Cover-ups and foundations don't usually cover up bad skin. But instead of covering it up, why not just fix it? The Proactiv system is AMAZING. I don't have acne, no one in my family does, but my sister got it a few years ago because of her allergy medication. She used Proactiv, and it was AMAZING. It's not TOO much, but seriously-- perfect skin is worth the money!

Use a 1/2" curling iron to make loose curls. Part hair on the side and just let it hang! This looks glamourous, natural, and totally flirty. Enjoy!

Do you wear bras with your bat mitzvah dress? What kind? I'll describe my dress...
It's not a gown really. Gowns sort of hold it in for you but mine doesn't. It has spaghetti straps and the body is sort of "scrunched". At the waist starts the skirty part. It's sheer and stops at my calves. The under layer stops at my knees. (not that you needed to know)

My mom makes me wear the dumbest clothes! It's so annoying. She's Chinese, and she grew up in a society you get one pair of pants a year. I'm 13, but the kind of clothes I have to wear are like for a ten-year-old! I hate it! Stuff like pink and white striped T shirts and rose-printed shorts and stuff she thinks that are "cute" and "what kids should wear." I H-A-T-E pastels!

Try a compromise. Take her to some stores that you like, and see if you can find anything that both of you like. Try Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Juicy Couture, Junk Food tees, etc. for girly finds that still have a cool edge to them.

Wear a polo and some cute jeans. Abercrombie&Fitch always looks cute. Try ripped jeans so they stand out and a colored polo and a sparkly pair of flats or sandals. Try going for a simple, pretty hairdo-- long and straight or curled out of face, maybe half-back with a sparkly clip. Show off your summer tan with glowing bronzer and nice big eyes with natural lips-- just chapstick if you have full lips, lip gloss if they're thin or normal. Wear a little jewelry to dress it up, because jeans dress it down.

I have very fine hair. It's about shoulder length and I have lots of layers and bangs (its blonde too by the way) The problem is it's super straight and kinda thin so when I roll it to make it look thicker in the morning it always ends up fallin down and looking icky. haha. what could i do to help my hair hold the curl, who should i get a special hair cut...if so what kind? Try getting layers. If your hair is fine, that'll give it some volume.

I need help finding a back to school outfit (shirt specifically). My style is kind of glam & funky...i like stores like forever 21 & wetseal. I have looked in forever21, and couldn't find a thing i liked. Wet seal is no longer in my mall,so that's not an option. I have been to marshalls, tj maxx, bob's, the gap, express, and found nothing! all of these stores have basically all long sleeve shirts now (i want short sleeve), or are too pricy. i don't really want to spend over 20 bucks on a shirt. where can i go? if it helps i live in simsbury CT...i can travel about 25 min max (my mom works_. please help! Abercrombie&Fitch, Hollister, Junkfood tees are cute, Urban Outfitters, Bloomingdale's, MAcy's sometimes has nice things, Century 21 and Loehmann's have some cute things and great bargains, Juicy Couture is a little pricey but amazingly great.

how do you create smokey eyes? like what is the proper technique/ (link)

Apply soft black eyeliner to your eye normally on the inside. Then put a little around the outside and smear it slightly so it goes all around the bottom. Make a little short line-- TINY!!!-- on the side from the inside. Smear it slightly so that it joins with the bottom. Close the eye and apply a tiny amount to top of the eye and smudge slightly. Open up the eye and apply 2 coats of mascara to top and bottom and-- voila! beautiful smokey eyes!!

Whenever I babysit, the parents always ask me "How much do you pay per hour?". The truth is, I don't have a rate, and they always overpay me, which I don't mind :D, but I think it's impolite to take more than 15 dollars an hour. How can I politly set a reasonable babysitting rate that isn't too much or too little? (link)

Well, I babysit, and I'm in 8th grade. I charge $10 per hour for one/two kids, and add $2 per hour for each child more than that.

my dad says that i can not get a straightner because it will ruin my hair and i will have disgusting hair when i get older and its just really bad for my hair. hes like "you can get the same effect by blow drying it" but i know that you cant because he has this picture in his mind of when i blow dried my hair a certain way once and it was SOOOOO puffy and ugly so i just put it up. and thats what hes thinking of! im like "no dad thats not it! my hair looks soo much different and better when its straightend! it is my hair and ill pay for it with my own money" he just gave me a look like he mite consider it. but i dont know, how can i he sure? Well, you really shouldn't try to lose weight so fast because it's not healthy and it won't stay off. Just do aerobic activities-- find a way to make them fun! Excercise with friends, listen to an iPod, etc. Cut out all the junk food from your diet-- eat protein instead of carbs, as little fat as possible. Remember to eat lots of protein too, because it fills you up if you're trying to lose weight. Just don't forget to pace yourself, especially if you don't really need to lose weight that badly.

I am currently torn between liking two guys...
One is my best friend. I have known him forever. We have tried dating before, but it just hasn't worked out... we're still best friends and all, but we do go on dates... Whenever we're together, people just assume we're dating.. He's really sweet, and is all boy-next-doorish. He does stuff like this... we went to see a play together, and it was cold, so he let me wear his jacket, then walked me home..
The other guy looks perfect for me, and is actually my cousin's best friend. Both of us have brown hair, and brown eyes and I come up to his shoulder (if any of this matters..) we're apparently "The cutest couple ever" according to some old ladies in the park... He's outgoing and is more rebellish though.. Like.. he stole me chocolate from a vending machine, then because I was tired, he picked me up and brought me back to the picnic ground (family reunion.. he was there with my cousin.. my cousin is a guy, by the way.) Listen to your heart. You can't rely on 8000 advice people to tell you who to date when the real judge is your heart. It will tell you where to go from here, and whatever is supposed to happen will happen. Everything happens for a reason. It might seem a little rocky right now, and might be a little difficult for a while, but in the end, you'll be glad you followed your intuition because not even 8000 advice people can be your heart for you.

I heard about this amazing acne stuff called Proactiv. I don't know if it treats "Bacne" (LoL) but you can ask your dermatologist. My sister uses it and it works great.
