the last name is your choice not his. if i was you i would stick with your last name because young guys have tendicies of leaving. if u guys do stay together and get married etc. then u can change the last name to his.

jeez, 15... why? a baby? now? i think i would be concerned about this situation than a name. well, it's not my place to say but if you really want, you should decide together, not just on the name but on the future too. I hope you understand the hardships and obsticles of what is going to happen. i pray that you will make the right decision in the future

wow it must be tough haveing a baby at 15. We'll...I think you guys should make the descion together. I mean if he wasn't there for you then the baby should have your last name but since it seems like he is there for you then you guys should make it together.

When it comes to a baby you have the majority of all choices. Your say rules over his. So its your choice. I had a dream where i had twins and there names where Kaleb Kaiden ***** (<<my last name) and Then Haiden Kristopher **** (<my bf's last name)

so its your choice. Good luck!!

It's really your choice! Usually, if you and the baby's father are together then u give the baby his last name, but if he's not in the baby's life then you can give it your last name. But Ultimatly, it's your baby and you name it whatever you are most comfortable with.

It should be your choice. If you want the fathers last name, then let it be his. But if you want your last name, then you can let the baby have your last name. Don`t let the doctors tell you otherwise, they tend to change baby names ALOT.

Teza answered Sunday February 12 2006, 10:22 pm:
You don't have to pick the fathers last name if you don't want to. If the father is going to be in yours and the babys' life then the baby should have his last name but since you guys aren't married or anything (I'm guessing you're not?) the baby should have your last name but the choice is all yours.

You can give the baby its fathers name if you want to. I think its the right way to do it myself. But, you can also just give it yours.

A lot depends on your relationship with the baby's father. If he will play an active role in raising the baby then by all means give it his last name. Should you decide to marry him in the future, it will save a lot of adoption type headaches.

If he wants nothing to do with it. Give it your last name.

Choice is all yours. :)
