Hi. I'm a 16 year old girl and I have a huge problem. I often times wonder about God. I'm sure that I believe in him but at times I have doubts...is that normal? And also, is it true that God has a plan for everyone and some people are bound to go to hell?
babigirl500 answered Sunday August 21 2005, 4:14 pm: First question :are you saved? if not that might be the problem
It is true god has a plan for everyone but some people dont choose to follow his plan. His plan is for everyone to go to heaven and with that he planned a strong christian life for them. Unfornatly some people dont follow gods plan. If you have doubts sometimes read the bible and pray to him about it and say i sometime have doubts help me know you are there.
Nadia answered Friday August 19 2005, 4:52 am: i have been told that it's absolutley normal to have doubts. in the end it will bring you closer to God, not further away.
if you feel you are having doubts then pray about it. in the end God is the most powerful and sometimes the only one who can help you.
God's plans NEVER include going to hell. He does not want any of His children going to that horrible place. all believers, aslong as they truly believe and ask for forgivness will always go to heaven with their Father. [ Nadia's advice column | Ask Nadia A Question ]

brunettecutie answered Thursday August 18 2005, 4:11 am: well, its totally normal to think about God. but if you love him you love him. and God does have a plan for everyone. people that are good go to heaven, people who did all the wrong things and broke like all the commandmets more then once or something then they are probally going to hell. then there is this place called "pergitory" thats where the undicided people go. God does not know where to put them there so they wait there until he does.

rikatree2375 answered Wednesday August 17 2005, 11:01 pm: I'm 15/f and sometimes i get mad at God and wish he didn't exist. But he does. Have you ever heard of predestination??? It's where God knows who will go to heaven and who will go to hell. He 'foreordains' it meaning he's planned it. God wants nobody to go to hell but many reject him and his mercy. God does have a plan for everybody whether Christian or non-Christian. And yes, people are going to go to hell if they don't accept him as their Lord and Savior. But Christianity is faith. Faith means believing in the unknown so yes, it's definitely hard to believe in Him through certain circumstances. But He's still there always beside you. Don't give up because God knows what He's doing in your life and you just gotta believe in Him. His wrath will be taken out on sinners but as Christians we dont' have to worry because our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life, as in we are God's children for good now. God is love and fair. So don't worry but God does exist. Look around at the world and really ask how anything could exist without a superior Creator in charge. Hope i helped!!!

