What is Fluoride?

When I was at Wal-mart I was looking through their dental care and hygiene section and noticed a lot of toothpastes (Colgate, Arm and Hammer, Aquafresh, Crest, etc.) have something called fluoride in them. Can you tell me what fluoride is and what it does for us? Why do we need it in toothpaste?

remember that old online childrens game zambeenies?!
i'm not sure if thats the exact name,but it deffinatly begins with a Z.
They were these blue blog things, and in the beggining of the game, they came to an island on a ship. you got to pick like 15 or 20, and then go on adventures. the adventures would be things like puzzles, for example they had one where you have to make a pizza with special ingediants.

i think i want my major in college to be something with writing. i would love to be an opinion columnist or journalist but what classes would i take and how i could prepare for this. also, if i decided to go into being an author.. what would i do as far as college goes? i know about taking classes for journalism.. but would i just take classes for creative writing? thanks.

Ok, so I need 300 dollars. I don't need the money RIGHT NOW but I would prefer to have it by the end of the summer? I do not have a paypal account and I'm too young to get a job. hole in my baby's tear duct

My 7 month old son was born healthy an on time, but as his tear ducts started to form (I think around 3 weeks) on one of his eyes the duct opened up on the outside. So now he has a little tiny hole in the corner of his eye. What I am wondering is if ther are any other mom's out there that have had this type of thing happen and if so, what needed to be done to fix it. He is continuously having tears and sleep yucky stuff coming out it. Please let me know any advise.

so, i recently got a puppy who i absolutly LOVE! she's my first dog, she's a german shepherd mix and she's so hyperactive! we've got a problem though. we also have a cat, she's the complete opposite of my dog. she's calm, lazy, and almost always grumpy. she's always staring at the dog, and if i get them close to eachother she starts to hiss and the dog gets scared. there's been several times when she's attacked the poor puppy. i'm scared the cat might really hurt the puppy one day. i love them both and hate having to put them in different rooms just so they won't kill eachother. my cat's around 7 or 8yrs and the dog is 4 months i believe. help? i've gotten scratched up pretty bad by the cat whenever i break up the fight. she's just so stubborn..

Okay well I am 16 and I'm still a virgin. But I do masturbate. Anyways, about three months ago I had my period. And then it skipped a month. But I heard that every two years it skips a month, and that was my two year. So I had it again last month. And I'm suppose to get this month. And I usually get them on the last week of the month. i've tried putting in a tampon and asked multiple times on here for help. i just can't do it, but i love swimming and i absolutely hate pads and i feel like whenever i have my period i cant do anything. so my problems are like when i put it in, it doesnt really go in and im afraid to push it harder cause what if its the wrong hole or what if it gets stuck or something? then it hurts to pull it out, it just scares me alot and i get so nervous. can anyone please help me, in like COMPLETE details, i won't get grossed out i promise i just need all the help i can get cause im having a pool party and im expecting my period =/

So, yesterday I was in the worst pain of my life. I was rushed to the ER in an ambulance. And they told me I had a cyst on my ovary and it had popped. Does this mean I won't be able to have babies?

Losing sleep/depression
