so me & my boyfriend have been dating for almost 7 months. well we got into a fight friday morning, he didnt talk to me all day friday then only two words to me saturday. so he posted some facebook status that made me mad so i texted him and finally got him to talk and he proceeded to tell me that he wanted to go on a break. we've been having problems but i didnt expect this. i know this isnt all my fault and mostly it's not. i have some faults like effort but he is very selfish and needy when i'm very independent. i want to get him a gift for our 7th month whether we're back together or not, showing him that i'm trying too. i live in pittsburgh and we've already gone to a pirate game and football tickets are just way tooo expensive. i need some fun/cute ideas to do but nothing too isolated because i dont want to end up talking about what has been bothering us. i just want a day with him where we're happy again. so many ideas of a cute date would be greatly appriciated! thanks. btw; he's 19 and i'm 17 so within age requirements lol (link)

Advice columnists give advice. This site is not for advice columnists.
Hear me out.
Most people here are concerned about their ratings or how many questions they've answered, to give themselves an illusion of being perfect.
When somebody actually comes along who needs some help, but its a touchy subject that would take too long to answer or might bring down your rating, there are a golden few who actually bother answering. And what if the person who asked really needs some serious help?
But it's safer to stick to your comfort zone, answer the easy questions such as "What color should I die my hair?" and "How do I get free Jonas Brothers tickets?"
For those of you with paid accounts, you can see what question I asked last. And you'll realize that as of right now, only one person answered. One person. And I was sincerely hoping for more guidance and advice because I don't know what else to do.
It seems unless the question is all-out shocking or all-out stupid, a question like mine will fly under the radar. And I'm used to by now flying under the radar. That's why I'm in such a mess with myself.
I'm just getting sick of this. Telling someone which stores carry skinny jeans and how to cheat on a test is not advice. Helping someone through a problem is advice.

heyy..well i for one only give advice on things i could relate to, or similar experiences i've gone through. if someone needs help with skinny jeans, sure i'll help them, but if someone needs advice about something more serious, im there to help too. im sorry i didnt answer your question, maybe i didnt log on at that time. but if you need advice on anything else...i'll do my best to help..you wont be fly under my radar...

heyy, so i understand what your going through to a certain level. i have a cousin who is attractive and when i hang out with her, all eyes are on her ALL THE TIME! so i know how you feel, but this is what you have to understand, you are who are..and that is what is important. if a guy really likes you, then no friend, no matter how attractive should get in the way of the way he feels for you. im not the most confident person in the world, but im getting better...realize that you need to like yourself before anyone could like you. i havent seen you but i bet there is something about you that is beautiful, because we all possess some sort of beauty. there is a saying that says when a girl is confident-thats when she is sexy. so dont hold back. lift your head up high and walk, let people think what they want to think. YOU ARE YOU..AND THAT IS BEAUTIFUL.

im 14 years old and i weigh around 140.
i cant stop eating. like all my friends are really skinny and then when it comes to me its called fat. i have been skinny for my whole life but not im gaining weight. im on birth control too but i use that for my acne and everybody has told me that Yaz helps you loose weight but my mom wont let me get it. i really want to loose weight. i have tried a diet but it only lasted for about 4 days. and i dont know what to do. we dont have excerise stores here so i cant do that. i really dont want to become any fatter. at school they already called me pregnant because imm getting a belly. what can i do.

heyyy... so here it goes birth control causes weight gain in some females, and Yaz is actually not good for you, i think there are some harmful effects..so that is probably your mom refuses to let you use it. and you are not fat, if you feel insecure working out at home is possible, do crunches, DONT SLEEP RIGHT AFTER YOU EAT, and eat healthy proportions of food. i hope i helped :)

