i live in florida and ive never been to new york city.
we're going on vacation in a couple days and me and my mom are going to broadway one night, just me and her, and i was wondering, what are you supposed to wear?
my mom told me to wear something dressy. but i dont want to be over dressed.
but then again, i dont want to wear a jean skirt and be under dressed.
so i really don't know what to do. i dont want to look like an idiot tourist.
please help. (:

okay well the thing is i recently dropped my cell phone into the pool, and its dead, so my parents yeah they were mad at me but they said i could get a new one. i saved up my money and gave them all i had, to pay for my new phone, and i really wanted the sidekick 3 or sidekick iD. but no.. i got my phone yesterday and it is the crappiest thing ever. i absolutley hate it! it has nothing on it, like no camera or video or whatsoever. i think it's unfair because if i'm paying for the phone, shouldn't i be able to pick my own phone? how do i convince my parents to get me a better phone?
and does anyone know the difference between the sidekick 3 & the sidekick iD?

Uncommon Teenaged Alcohol Question

Where I live, I'm only two years away from being at the legal drinking age. Of course it's bad for me to drink, but I rarely do. My question is about not drinking the alcohol, but just keeping it.
I have a place in my room where I can hide as much alcohol as I want and it will never be found. Whenever I get the chance to buy it, I do. But then I just stash it in that place and rarely drink it (once every few/several months at a party).
What I like to do however, is measure it, pour it and make calculations. I enjoy knowing that it's up there and calculating how much I have and what percentage of alcohol it contains. I'm not sure why I do this, but I find it interesting.

Okay my friend is 16 years old and her boyfriend is like 21, I think. Anyways her boyfriend is really mean to her and he's so controlling. He even tells her what time she can go to parties and what time she has to be back. He beats her and alot of othere stuff. I dont know how I can help her because she's trapped in this relationship. I dont know if its just the way you think or what. But I think it's a lil bit of both. Like your life plays a role on how you act. Laundry

Would sperm be killed during the washing/drying cycle when you do your laundry? We were talking about how this lady on a talk show was paranoid about her underwear being with college roommates underwear in the washer/dryer & sperm still being able to live. I thought this was a bit ridiculous but I didn't get to watch the end of the show. Wouldn't it die completely? Thanks!

Okay so I'm having a sweet 16 in like 3 hours and more than 40 people are going. But the thing is, the weather is TERRIBLE and it's supposed to be a pool party. I feel like my party is ruined. =( So I guess I have to plan some "indoor activities" on really short notice. Any ideas on how I can entertain more than 40 people, other than watching a movie? okay so im having a party on june 22nd. i REALLY want a big waterslide. the "bonzai falls" types is what im aiming for. but the cheapest i found was $200 and my dad said its too much. does anyone know where i can get the cheapest waterslides that are big? im 13 so no tiny baby slides. thankss

eyebrows waxed

I have a really bad unibrow. Like REALLY bad. My mom won't let me do anything with it: I am not allowed to pluck it, wax it, or remove it in any way. I try to pluck it, but its really hard because there's so many hairs, and also my mom hates it when I do. But recently she kind of gave up, because I still pluck it anyways.
I want to convince my mom to let me go to a salon and get it professionallly waxed. She will most definetly not be happy upon hearing this, but I just want to remove the unibrow, and get some touchups on my eyebrows. She thinks they will do it really thin, "just like those cashier ladies with drawn on eyebrows". It just makes me really mad. I was over at my friends house once, and she gets her eye...

convincing my mother

I want to pernamentley straighten my hair, but my mom won't let me. I am planning to pay for it. My mom still won't let me because, as she says, you will look like a wet muskrat, just like everyone else with stick straight hair.
But I am getting a haircut, and it will be shoulder length. My hair is EXTREMELY poofy, no matter what kind of shampoos or serums I use. When I straighten it with a straightener, which takes about an hour and a half (which I don't have time for) it gets really nice and silky, and the poof disapears.
I think I really need this: I only wear my hair down when I straighten my hair, which is about four times a year. Otherwise I wear it in a pony tail, which makes me feel like a tomboy. ...
