Always Tired

Question Posted Saturday December 30 2006, 11:41 am

I'm always tired, even if I get 13 hours of
sleep I always wake up feeling drowsy and tired.
I'm healthy, I eat well. My bed isn't
lumpy or bad for my back (I heard this could
be a problem) So why am I always tired!?

Chances are, exercising and sleeping less like suggested below will help. BUT, if not, you might want to see your doctor.

You may be tested for Mono, and some other illnesses that could cause fatigue. Some of them could do major damage, so although they're not likely, it's still important to get them ruled out.

If your fatigue started suddenly, after a flu-like illness, and you have pain, increased anxiety or mood problems, or even none of the above, there's the possibility that you have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It's not common though, and it's not something to worry about at this time.

First thing's first--try the suggestions below, and if none work quickly, get to your doctor.

Excercise. Exceercise produces hormones that gives you more energy. Take a jog for an hour or two. Sleep doesn't give you all the energy.

well there could be many reasons for this prooblem. first, you could just naturally be a really light sleeper, and not get into deep sleep (the kind that really makes you feel rested).
also, did you know that you can oversleep? sometimes you can actually sleep for too long and wake up drowsy.
i would suggest (no kidding) a nap somepoint in the day. they can really help, even like 30 minutes.
but i would also suggest talking to your doctor. maybe he/she can prescribe a sleep medication like lunesta or something.
hope i helped
