Mongosis1 answered Sunday January 11 2004, 10:54 pm: Dear Bad Grades,
Usually, in the first quarter of the school year, the teachers are easy on you and the assignments are simple. Then, once the year gets rolling, the work is harder and the teachers expect more. You need to pay attention more, and ask the teachers for help when you need it. I'm sure everyone is willing to give you help with your schoolwork if you ask. So basically, you just need to buckle down and get serious.
*Suzy*
Dear Flunking Out,
I think I have an answer for you. Maybe the reason you aren't doing so well is that instead of studying and doing homework, you are sitting at your computer asking for adive from internet strangers. Also, if you talk like you are 7 and are sounding out words and writing them how they sound, that could add to your bad grades also. Another solution, could be that if you are on drugs, which you probably are, don't do them. Try to take a test when you're not trying to be cool and ghetto fabulous, and don't stay up late drinking beer before a test. You need to stop getting advice from "Advicenators" and start getting homework tips from "Ask Jeeves". Try it, "dude". Then, once you flunk out anyways, at least you will have all your genius, good-willed, happy-go-lucky friends to rely on. Or if that doesn't work out, try being a hobo in New York City. That way, whenever you get thirsty, you can just grab a half full orange soda from a nearby trash bag, free of charge. [ Mongosis1's advice column | Ask Mongosis1 A Question ]
coolgirl57 answered Sunday January 11 2004, 9:17 pm: You should try to study more. if you already do then try to ask your teachers. they'll listen. if they don't your parents will. if this doesn't help tell me. [ coolgirl57's advice column | Ask coolgirl57 A Question ]
koshii answered Sunday January 11 2004, 8:13 pm: You quit trying and you suck. Get back on the ball and pick up those books while you are still in school, because if you slack off in college you'll be out of there as fast as you can blink. For some reason you're unmotivated... or else you found out the hard way that teachers crack down the second quarter. Pick up your feet and get moving quick! Jollylollipop answered Sunday January 11 2004, 7:58 pm: I am glad to hear that you made the honor roll, but I think you can do something about those F's. I think you might have some trouble with something else on your mind. Try to focus more on your work, and your grades will eventually rise. chiquitaban answered Sunday January 11 2004, 6:59 pm: perhaps you just stopped paying attention. the work is going to get incresingly harder. so you have to begin to focus on the task at hand. set aside about 3 hours a day to study for tests, do homework etc. dont stop untill youre done. In class, keep your ears and eyes tuned to the teacher. i know its hard, but try to keep your head out of the clouds. [ chiquitaban's advice column | Ask chiquitaban A Question ]

metawidget answered Sunday January 11 2004, 1:11 pm: Maybe you relaxed, attempted to rest on your laurels... or took up some new time-consuming project that keeps you from focusing on school.
Figure out where you're taking your damage on your grades (check your graded tests and papers, work out if it's a type of assignment, or a partciular set of concepts, etc.) and work like a dog to deal with it.
shay*shay answered Sunday January 11 2004, 11:24 am: I think what you're doing is thinking that since you did so well that semester its gonna be real easy now. Well its not. Put in more efort to your work.
