Hi guys,
I am NEVER motivated to do my homework...if it is a big essay then I will plan and plan, but that's actually a bad thing because planning makes me feel like I've achieved more than I actually have. I end up rushing all my work the night before it's due. I'm alright once I've started doing it but I can never get round it!!
I've tried getting everything else I want/need to do out of the way first, but even when I do that I still just dawdle around hoping someone will sign into MSN or something. I've tried loads of things and nothing works. Anyone have any tips on how to get myself motivated and do my work on time?

You should think, "o manh, that huge essay is coming up. Than you should get it done first thing. Be sure you know that you will be able to wait for kids to sign on MSN and enjoy it without worrying about it at all.

I really really want to learn guitar. I looked into lessons but their like 20$ a half hour! Its crazy. My friends tell me to just teach myself, but I have no idea how. And my sister told me to get a book or DVD on it to learn from. What do you think? And guitsrists around that could help me? lol. And anyone who taught themselves, how did you and how long did it take?
I play electric bass. It is pretty similar to guitar just guitar has 2 more strings. I asked my music teacher from school if he could teach me and he did. Most of the learning songs has gone on by myself. If you have some free time, i mean like 2-3 hours you could find some sheet music and learn the songs. There is a website where you dont need to know the notes. It is called www.mxtabs.net. it just says what frets the notes are on. its easy. Fret 1 staring on the left and fret 12 on the right.
I really like the song Jaded by Mest, but i don't wanna buy a cd for one song- does anyone have the cd? is it worth getting?

Hey...i asked a question awhile ago about places to get music other than windows media, and someone told me about singingfish. i started using it and thought it was working fine, but when i tried to copy them onto a cd...it wouldn't work. it told me they weren't able to copy..
any ideas why?

Ok so I've tried about four different legal, free ways to downlaod music but either they don't downlaod or I can't burn the music onto a cd. What do you think is a good, free, legal, music downlaoding program?
I use windows media player. you might not be interested with 99 cents a song but its lighning fast. You can burn a cd in less than 5 minutes.
Ok so I write a lot of poetry and I gave advice to someone about making a poem into a song but the poetry I write is very depressing and isn't really the song type. How do I come up with song lyrics of my own, and how do I put music to it (like acctually write out sheet music, idk where all the notes go)?
Ok,you might want to find opposites to the depressing words that you came up with. You come witha rythym you want and then you can instant message me tell me what instrument you play and while help you with the notes.

13/f I've been playing th epiano for 4 years, i have to admit, I'm gettin pretty good at it, but I HATE IT!!!!!!! I've hated it since maybe 2 years ago, but my parents always say: "oh, your getting better" or "the piano teacher will be so upset if you quit". But now, I've just about had it, and my parents are like; give it a chance, one more lesson, but when they do that they'll tell the teacher i wanna quit, and he gets all nice and easy....ugh I HATE IT.
I've always been interested in the drums or guitar....something not very easy, but new to learn. If I do quit though, this'll be a load to drop on my parents [they're the sort of classical, act professional, ivy-league-for-you parents, plus I'd have to get the instruments somewhere!!!!
I just asked my parents a minute ago to quit, and they got all "stop being a teenager....ugh" and "one more lesson" how can I FIRMLY tell them I want to quit, without all this other crap coming up? And how hard is it to play the drums? either question, I'LL LOVE YOU IF YOU ANSWER IT!!
I play the piano and the electric bass guitar. I really dont want to quit but you could say to your parents i have no interest in piano and the more you give me lessons the more i am losing enthusiam. Besides, the only reason the piano teacher would be upset is because he/her is losing money. You and your family are waisting money by these pointless lessons. Make sure your parents are aware of this. if you are wondering about the guitar, piano will help you with it when it comes to reading music. When you know the music you are set on the guitar.

the space in between the frets that have two dots-that is called the harmonic. If your wondering how to tune an octive higher you gently hold your finger against that fret.

hey you guys, i have a friend that doesnt like any of my other friends. After she meets them she just judges them and tell me all the negative things that she assumes of them. I am very picky about friends so of course none of the crap she says is true cause their all carefree FUN people. Shes the only one of my friends that is boring and dull. When i try to hang out with someone else she tags along and its really bothering me. I have other people to hang out with besides her, and obviously she doesnt cause she doesnt like anyone. I try to avoid her a lot but she still finds me. I can tell she is annoyed by me but still tried to hang out with me cause she has noone else. What can i do about that? i mean i cant talk to her about it cause im too nice.
you should ask what she has against your other friends. Than if she starts assuming again you can bring up how she tags along and how u dont like it. If that doesn't shut her up than just say "no one is perfect"
