eyebrows waxed
I have a really bad unibrow. Like REALLY bad. My mom won't let me do anything with it: I am not allowed to pluck it, wax it, or remove it in any way. I try to pluck it, but its really hard because there's so many hairs, and also my mom hates it when I do. But recently she kind of gave up, because I still pluck it anyways.
I want to convince my mom to let me go to a salon and get it professionallly waxed. She will most definetly not be happy upon hearing this, but I just want to remove the unibrow, and get some touchups on my eyebrows. She thinks they will do it really thin, "just like those cashier ladies with drawn on eyebrows". It just makes me really mad. I was over at my friends house once, and she gets her eyebrows waxed, and they were starting to grow back a little, and her mom was like "OMG your eyebrows look horrible we need to get them fixed ASAP". I wish my mom was like that. I actually got my unibrow from her, and she doesn't do anything about hers... and well it looks really bad.
She says waxed eyebrows aren't natural, but unibrows arent either!!
How do I get her to let me? Any good arguments?

tell her that you don't feel comfortable and that it makes you unhappy. surely any mother would not want to see her child unhappy. i get my eyebrows waxed and it's not too expensive and they don't make them super thin, unless you ask them too. You can tell them the areas that you need to wax and exactly how you want them to look, thickness, length, etc. The only bad part is you have to keep on going back to get it done, but you'd have to do that with plucking too. they do your eyebrows based on what you tell them, make a deal with your mom and say she should come into the salon with you, and tell the woman/ or man how thin or thick she wants your eyebrows, just minus the unibrow.

You should start off telling her that it really is bothering you and you dont feel comfortible. You should also tell her that they wouldnt be "like the cashire ladies" that are really thin lol.

Hey, well I go to Elizabeth Grady to get my eyebrows done. Yes, they are a little expensive, but they do an awesoem job and listen to exactly what you want. They even let you bring your mom in with you. Make a deal with your mom. Tell her that she can come in and control what they do to your eyebrows, as long as there isnt a unibrow there anymore.

so basicalllyyyy im an expert on eyebrows.
what you say when you go to get them waxed is i want to remove the middle, and the stray hairs (they should know what that means... like the hairs under your eyebrows).
if you send me a pic of you ill tell you EXACTLY how to do them and how they wouold best match your face. eyebrows DEFINE your face, they are like so important =]
i do mine myself, so i could teach you how to do yours yourself without making them get cashregister thin haha and without messing up

When you go, you can tell the salonists how to do your eyebrows. Promise her that you'll make sure they only take hair from in between, no touching the width of the eyebrows. (If you really want, tell her that you'll make sure they don't touch the top of the eyebrow--that's what makes them look super unnatural. but that won't be nearly as convincing) Tell her that you'll only get it done once in a while... you can pluck them every other day after you get it done to keep it looking like it did right after they were waxed. If she knows that you won't keep going back, then she might be more comfortable.

okay well maybe you should do some research on waxing your eyebrows, show your mom this and maybe then she will see that waxing isn't that bad. i suggest you set up a pros & cons list about waxing your eyebrows, if she still says no to waxing, there are other things you can do to get rid of your unibrow, she might say no to this too, but how about threading? look it up on google, and just show your mom all of the options.
or you can just talk to her and tell her how you feel, you really want to get it waxed because you don't like your unibrow, maybe you two will come to an agreement.

they don't make them pencil thin.
just tell them you want a natural look.
and tell your mom the same thing.
or go with your friend (bring your mom with) to watch and then let her see what they do.
