Asking a girl out

Question Posted Monday August 24 2009, 6:56 pm

So I'm ready to ask this girl out, we're friends, and we've been talking a lot lately. Here is more or less what I plan to say, is this good at all? Give me specific suggestions please.

"I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you better over the past couple months, and I feel like we’ve become pretty close since we’ve been talking everyday. To be honest, I am realizing that I’m starting to fall for you and your awesome personality. Basically I would like to know where you think you see this going between us, because I know where I would like to see it go."

I think this is great. It's very sweet and honest and she will know that you took the time and put a lot of thought into making it special. It's great and I'm sure she'll love it.

this is really good... i can tell your being honest and thats what a girl wants from a guy
-honesty. just tell her what you like about her and dont hold back.

i think you should just go for it, there's not much i can add to what your going to say because you'v pretty much said it all.. apart from the ovious 'will you go out with me' part of the convosation but im sure you'll get there.

goodluck xxx

Reading this and keeping in mind that I'm love with a best friend, this is EXACTLY how I would like to be asked out. I'm a girl, by the way and that was a really great way to ask a girl out. I don't know what this girl's personality is, but I know that if she likes you too she will realize what you're trying to ask from the first two sentences. I'm not asking you to shorten it, because if she knows what you're trying to say and LIKES it, then she would definitely want to hear more about why you exactly want to ask her out :)

Make sure to pay attention to her body language when you're telling her, you can usually tell what they are going to say before they answer by their body language :) So yeah just try to do that unless you think you're going to be SO emotionally filled up and concentrated that if you tried to focus on anything else you would crash... lol :)

Hope this helps, seeing no one else has answered yet! :D