i am lifeguarding this summer and this guy jake who is 18 and my manager keeps teasing me. i always thought he kind of liked me because my first day of working he would do almost ANYTHING to get my attention. he started teasing me about little things (ewww gross what is that you are eating?) but now it's gotten a lot worse (i heard you gave tim a blow job!) he also orders me to do stuff and clean things and says i'm "whipped" aka his bitch. He also asks me if i'm a virgin (which i told him i am) and if i think he's hot and asks things like, "would you rather have sex with matt or me?" now other guys who i work with start teasing me, nothing as intense as that but still bad like, "i heard you had sex with josh!" or other things. this girl i work with says for me to not listen to him or other guys and that they just want to get reactions out of me. i'm not fat and i'm definitely not ugly so i don't see why they are doing this! jake doesn't act like this with any other girls (even girls he likes) so WHY is he doing this to me?
also on rare occasions he actually talks to me and tells me personal stuff (haha like how many kids he wants...what he is doing the next day...how it bothers him when he hangs out with some girls they don't put forth an effort to look good and don't wear makeup because they see him as a friend and only that) and is nice to me but what is up with the random mood swings??
another thing that has happened is i asked to take off of work and he demanded why and then i told him i was going on a date with this guy and he kept asking who and i finally told him. the date wasn't for a few days but he kept asking "how was your date?" everytime i walked in.
p.s. he left for college today and i was like "bye, jake have fun in college!" and gave him a hug and he didn't hug back he just left his arms open and was like "AHHHH!" (like in disgust) and then as i was walking up to the stand he said, "BYE KELLY!"
he came in later that day and saw me sitting on this guy's lap who was really into me and he was yelled at me "you whore!" (the whole time i was mouthing "help" because i really was not interested in the guy at all and wanted to get away from him) i explained this to him later and another guard was listening and said, "she's your girl why don't you do something about it?" this same guard earlier today told me "i bet in college he is going to find someone just like you to yell at and mess with!" i am sooo confused with what he thinks about me, and why he and other guys mess with me! advice please?

hey, well i think they just want to see how much you can take, and handle before you snap. maybe he sees something in you..or maybe their just jerks who need "entertainment" to get them through the day. try your best to ignore them, and hide your reactions...that way they look like idiots talking to someone who isnt even paying attention...hope i helped

Okay here's how it goes. I'm gonna be a junior (I'm 16) in high school this coming year and last school year, I dated a girl I liked for about 4 months. Right after school was over, we broke up. After about a week, we started texting again and after a party which we flirted all night, she said she thought we should maybe get back together. After hanging out a couple more times, she decided against it but kept texting me all the time. Now she says we're best friends (I went to an amusement park with her and her family the other day), but sometimes she texts me and we have good conversations like we did when we went out, and other times she barely gives me any answers. It's like she goes through phases where she likes talking to me, and then other times she doesn't care at all. I don't want to just sit here and let her decide where we go. I still kinda like her but don't know what I should do about everything? Try and go for it again or just be happy with being "best friends"? Please help (link)

heyyy...well maybe she just has mixed emotions towards you, and so until she figures it out she probably doesnt want to let you go. maybe she has feelings for another guys as well thats why she has these mood swings, cause maybe she cant decide who to like.

