How do I take pictures where the subject is in focus and the background is a bit blurry? I know all about aperture and shutter speed, but I don't have an SLR, and my "manual" setting really only lets me adjust the shutter speed. I can use the macro setting to take close-ups where only the foreground is in focus, but that doesn't help when it comes to pictures of larger objects. Any ideas?

i never ever had a boyfriend before, i just welcome some suitors and that's it. But when this guy came along, i thought of giving him a chance and finally, we're dating. But the worst thing had happened, we broke up after 4 months and he admitted to me straight up that he had a fling with someone else. he had a lot of exes and one of our friends told me that he can easily change his present girl to a new girl in just 2 weeks or less... before i met him, i was told that he's really a playboy but when we're together, he changed BIG TIME! i felt it. but how come he had still the guts to cheat on me? He told me, that i was the only one who really changed him and that he felt true love.. but how come it was that easy for him to give me up??

Chemistry Situation. Easy Formulas?

I need urgent help.
16 - female - Britain (this is important because ideally, I'd like someone doing A level chemistry - or having done it - to help me, probably with a british exam board because I can relate to that easier - I'm on OCR?)
A week ago today I took up a sixth A level - Chemistry. I have to fit the year's AS course into a 10 week time period before the exam and still get an A. I'm happy with the workload but OCR's books, Chemical Storylines and Chemical Ideas are hard to follow, I find.
My first lesson was a kind of practical exam - a titration with an exam booklet after, like an ISA but not. My teacher quickly went over a quick chemical formula he knew I would need which is:

So I've got a crush on a girl who lives in a different town but I'm moving there soon. She likes me back, but about 50% chance we can get something to work.
The second girl I just met and we have very similar personalities. Chances of making something work with her are about 95% (but I'm moving soon :(.
I just can't decide who I like, and I end up thinking about both of them all the time now which makes me feel so confused. Should I try something with 95% girl and hurt my crush's feelings? What if my crush and I never work anything out between us, I'll regret not trying something with 95% girl for the rest of my life. Help!

I've got two girls after me and I need help deciding. For reference, I'm moving in 4 months which complicates things.
Girl #1, lives in current town. Has very similar personality, but not a similar lifestyle (not a partier and don't have too many activities in common). Easy to talk to and could be "the one." Somewhat dating her now.
Girl #2, lives in town I move to in 4 months, someone I have fun with, she's super gorgeous though so not sure if I have a longterm chance (although she likes me now). Has very similar lifestyle, but different personalities. I've also had a crush on this girl for like 4 months.

ok i had my period last week and it ended over the weekend but i have discharge thats still kind of dark. Well yesterday i had sex twice in the shower and now i have to pee every hour and when i go its just a little bit and it kind of hurts. not really painfull but just an annoying feeling.
what is this?

i'm the girl who asked the question about the cat but i guess i didn't explain it right because no one answered it right. my mom already knows about the cat. he lives outside, and my mom is okay with that, she just won't let me bring him in. i want to sneak him in through my window at night and let him sleep in my room since it's so cold at night. maybe that explains it better.

Is the recent economic recession causing anyone high stress?

In more recent times, the business that I have been working for has been firing employees every day, because sales and new contracts have been low and they can't afford to keep them around.
Unfortunately, because they don't want their unemployment payments to go up, they've been firing people over the smallest of reasons.
Now they're going after my job, for NO reason. I have no written warnings, never had any workplace performance problems, and up until now was actually rewarded for my skill at what I do.
So... I'm in trouble. I might be getting fired, for reasons that are complete lies.
What should I do? And after I'm fired, then what should I do next?
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

How do I know if I've lost my mucous plug??

I went to the Dr. recently and she told me I am 1.5 cm dilated and that she was able to feel the baby's head. I read online about losing the mucous plug, and some sites say that you can be dilated and still have not lost your mucous plug.
So I'm just curious as to how I would know if I have already lost it or if its possible that I haven't lost it yet.
I was kind of thinking that if she was able to feel the baby's head then i probably lost it. but what do I know..this is my first child so bear with the stupid questions.. hehe.

my ex and i were dating for four months and he hinted at wanting to break up so i did it for him then a month went by and he had hooked up with another person and i started dating a new guy.. but the called me and we talked and he told me that he loved me.. which on his part is HUGE.
so we waited awhile and i broke up with the guy i had been dating.
when my ex and i started dating he told me how much he loved me and never wanted to loose me and that i made him so happy.

I have been dating my boyfriend for 6 years, however after our 3rd year we kinda aparted because he was talking to another girl but inspite of it i gave us a chance and have been trying to work with him, our relation have been inconsistent since then we don't talk for months and then we talk again and end up fighting because he suspects me of dating other guys when we don't talk. He refuses to hear or consider anything I have to say against his allegation on me, he is on denial.I have very strong feelings with this person and I don't know how else to fight for us or on is it even worth it based on history of its existence? .Any advice/input would be appreciated!

okay so usually i can qo to sleep HAVING to pee like crazy and i can hold it throuqh out thee whole niqht. soo basicly what im tryinq to qet at is , i have qood bladder control.
well the other day me and my friend were at this qym place and we were runninq around havinq a qood time with all our friends.
butt me and her had split off and went and chilled because i was a little tired.
while we were sittinq i noticed i was peeinq my self a little and i couldnt feel it , nor could i stop it.
do you have any idea what that was?
