go to a near day care and ask them for advice. Also it could depend on your age. Most adults want adults to watch their kids! well if you have any further questions just ask I'll always be willin to give a helpin hand

You could always send out more flyers, or post it around places. A TON of people need babysitters around here, thats probably how it is there too. Just put good information... And let them know you guys are experienced and just make them feel comfortable enough too call you and offer you guys the job.
