I was just browsing around on the internet at school, and happened to come across your advice column! Oh yes, by the way this is Violet. Ok, here's my question:
There is this gentleman that I have liked since the beginning of the school year (8th grade). Yes, you probably know who he is- he is definatly a "popular" person. I think he likes me because he runs away from me when I call for him in the hallway. I believe it's his way of, I guess you could call it "flirting". His name begins with a J and his last name begins with an F. I was wondering if you could possibly talk to him about "going steady". I would enjoy dating him. If you do this favor for me- I'll just want to give you a great big hug! Thank you very much.

I have a VERY personal question that i find embarrassing to ask friends. When a girl is giving you head, are you supposed to tell her when you're going to ( you know ) To me this is what you should do, but is it normal to do that. How do girls feel about this?

Playing hard to get

I recently got back together with my ex boyfriend after being broken up for 2 months. I have a naturally clingy personality and I think that might have been something that caused problems in the past. It's not that I'm psychotic by any means, I just like a lot of attention. I don't want to screw this up again... so should I simply ignore my clingy disposition and play hard to get sometimes, even though I already have him back? If so, how should I go about playing hard to get, and how often? I think games in general are stupid but if this will help keep everything romantic and healthy I'm all for it.

ok so theres this guy that sits behind me in all my classes and he always pulls my hair, and i was wearing a thong and he noticed it.. and kept pulling up my shirt, he hit my butt one day. and it seems like hes always flirting with me. i asked his friend who sits next to him why he always does that, he said " i think he might like you" i dont know if its true, hes cool and all , but he went through alot, his brother just died in september, and i donth think he could handle it, plus my bffl likes him too and they went out but he never liked her, he felt bad for her. im so confused

So, I've liked this guy for like a year...and my friend Ashley started liking him and no one seemed to care anymore that I liked him...it was all about her.
Last night when I found out that he was going to ask her out, I started crying...then he came over and asked me what was wrong...I kind of blew up at him and told him that I liked him, then walked away.
After that my other friends who were hanging out with us there told me that the guy kind of disappeared and I don't know if he askeed her out or not...
I don't want to face anyone in school on monday. If he didn't ask her out, and it was somehow my fault, Ashley might not speak to me anymore, and if he doesn't like ...

Theres this guy and i really like him but i dont know if he likes me a couple of months ago we made out and hooked up like a month later it happend again.. he was a major player but for some reason i think he actually likes me now hes got a girlfriend and she is sorta my friend he purposely kisses her in front of me and touches her and all that stuff. I dont know if he likes her or not but hes been going out with her for like 4 weeks and he hasnt cheated on her yet and thats not usual with him.What should i do?

In the last week or so, my one guy friend started flirting with me. And on Friday he sat with me and my friend at lunch. He sat by me and kept flirting by me, but I wasn't really thinking of it as flirting cause I didn't think he liked me. Turns out that night when we were IMing each other I said something like who do you think I should go out with and he said me. And i was just like...? And he was like you know I'm serious didn't you notice me flirting with you at lunch today. Then he asked me out and I said yes. (sorry this is really long)
Yesterday I went to Cedar Point with one of my really good friends for her birthday. She introduced me to one of her guy friends, let's call him Fred. So at Cedar Point there was Me, my good friend named Emily, Fred, TK and two other people. Well..Emily said that Fred told her that he really likes me. There may have been some signs..but I'm not sure like exactly how guys flirt. So..Since it was Halloweekends at Cedar Point we went through lots of haunted houses. a.)Fred always let me hold on to his arm and he held onto mine when we went through them.
b.) As humiliating as it may seem, I tried running from this freaky guy and I tripped and fell (lmao) and people started laughing....

okay, so im currently in a long distance relationship and i think the guy is getting bored with the whole e-mailing/calling thing. do you think it would make things better if i take 2 months to answer his latest e-mail..so he can start missing me more, and then write him a really cute e-mail? Or should i just keep writing every week? and if i do, how can i spice things up, is there any rules for what you should/shouldn't do when writing an e.mail?

There's this guy that i have known for a pretty long time. He's three years older than me and he keeps dropping hints that he likes me but i just don't feel the same way. He was walking outside school and i was inside and he kept staring at me through the window and wouldn't stop. Then he just acted wicked shy around me. ok so here i go when i saw this boy at school for the first time i thought i really liked him lets call him james and then i met another boy in school called jake and he told me he likes me loads and he always tells me he loves me so much.he follows me around in school. I was talking to my friend the other day. He was talking about how he was in a band in highschool. I asked him what year he graduated and it turned out to be the same year I was born. I started to laugh and when I told him his face went beet red and he couldnt look me in the eye.
I thought that because we are just friends that this was a strange reaction.
Do you think that maybe he has feelings for me as more than a friend? That would explain why he was embarressed.

Well my boyfriend and I have been going out for like 4 weeks. And started off as friends and then we became bf and gf. He goes to a different school then i do..I use to go that school but i left like 2 years ago..I am still really good friends with everybody there and sometimes we go to the movies alot..But lately we havent been doing anything...And me and my bf are really close and talk all the time but dont get to see eachother. And we are both 14 soo its like nothing serious...Well here the problem i want to go my school last home football game and i want my bf to go with me. But he doesnt know anyone at the school i go to. soo i dont think he would go. And all my friends want to me him and everything. Well also my bf wants go to a movie...

ok well there's this guy...and i think i might like him! well... i used to really hate him, but i barely knew him...and now that i know him really well, we're really good friends- and hes so cute! he has a girlfriend who is in high school now (we are 8th graders) but he flirts with me a lot, he pretends to ask me out in a kidding way and he like tells me i'm hot, he actually flirts with a lot of girls though, especially one of my best friends, but i totally like him! another thing is that he used to go out with another one of my friends, who i am kind of making up. she really hates him now, though,and this is just so weird.