You cant get into heaven by works alone...you must be a child of God.
mylordwon answered Wednesday August 17 2005, 9:45 pm: Funnycide laid it out very well. I will just add that the God of the Bible has a plan for everyone, but because satan (the enemy of God) doesn't want anyone to call out to God and accept His Son Jesus as their Savior, satan casts doubt and tries to confuse people. We are all in the middle of a spiritual battle that rages around us constantly. We can't see it, but it's there. It's obvious from your question that you are experiencing this battle personally.
Seek God by reading the Bible and asking for understanding. There is a plan for your life. Don't choose to be one of the many going to hell because you believed satan's lies. Seek truth. 'k? [ mylordwon's advice column | Ask mylordwon A Question ]
devilspawn_666 answered Tuesday August 16 2005, 7:04 pm: Everyone has doubts about faith at some point or another. That's completely normal. As for your questions about God and Hell, I'm afraid that only you can interpret the answers to those questions. No one else can tell you what to believe when it comes to God and religion. I've been an atheist for 8 of my 16 years, so I doubt you'd even be interested in my opinon. [ devilspawn_666's advice column | Ask devilspawn_666 A Question ]
IndieKidsCanRock answered Tuesday August 16 2005, 5:42 pm: ♥It's perfectly normal. You would be considered "agnostic". Being agnostic means you aren't completley athiest (meaning you don't believe in God) but you don't completley believe in him either. Basicaly, you're unsure about your faith in God. The second part, I can't answer because i'm athiest, but I think that if you believe God has a plan for you, your life will be lived based on your faith. FunnyCide answered Tuesday August 16 2005, 5:02 pm: I'm not going to 'preach' at you, but - just so you know where I stand - I'm a Christian, born into the family of God.
I believe with every corner of my heart that God has a plan for EVERY PERSON ON THE FACE OF THIS EARTH. You see, God gave us the GIFT of free will. We can CHOOSE to worship God and become one of His children, or we can CHOOSE to ignore God and never accept His free gift of eternal life. You know what you have to do to recieve that gift? All you have to do is ask. As humans, we're typically good at ASKING for things. We'll ask our parents for twenty bucks, or if we can have the car, or if we can go to the movies. We'll ask our sisters to be quiet, though they don't usually respond. We ask our peers, "What is cool or good right now?" We ask our grandmother for a cookie and milk or our grandfathers for a trip to Dairy Queen. We, as humans, specifically teenagers or kids, ask for alot of things. But, sadly, we are not always granted our wishes. Sometimes it's for our own good. Grandma might say we can't have a cookie because we're about to have supper, or our parents might say we can't go to the movies because there isn't a proper chaperone. Why our sisters won't be quiet is beyond me though. But you know what? God won't turn your request for salvation down! Yes, He might say that He's not going to let you get out of that killer math test because you didn't study, but He will let you - GLADLY - into His family, as one of His children. There are those, of course, who scoff at the idea of a God, and will turn their backs on Him. They never talk to Him, they never listen to Him. They don't ask about Him, and they never accept His gift. These are the people who follow the Devil. They might not say "I'm a Satanist," but if they're an Atheist, Islamic, or Buddhist ... or Wiccian, or Satanist, or a self-proclaimed witch, then they're (sometimes without knowing it) following Satan. I know that I can get in alot of trouble with alot of people for saying this, but that is what I believe. Catholics, Protestants, and a few others are honest to God (and I mean that) religions that follow the one true Abba Father. I honestly believe this with all of my heart. Don't be one of those people who ignores God all their lives. I don't want to seem harsh or uncaring, obviously I'm not - that's why I'm telling it to you straight up. I believe that people who go to Hell, after going through Judgement (Christ as judge) will burn for eternity. There will be worms that EAT the burnt FLESH off of your body, but you'll never die. Constantly, constantly burning. You'll call out for just ONE drop of water on the tip of your tounge, but no one can give it to you because there is no water in Hell, and there will be a great chasm between Heaven and Hell that no one can cross.
Please consider what I've said. If you have any questions, ask me, or talk to your local youth pastor.
kaylasays answered Tuesday August 16 2005, 4:17 pm: Hey,
Thats totally normal. Atleast for me it is. I mean my family believes in god. we're catholic. so yeah...but i mean how does anyone KNOW he's real. With all those crazy religions out there...i have no idea what to believe. I dont think any one is 100% sure that god does have a plan for everybody.

and in my opinion i dont think there is a hell i believe that every one goes to heaven but thats just my opinion
Azngangsta answered Tuesday August 16 2005, 3:53 pm: Yeah it's normal. A lot of people go through things which causes them to have doubts about the existance of
God. And when they say that God has a plan for everyone... Well I'm not sure, because that's just like saying that you are destined to go to Hell. I would like to think of it more like this:
God knows everything. He knows every move you'll make in your lifetime, so if you make certain bad moves, you will be punished and go to Hell.
Hope I answered your question. [ Azngangsta's advice column | Ask Azngangsta A Question ]
HectorJr answered Tuesday August 16 2005, 3:50 pm: Perfectly normal to have doubts, everyone does. I'm not sure what you mean by 'bound to go to hell'. If by that you mean Predestination [theory proposed by John Calvin, founder of Calvinism]: where before you are born, your fate is decided, you will go to heaven or hell, no matter what you do; then I'm not to sure about that. Hell is eternal seperation from god, so if you do something really really bad, then yeah watch out. I think God has a plan for everything and does things for a reason. Hope that helped. sbloemeke answered Tuesday August 16 2005, 3:48 pm: It is one of the most normal things that can happen to a teenager. I think a poll had 75% of the people answering confessed that they had doubted their religeon at the teenage years. It is because you are becoming independent of your parents at this age (I began at 15), and you start trying to find what you believe instead of what your parents believe. Those are the doubts.
And the second question, nobody can say. I believe it, but there is a specific reason. You have the free will to do what you will. God knows what you are going to do, as he knows everything. That is how he knows how he will judge you. Your path then is to try and live your life the best you can, as that is the path chosen for you. If you don't, then that was the path that was chosen for you. It sounds confusing, I know.

Teza answered Tuesday August 16 2005, 3:42 pm: Yes, I think it is normal. I mean you should ALWAYS depend on God. He means no harm to you. If you do bad things and if you are a bad person you would go to hell. It`s just how it is. God loves each and everyone of us so never have doubts. You can always trust him. Just pray every night && you'll be glad.
Edit-Everyone has a reason when they die. They must of done something wrong to deserve to go in a horrible place like hell. Not everyone is doomed to though. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
