How to avoid putting my foot in my mouth

Hello,
I am 27 years old and have been grappling with my social awkwardness from my early teens. I've always been very shy and insecure, though have improved greatly over the years. I've learned to accept myself the way I am, but sometimes I still make the same social mistakes. I am tired of embarassing my husband, family and friends when I make social blunders - namely putting my foot in my mouth. I am always conscious of other's feelings, so don't do it on purpose. That's the problem - I don't even realize that I've said something wrong most of the time. I only find out what a doofus I was when my husband or someone else asks me how I could have said what I said - didn't I realize how rude that was?! I feel so ashamed, and...

I'm worried I might get fired

I had to work today for the huge boxing day sale at our store. My shift started a 8 in the morning. For the first 6 hours things were going well, but the last hour of my shift was a nightmare. My boss called me to the back and told me to finish pricing some items on the shelf that hadnt been marked down yet. Then she drilled me about why the work hadnt been finished on christmas eve. I told her that it had been extremely busy with customers and that one of the staplers broke down that we were using to tag onto the clothing. She didnt buy it and said " oh so thats your explanation? " She asked me what I did about the stapler and I told her I talked to one of the managers and then she asked for her name and what she told me. ...

So I haven't seen my boyfriend a lot lately. I'm afraid he's losing interest in me. He was sick before so he couldn't come see me. I haven't seen him in 2 weeks. I thought the break would bring us closer but it he hasn't been able to get a ride. I really think I'm not going to see him until next year which would be a month of not seeing him. Is it wrong to get upset about it? It feels like it is. I see him once every week or so.. So it feels like I haven't been around him in 2-3 months and people are saying that I'm too emotional..

how do i talk about my thoughts?

I am confused. I really need someone I can talk to about things, but I don't know who to turn to. My friends are great, but I just can't talk to them. My parents are great too, but I can't talk to them either. I don't know what to do. I was considering going to the school guidance counselor, but I'm afraid to. I'm sort of afraid of guidance counselors in general anyway. I really want someone to talk to about some things that go on in my head, but I am afraid to, if that makes any sense. I'm also annoyingly specific and paranoid about who I talk to. It has to be a person person. As in, someone who I can see who can be in the same room as me. Online stuff has never worked for me. And...it has to be an adult...or at least someone ol...

I'm always jealous of other girls because I I know that their so much prettier than me. I'm even jealous of my friends. One of my friends is like so perfect: shes pretty, all the boys are like in love with her.. her life is just perfect all together. and i am SOO jealous! I reallly want to get over it but i dont know how. I'm constantly comparing myself to other people .. and i think that brings down my self-esteem.
i just want to stop being jealous because it just makes me feel worse about myself..
how do i stop being jealous? and is there anyone else out there who feels the same way ?

Digital Camera..

I just got a digital camera for Christmas. It's a Vivitar and the link for it is http://vivitar.com/vivitarwork/productsshow_2.php?product_id=6&category_id=12&parent_id=1
I just got a memory card for it. When the memory card is in it, whenever I try to take a picture or delete a picture it says, "Card locked!" It worked fine with the memory card before, but then this message just started coming up. When I take the memory card out, it works, as well.
Does anyone know what is wrong with this and how I can fix it? I've tried a lot of things. Anything would be of great help!

Hey everyone. Well for New Years me and my one friend want to get drunk. Well, not drunk with alcohol but like maybe a caffeine high...play it safe. What are some drinks that have a lot of caffeine in them or any other drinks that get you really hyper...almost as if you were truley drunk. haha Thanks for the advice!

Hey advicenators-
This is in not intended to be surly in any way. Just stay with me, you won't believe your eyes. If you've ever noticed when you go to ask a question on advicenators, there are guidelines or "notes" beneath it regarding what you should and shouldn't do.
The third bullet point says word for word; "You'll get better advice if you make some attempt to use proper spelling and grammer."
Since WHEN is GRAMMAR spelt with an E? That's pretty contradictory, you really ought to practice what you preach. Any suggestions on how I can contact the administrator of this website? Thanks.

Hey. Well, I'm going shopping this Wednesday, and I was wondering if stores like Forever 21, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Victoria's Secret, Nordstrom, Aeropostale, Charlotte Russe, etc. have sales by then because of after Christmas or upcoming New Years, etc. Thanks!

Telling Mom I smoke

I'm 14. I'ma girl and I've been smoking for 2 years. Im a smoker and I like it and I know I'm not going to quit. I'm tired of hiding it and I want to smoke in the house with my mom like she does. I just dont know the best way to tell her. Should I just say it or should i write her a letter.

I just ordered a pair of 00 jeans offline from American Eagle. I'm pretty skinny for my age (not bragging, just a fact), and whenever I try on regular 0 jeans there the length is fine but it's a little too big on the butt. Does anyone else out there order 00 from AE or know of anyone? Typically, how much do you have to weigh to fit into them?
If you're not sure about every single question here it's fine, but the more info the better.
