well... most baby sitters on average get about anywhere from $4-6 an hour (or should anyways) so lets say you get $4 an hour... and you baby sit 4 kids for 3 hours.. you should make $48, so anywhere around $45-55 would be best!

well i would say $95 but thats a bit cheap. also take into consideration about how much you will have to do with the kids. just don't accept anything less than $50, thats just unreasonable

Dear Payment,
The rate for babysitters varies for different areas, but I charge $3.50 an hour for 1 child. .50 cents extra for each additional child every additional hour.

MFS answered Thursday October 16 2003, 3:07 pm:
Depends on the rates that others in your area charge, the ages of the kids, and how experienced you are.

For little babies, asking for a bit more is often ok, because changing massively poopy diapers sucks.

Also, don't always think in terms of $$$/hour/kid. Often, flat-rates can be better. And sometimes, the people you are babysitting for will offer you more than you were going to ask.

Not sure how to answer in dollars but I can try to answer in pounds:

Depending on the ages around 5/6 pounds an hour unless you are in a rich area.Sometimes i get paid less, sometimes more. It depends on the ages of the kids, the number of kids, the behaviour of the kids, the time of day, whether you do any chores klike cooking or washing up.

It's really quite flexible.

Depends on how good the kids, the ages, and other things. For example, if you were babysitting a six-month-old and feeding him or her, I would want to be paid more than for babysitting a ten-year-old who basically takes care of him or herself. When I babysit, I usually tell the people to pay me around $2-3 per child per hour. That's for a good kid. If I had trouble with them or they're screaming babies, I charge more. Don't charge $10 per hour per child.

SparklyStar answered Wednesday October 8 2003, 7:35 pm:
I'd say about $30-ish is a reasonable price, that's $10 an hour, if anyone isn't good at math. If this is your first time babysitting for this particular, make sure you specify what you are charging in the beginning. If you have already been babysitting these kids for a while, then it might be a bit awkward asking for a raise now.