Okay, sooo I'm like in love with my best friend, a TOTAL nerd. I've made up my mind that since either of us have moved on from liking each other for 2 or 3 years, its time to confess how I feel. We have SO MUCH in common and he's just so hard to stay away from. I really want to tell him my feeling but I don't know how to... I know he likes me too, he has ever since we met. I actually started hanging out with him because I knew he had a crush on me. I did that because I remembered all of the times I liked someone who would NEVER hang out with me, and I knew that it would be the nicest thing to do to at least be friends with the guy... Then rumors got around that we were dating. At that time I liked someone else, so I just kind of sighed and shook my head. But now that I've fallen (HARD) for him, I know I blush. This is when I started wondering if he knew how I felt about him. I'm trying my best not to seem 'tease-ish' but I cant help it if I like him!!!
Sooo i've figured out that the only way to get us to hang out more and really have the best relationship is to actually START it... but I just don't know how!!! I dont even know where to start, I mean I've always imagined the GUY telling ME how he felt... I never ever wanted to do the talking, just the agreeing :o)
Sooo I need some serious advice here... I will use the advice just as you say, I swear! I just dont really want to do anything too forward like kissing him, even on the cheek, because well I know I'm already realllllly nervous about telling him and I haven't even done it yet!!! someone once told me relationships that start off as friendships tend to last longer..so seeing that you got the friendship part down, lets get to the relationship. i felt the same way you feel about making the first move and telling the guy how you feel...but sometimes you have to do it!!...if you dont make the first move, one day your gonna regret it cause, the one you have feelings for will move on because you never revealed for feelings for him. maybe your friend is waiting for you to say something, since he told you that he likes you. so this is how you do it...GET HIM ALONE..like you two just hang out somewhere and ease in to the topic..tell him that he has been an awesome friend and that you really like hanging out with him, and BOOM!..tell him you like him. if you cant do that..then do it over the phone, or by txting. one way or another let him know, dont hide in the bushes cause someone will come outta the blue and take him away. i hope i helped.

okay so me and my boyfriend started going out when i was 15 and he 16 we are now 18 so two years and some months well we broke up before we made a year and made a big mess! we started seeing other people in a way to hurt each other well we were broken up for like 4 or 5 months then we started bac talking but during the break up we still gave hint that we were still in love and talked occasionaly but anyways we have been together happily for a while now; he was my first love and i was his so we kinda knew that we would end back up together. so ive been going through alot of stress and he is my best friend seriously he's the only one that knows everything about me. well i lived wit him for about a month and during that time his ma started to not like me so the rest started to not like me, not really cause ima bad person just because she thinks im taking him away i guess well they're moving to florida soon idk when but ima still be here and i may move to georgia before the new years but idk whats going to happen with him moving that far away from me and his family kinda disliking me? i mean its far and him & my mom is the only ones i got. he said he really didnt care about moving like he wouldnt mind staying here but its too much drama here for him plus she promised him a bunch of great things when he moves. he's also going to be starting college out there and im so scared of losing him but i cant make him stay and if i move to georgia we will be closer but thats not anytime soon. we have talked about having a family and marriage and everything i just want to know do you think i will lose him when he leaves? will we be okay or whats going to happen cause he's my everything ! even though this situation is sad..it has a brighter side..this situation could really test your love, bond, trust, and communication. if this works out in your favor then you get to continue your relationship. but if doesnt, and you feel like your emotions are drifting away..then you have some thinking to do about your future together. i hope i helped.

I want to figure out how to make my big nose look smaller.
It makes me feel very self conscious because my eyes are proportionate with my mouth, but if my nose was smaller, it would also be proportionate.
Whenever I smile with my teeth showing, my nose pops out like a pop-up book. When I smile like that, it looks like Squidward from Spongebob's nose. :/
I have really white teeth, and a good smile, in my opinion; don't want to sound arrogant by any means.
I just feel that my nose ruins everything... What can I do to make it look smaller? I tried applying some bronzer on the sides so it looks slimmer, but it doesn't prevent the "pop out" situation.
I wear eye make-up (not too much, of course) to accentuate my eyes and distract attention away from my nose, but it doesn't work...
I might resort to rhinoplasty... I'm almost 16, though, is there a chance the rest of my features will "catch up" so my face looks proportionate?

well since you where make up you should use darker shades of eye make up..so all the focus is on your eyes, put some pinkish lip gloss on (if your light skinned)..

