how effective are they?
is there a good chance that they can be wrong?
how long after becoming pregnant can pregnancy be detected? and the later you take it, is there a better possability that it will show?

Does every girl eventually go on birth control?
I'm only fourteen, and I haven't disscussed it much. (I'm not sexually active, nor plan to be in the near future) But I read somewhere that since every girl gets birth control that they have many ways to take it (Pills, etc)
So is it true that every girl has to/does go on the pill?

Hey, What's the best flat iron brand?
I've had my current hair straightener for a little over a year and it's not working very good anymore, it's a Conair. I was looking for something a little more expensive and higher quality. I can't spend any more than 70 dollars.
I need pictures, details, how good it works and where I can buy it.

my friend is 2 months late on her period and has taken 2 pregnancy tests from the store and both came out negative but she is worried she hasnt started yet. her breasts are sore and she says she notices her stomich looking a little bit bigger. i am the only person that knows and i have to find a way to help her!!!

My family is far from rich. My mom and dad are both on social security. I only have one pair of jeans and it's emarrasing. I have to wear the same pair of jeans every other school day and everybody notices. I've had these pair of jeans for over a year now and they are so worn out. The insides of them are so holy. And they are so washed out. I have no money to go out to buy any jeans. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help?

My computer/ ipod is being weirdd!!

Last Christmas i got an iPOD nano.
It worked really great until this year..
My computer got a virus so the company re-started my computer. Now its all fresh again.. but all my programs are gone.. ( meaning itunes) and i got it back on and now the computer won't read my iPOD!!! So here are my questions
- do i need to take it back?
- should i take it to the apple store?
- WHATS WRONG WITH IT!!

sex stresses me out

Me and my girlfriend have been sleeping together for a while, except recently I've been worrying myself to pieces. Even when we use a condom and it hasnt split or slipped for weeks later I'll be stressing out because I get paranoid she could become pregnant.
Recently Ive been avoiding sex and she's starting to notice I don't know how it'll affect our relationship. I don't want to be this paranoid about sex for the rest of my life either I just can't stop worrying! I don't know what to do?

Always Tired

sleep I always wake up feeling drowsy and tired.
I'm healthy, I eat well. My bed isn't

I am 16/f and the guy is 16 and my guy best friend...
Ok, well I really really love this guy, and I told him...and well things got all wierd but then one of my friends said don't talk to him for a while 'the lets take a break death-sentence' anyways so i did and well we havnt talkeds since about the 19th dec. and yea. yesterday he sent me an email that read something like "why aren't you on msn anymore!? thats all i have to say!" and well I answered it. now we havbt talked since that, should i wait for him to email me or should i email/call him?

Alright this is the very first time i even discussed the this anywhere either in person or online. so here goes. Im a 38 year old truck driver. I live in Maine. I have trouble speaking to strangers. I drive all week alone by myself and usually spend the weekend home alone. I dont like being alone. but I cant seem to talk myself into going out. I dont believe im looking for sympathy. Im looking for motivation. I dont do well around large crouds of people and starting up conversations is Very uncomfortable for me. Im unmotivated unless it comes to my job. i hardly ever finish anything i start unless it comes to my job. I am a very disorganized person. Personally I think my self esteme is quite low. my friend is in jail and i really want to go see him but i have no idea how...my parents would never let me go visit him but i have friends who are 18+. do i need someone to be 18 years or older to go with me? do i need to make an appointment? and how much trouble could i get in if i lied and told the officers i was his sister just to see him?

ok so i was supposed to start my period like 5 days ago and i just started today..i feel like i would normally feel whenever im on my period but im not bleeding like i would...im usually heavier than this..i mean right now im barely bleeding at all. what does this mean?

i have been on the pill for almost 2 years now and i always get my period on the 3rd to last pill in the pack but this time i got it on the 5th to last pill in the pack and that has never happened befor so i dont understand why it is happening now? can you tell me why? and is it bad?
