advicegirl367 answered Sunday June 10 2007, 4:03 pm: I live in New York and go to broadway shows all the time. If it's an afternoon show, just wear something casual. It doesn't matter. If it's an evening show, I'd wear maybe a dark skirt with a nice blouse, or a plain dark dress. Nothing sparkly or showy at all.
Hope you have fun! [ advicegirl367's advice column | Ask advicegirl367 A Question ]
Alli answered Sunday June 10 2007, 2:32 pm: To a broadway show you should get a little dressed up. Maybe you could wear a dress something dressy but plain. You don't have to go all out it is just a show but try to find something nice to wear. Best of luck.

For broadway just wear a nice shirt and nice pants. Or a dress thats not to fancy. Broadway honestly isnt to fancy so just dress casual=] [ talkalotxx's advice column | Ask talkalotxx A Question ]
sugarplum07 answered Saturday June 9 2007, 7:25 pm: People that go to broadway shows can be dressed in something as fancy as an evening gown to something as casual as dress pants and a blouse. Really it's up to you. When I went, I just wore a skirt, nice shoes, and a matching shirt.
Follow these rules and you'll be just fine:
1. Flip-Flops are NOT dressy. Take the time to wear dressy shoes.
2. Mini skirts are inappropriate, so don't wear one. If you are going to wear a skirt or dress, make sure it at least reaches your knees.
3. Don't wear anything jean. Period.
4. If it has any type of logo on it, even one of those little birds, it is NOT dress clothing.
Razhie answered Saturday June 9 2007, 7:24 pm: If you look like a tourist, you'll be the majority on broadway dear. It aint really a hang out for a locals, that is were the tourists go!
Wear a nice pair of black slacks, or a simple skirt. If you go to church, think that kind of dressing, or the way you may dress for a job interview. No jeans, but no ballgowns either. I would avoid really light skirts or dresses though, and bring a sweater. Theatres often get cold. [ Razhie's advice column | Ask Razhie A Question ]
