I’m 14/f and no one have ever asked me out on a date. I am not ugly in fact I recently learned that the boys from my old school which I left 1 ½ years ago thought I was the prettiest girl in the class. I am extremely shy and I really can’t flirt. Also usually even if I like someone I am very cold to them for a long time, it’s like a protective action. But now I just feel so lonely!

what should i do? the boy that i go with use to go with my best friend a long time ago and wen we started goig out she said that she didn't like him anymore. but when they went out he didn't really like her and he cheated on her with her cousin. so after two months they broke up.
now that we have been goin togather for 5 months she has some stuff to say like that he cheatin on me and that he's just usin me for sex but i don't think that, that's true because he alwasy with me and all this other stuff that we do togather. should i break up with him so i wont lost my best friend but lose the one boy i love or should just tell him that i don't beliave her and stay with him?

Hey! let me start off by saying that i love your column and that you give great advice!! now, here's my problem..i've had this HUGE crush (i dont even like calling it a crush, i think i love him..but no one thinks it's possible so whatever..)anyway, ive had this huge crush on a guy fro about 8 years (i've known him all my life) but we're not really tight friends. okey, i didn't know what category to put this in so i just chose love life. Anyway I was wondering about all the sweet nicknames.. I mean everytime a guy calls me babe or darling i die inside..seriously just a name can make me fall. But what can we call guys? Is there anything we can say to make them shiver? can we call them babe? Is there any laid back names? (like you know if we're just talking on msn and he says : hey, babe - what's up? Can we say something like that, even if we're not dating? cuz guys can use babe howvever..do we have anything like that? Something that will make them all nervous and stuff or just happy. I started dating this guy when I was fifteen who was eighteen. He and I were together for a year and two months....partially because I ran away with him for five of them. Well, this last December I had his child and my mom and I won't let him have any part of it. But since he was eighteen, I just want to make sure that in two years when I'm eighteen he can't try to fight for custody. Would he have any rights over my son?

ok when i was 13 i dated my boyfriend nows best friend... i am now 16... he was my first love... i was in love with nathan (my boyfriend nows best friend) for almost 4 years....i have just recently got over him... i got over him when i was 15... i am now 16... paul(my boyfriend now) doesnt understand how much work it took to get over nathan... now paul still talks to nathan.. but i need nathan out of my life and paul is bringing him back into it... i dont know what to do to keep paul but also keep nathan out of my life... i dont want to tell him to chose cuz thats not right.... please help!!!!!!

ok theres this girl and I like her but i want to stop. see theres this guy and hes a big sweet talker guy, the guy that everyone loves no matter what. well i've liked this girl for a long time and I told her i liked her and she said she liked me to and then the sweet talker comes along and i get so pissed cause he cant stick to one girl. well it just breaks my heart whenever she ditches me for him and the girl and i are good friends and well i know i cant get over her by forcing myself and i dont know how to tell her this. can you help?

i have been broken up with my boyfriend since september and we have both pretty much moved on .. i feel like im not ready to start another serious relationship.. i have always liked this kid matt & he is perfect for me but i dont think he knows how i feel .. but there is this kid dave that has always liked me and he treats me like a goddess but for some reason i cant ever like him enough to go out with him... what should i do? be single and go with the flow.. or try to committ to dave?

theres this guy that i like and last year he wrote "i <3 u" in my yearbook and talked about how he was sad that he doesn't have a gf and i was like "okkkk is he gunna ask me" but i think he got scared, and didn't.. i didn't really respond to the i love u so now i'm worried that he thinks i don't like him. we're in different groups of friends and so its hard to talk to him. also, his best friend always hits on me and like grabs my ass (he has a gf!!!) so its kinda like a love triangle but not..... so i just need some help with this...

see i really like two guys...one was my ex boyfriend but i never stopped liking me and he likes me. Then theres another guy who i went on a date w/ but it never went farther but i like him a lot and he told me cared about me. He proved it to wen he asked about me wen talkin to my sister. i talk to them both about the same and idk which one i like more...And im not for sure about the one that talked to my sister cuz i keep getting mixed signals...does he like me? what should i do about both of them?
