Hair Straighteners.

Question Posted Saturday December 30 2006, 1:13 pm

Hey, What's the best flat iron brand?
I've had my current hair straightener for a little over a year and it's not working very good anymore, it's a Conair. I was looking for something a little more expensive and higher quality. I can't spend any more than 70 dollars.
I need pictures, details, how good it works and where I can buy it.

Thank you!

for further reference DO NOT get ANY hair products by conair they never work and their cheap their pretty much a piece of crap that your wasting your money on,you need something thats more of a high quality. If you see a straightner that says "ceramic" on it chances are its a great shraightner those kind last a long time. For example, the gold flat iron shown in this picture [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) the far left one works very well i had it and it lasted me a few years.I use "vial sassson ceramic strahightner" thats what it looks like:[Link](Mouse over link to see full location) i got it from sallys beauty supplies store its amazing its my favorite straightner that ive had by far and i have a lifetime warranty so i can get a new one when the one i have breaks but i havent had to return it after about 2 years now and it still works as good as it did when i first got it.I would suggest if you have a beauty supply store near you (like sally's) then get your straightner there they have the best straightners.I found some websites that suggest had the best straightners:

About a month ago I bought one from Hot Tools it was $50.00 at a professional beauty supply store. It is a professional grade and is model 1199V2. It has 1 1/2" plates and a curved sides.
My friend also has this one and we both love it. I do not have any pictures but here is the web site www.HelenofTroyUSA.com
If this doesn't work go to a professional beauty supply store they can compare them for you and let you know the pro's and con's of each one.
