Fine Hair

Question Posted Friday August 26 2005, 8:18 pm

I have very fine hair. It's about shoulder length and I have lots of layers and bangs (its blonde too by the way) The problem is it's super straight and kinda thin so when I roll it to make it look thicker in the morning it always ends up fallin down and looking icky. haha. what could i do to help my hair hold the curl, who should i get a special hair cut...if so what kind?

Try getting layers. If your hair is fine, that'll give it some volume.

dont use any rollers. use a big curling iron and curl it in in the morning. it will look thicker. good luck. ;)
p.s. STAY AWAY FROM SMALL CURLING IRONS.

Well my hair doesn't hold a curl AT ALL so what i do is i take a shower the night before, then put volumizing mousse or just mousse in general in, then blow dry it or let it dry, then curl your hair and go to sleep with it. In the morning it should have like nice waves and curls and it looks really good because my hair is really thick but it doesn't make it look that way. The same should work with thin hair. Hope I helped<3

The best way to keep curl and volume in your hair is to get volume maximizing and curl defining shampoo aond coditioners. You can try Vive, Matrix and you can refer to this site: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) for more volumizing shampoos and to this one: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) for curl defining shampoos.

Always get the FULL set of hair products for that line, that way you get the best results.

well i nkow what you mean .. my friend has that kind of hair too! But here's an idea .. just style it a kute wayy and get mega kute highlights!.. just don't let it hang in your face kuz then it'll look bad :/. Push it back out of your face .. or you could always put it in an updoo! Those are always kute! but if you really wanna it curly you could always get a perm but not a really curly perm .. or when you use a curling iron use hair spray or gel to make it stay .. any kind of gel is fine mostly styling gel

Get a curling gel-- I have curly hair that easily falls straight so to get the wet wavy hott look I would do that
It works well with thin hair cuz my good friend does that alot with her thin hair.

Well what u should do is ether, curl your hair in the mornings, cut it, or straighten it. If you don’t want to do any of those things ask me again what to do and give more details.