I am trying to break myself of a rather harmful addiction that I let get to the point where it was the only thing I enjoyed in life. My whole life began to revolve around it and it has some serious side effects associated with it. I've just decided that I've had enough of this stupid lifestyle and want to move on to a REAL life.
So, I'm trying to find something else I can enjoy with the same passion so I can stay clean, but I'm not having much luck so far. I don't know other HEALTHY options that I can become associated with. What should I do? Anyone have experience with this sort of thing? (link)

heyy..im really glad you decided to give up your addiction,that takes a lot of strenght. so for that i applaud you :). some things you might want to try is taking up some extra curricular activities...or stay home relax, read, clean up (i know its not fun, but its something to do). play some video games, watch some movies, and when you feel like your gonna slip..then go out for some air, or call a close friend

this is what you do to help you get ready.
1.dance at home when your alone, just play some music,feel the rhythm and dance.
2.watch some videos on youtube..of different kind of dancing..practice...you'll get them in no time.
3.when it comes to dirty dancing and grinding...just remember its ALL IN THE ASS AND HIPS..if ur grinding jus push up on the guy with your ass hard,but not to hard,and jus grind to the rhythm.
if that didnt help you, before you dance with your bf, just say "hey im not that good, so dont laugh"..this way if your better than his expectations he will be suprised, if not then atleast he was ready

So, for the past 2 months, my life has been a living hell. Well, for the most part. I waited for my current boyfriend for a long time, when he went out with another girl [who hates me by the way] he told me he never stopped liking me, and they went out for about 4 months and he ended it one night while texting me, because he wasn't happy. they were always fighting and she was cheating on him with 2 guys, one from our school, one who lives in another state. He asked me what I thought he should do, I told him, "do what mkes you happy." so ten he broek up with her. since then, for a month him and i were keeping our "liking" for eachother a secret, except for my close friends and his close friends. His ex girlfriend asked my sister the day they broke up if she thought anything was going on between him and i. my sister didnt know anything about it at the time, so she said no. then that's when it all started. his ex and i, we have some mutual friends and she turned them all against me. Then she spread nasty rumors about me, saying that I'm a homewrecker and that I told him to break up with her and that I'm a slut and all of these things that weren't true at all. People I didnt even KNOW began to hate me all because of what she was saying. So, one day I'm in the cafeteria, I go to throw out my lunch and my two friends are behind me, out f no where one of my boyfriend's exgirlfriend's friend shoved me . I was pushed backwards [my friends witnessing what happened] and i was like wtf. I didn't push back, I'm not that low and I'm not going to just start a fight, it wasn't worth it. So after she shoved me I just walked past her and gave her a look, she screamed, "dont give me a bitch LOOK" and i turned my head around and said, "I just did." then she screamed, "YOU HOMEWRECKING BITCH!" and i flipped her off. then the next day i get home and my friend tells me not to go on facebook. and I'm like, why? well, his exgirlfriend and a bunch of other people drew a picture of me being like a ghost saying i wish i was pretty and they drew my boyfriend agreeing with me, but they also drew him fat and said you suck at life and baseball. they also made notes about me and groups about me and started physically harassing me and emotionally abusing me. so I'm a confrontational person, and I consder myself a strong person, it takes ALOT to make me cry, and I cried for weeks. My boyfriend said he was dealing with it, but nothing got solved, and none of this should have been directed at me, he should be the one that they were sending their wrath after, but i got it. it doesnt make sense. well, that was when school was still here, but now that its out, she still texts him and i got mad at him, because he shouldnt want to talk to her, he says how he hates talking to her but he did anyways, so he told me he deleted her number from his phone and said that he told her they couldnt talk anymore because she just causes problems.. we have been going out for almost a month now, what do you think about all of this? thank you all so much!

well this is messy situation and i gotta give you credit for the strength and courage it took you to hold on to your sanity instead of completely losing it and fighting her...so for that WAY TO GO. people use to make rumors about me as well and i learned that if you agree with what they say even if its not true at all..they end up having nothing to say. so if they call you a slut..say yea im a slut and walk away. whatever they say..just agree with it since you dont want to get into any physical activity.another approach is sacrasm.. so if they say harsh things to you like "your a homewrecker"..something i would say is "aww thank you...i learned from the best"..or i would say "you should know all about that now shouldnt you"..but sometimes all you have to do is just wait till the fire dies off..because eventually they will find someone else's busniess to get into. i dont know if i helped but i hope i did..and i hope things for you get easier.
