Melbourne Learner Drivers

I have my L plates and i am going to Melbourne in about a week. I haven't driven yet so my dad says it's okay if i drive on the long straight roads. In Sydney, where i live, all L platers can only reach a maximum speed of 80. A few years ago though my cousins said that in Melbourne an L plater can go the same limit as the sign, even if its over 80. Does this still apply?

I'm 16/f, in 11th grade.
He is 17/m and in 12th grade.
This guy and I had known each other since the end of my 9th grade. After like 6 months, we started going out (like mid-10th grade), and then I was having problems so we broke off for a few months. Then we got back together. He was my first actual bf that I cared about and kissed. Relationship Crisis!

Okay, my Boyfriend (18) and I (15) have been dating 11 months today, (12-25-08). WE'VE flat out been through HELL! His ex girlfriend, has egged his house, threatened to kill me, I had to take the psycho to court! Me & him made it through that, and that was definately crazy!
Here lately, we fight, not over huge things, but over small stupid things. When we fight, its over stuff like me buying him something and him simply not giving me the money to do it in the first place. Well, my mother had this chat with his mother, she says he wont even let her buy him anything, which i know is true.

Small pets

I want a small pet. I was thinking of, geril, hamster, ferret, sugar glider, chinchilla... Ferrets I heard can be aggressive, shed too much. Hamsters may not be personable enough for me. Chinchillas and SUgar Gliders Are adorable but I do not know much about them as pets. I want a pet that will sleep and poop in there own cage. A pet I can take out daily and spend some time with him/her. A pet that will be friendly and is legal to have as a pet in canada. Any ideas of which small pet I should get and what store in toronto would sell it? Thanks

What is love?

I was sitting in class today and I overheard my best friend telling the teacher that she loved her (as a teacher, of course). I know there are different kinds of love and different ways of loving someone but...
What is love actually? I mean, I know love is an emotion, right? What does love mean though? People say "I love you" all of the time but I have no idea what love really means now that I think of it. I think I love certain people but then what if my definition of love is wrong and, really, I have a totally different feeling toward those people than I thought?

What is the current minimum wage?

What is the minimum wage in the United States right now? My mom said it was like $6.55 but when I was working a job last year it was $5.85. My best friend says she doesn't know what minimum wage is right now, but heard it was going to be $7.25 soon but doesn't know exactly when that will happen.
I'm curious any way it is. What is the minimum wage right now and when is minimum wage going to go up in the United States? When the minimum wage does go up what will it be then?

So, my mom is pregnant with another baby and she has asked my sister and I to supply a few good baby names. Well, my sister is pretty young so she can only give names from her classroom and it isn't much help.
My mom likes all sorts of baby names. She likes unique baby names. She likes the popular baby names. She likes traditional baby names. She is looking for girl baby names AND boy baby names though since we don't know what the baby is yet.
I looked up popular baby names of 2008 and the most unique baby names of 2008, but none of them seemed to really pop out at me as GOOD baby names for my brother-to-be or sister-to-be. I know there are books you can get that are full of neat baby names but what are t...

What are some really good New Year's Resolutions? I know that a lot of people want to lose weight (and weight loss is good) but I want something different. I want some sort of New Year's resolution that can better my life or my body.
I want to find something I haven't done or thought of before for a good New Year's resolution. I know that on New Year's it's common to make New Year's Resolutions--I even saw this thing on associatedcontent.com about Miley Cyrus and New Years Resolutions. I want to start a tradition for myself of making New Year's resolutions on each new year.

My mom is in her early 80‘s, I am in my early 50‘s. I have no idea how to handle her any more.
Ok this is going to sound weird but here goes. Here is the background: I go to the 99 cent store and I have purchased beautiful sweaters, blouses, pants, blazers. All top quality - Liz Claiborne , Ralph Lauren, New York & Co, to name a few, plus unknowns but in top quality. I don't buy the crap. The cashiers and customers all tell me I get the great quality stuff. My friends and relatives ask me if I purchased them at Lord & Taylor's or other expensive stores. I have a serious cutting problem. I just got out of rehab for depression and suicide attempts. I was there for 3 months. My cutting habit started in rehab. During day treatment, I began scratching myself with plastic tweezers during Art. I cut when I feel anxious, I cut when I think about my ex. The only girl I ever dated, 5 month relationship. She abused me and was obsessed (clinically, extreme OCD). She hurt me and took control of my life, but some how i still love her and think about her and want to be with her. We aren't allowed to talk, but we have seen each other a few times and I just break down. She still loves me. And more than anything I would love to be back with her.
