Vibrams Five Fingers shoes - opinions? Posted Wednesday March 14 2012, 6:30 pm
Hi, 24/f.
Okay, everyone. I need the truth about Vibrams Five Fingers. Do you have them? Do they rock? Are they stupid/worthless?
I've been having issues with muscle spasms lately, and running shittily. I'm currently running in Asics about every other day, since August 2011, and have not yet been able to run more than 2 miles at a time before my body burns out in some way - My legs start getting tired, I'm dehydrated, one of my calves is randomly in spasm... My theory is that I'm working too hard for the shoes I'm in, and that I'm resisting all the cushioning, trying to run forward on my feet, and am not able to support that kind of running form in these shoes. SO.
I realize Asics to Vibrams is kind of a huge jump as...

hello, so i'm looking for excersise ideas that will help me loose weight.
The only trouble is, months ago i was in an accident, and my injuries (right shoulder, knees and hips) prevent me from doing thinks like biking running standing for long periods of time, stairs or lifting weights.
Ive gained at least 15 pounds since my accident, and i would really like to somehow get back in shape. Ive always been the type where i needed both heathy eating and movement to shead the pounds.
Any ideas on physical activity that would be low impact yet get my heart rate going? I was thinking swiming, but thats all ive come up with so far!
Any ideas welcomed!

So, i'm going to try and get fit for the summer. I don't really want to lose a lot of weight but i need some exercises/ workouts to help me without having to go to the gym and withought having to use weights. My main focus is my stomach area and love handle area. Also, does anyone know some healthy snacks i can eat throughout the day? Any advice would be appriciated.

Recently got engaged. I'm the biggest I've ever been, and now I've came to conclusion that I want to lose weight. I have the motivation and deterimation to do it! I'm 19 years old,
and my doctor has me on a weight loss pill called Phenotomine; it curves appetite.
I have a membership to the YMCA; and I was wondering,
would doing Zumba Tuesdays&Thursdays && water aerobics Monday's & Fridays--with relaxtion with swimming, hot tub, and a sona- on Wednesday be a good plan to go with to lose weight? I don't want to do hardcore work outs because my fat will turn into muscle and I won't see any results except toner.
I'm not going to eat past 7, and as my body gets use to it...

im 17 and a girl and i have stretch marks! Ive never been pregnant or anything and im not fat, a little on the larger side but still. First why do i have stretch marks? There not just on my stomach but also on my lower back hips and top of my breast! Also how can i get rid of them. Preferably something i can buy thats cheap and at like a local drug store. HELP?!

I'm 22 M and 250lbs. My skinniest weight (while I was working out) was 198lbs in June 2010. I feel, look and am fat. Problem is I have little to no idea what I was doing when I lost all that weight. What I'm looking for is a workout regime that I can stick with, one that works and works well. People with a first hand account on these regimes will be given highest priority but all advice will be looked at and rated as to how helpful it is.

Is it okay to soak in a hot bath with bath salt? I heard that it can help you lose weight?
I'm wanting to lose weight, but I also wanna try new things that can help out too.
What kind of salt would I use??
How many times a week would I use it?
what is master cleansers?
where can I purchase both salt and cleansers?
any other remedies for losing weight that I could do around the house?
I have the Wii fitness plus, and I'm not eating after 7. I don't drink cokes, just water and gaterade.

So a little backround info first...When I was 4 I joined gymnastics and loved it SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much, and I still do, but when I turned 9, I decided to quit because I forgot how to trust my body to do things and was too scared to learn new things. Specificaly the back walkover on the beam. I thought for sure my hands would miss the bean and I would crack my head open! So I quit.:( There have been many nights since then that I cry myself to sleep about quitting it. I helped keep my grades up, kept my focused. I went there 24 hrs a week! I got pretty attached. After I quit I joined soccer and that hepled me focus a little too. But now I do ballet and horse back riding each once a week and my grades are horrid and I can't focus on anything to...

I have never really been "fat" but I am not skinny. I am 5'2 and 105 lbs. I have been anorexic and got put in the hospital, but call me crazy but we live in a world where looks get you farther than anything. I run and eat healthy, but i hope some of you can give me some healthy dieting advice that won't get me put in the hospital or make me sick....

I'm an eighteen year old female. I was just at the Neurologist (ADHD) and they need me to be working out 30 minutes everyday. I have not been doing that. I used to swim competitively year round but I developed a hip injury and haven't been back for 4 years.
I have very low self-esteem when it comes to working out. I used to be bullied for my weight. I am 160 lbs and 5'8. Another reason to be working out. Anyways, all of my friends from high school (I'm a senior) work at our local YMCA. So I can't go there, even though it has a pool and fully equipped workout room. I would take some sort of dance Zumba class, but I have no one to take it with me (my dad is annoying and my mom is sooo over weight & all my friends are crazy busy). ...

I would like a cardio workout DVD that will allow me to burn at least 300 calories a workout, preferably in 30-45 min. It CAN'T have any accessories (like weights and stuff) and I would like to spend no more than $25. I also need to be able to buy it online.
