Hey everyone. Does anyone have Duran Duran's most recent album, titled 'Astronaut'? I like two of the tracks on it but thats not the same as buying the whole thing. I love their musical style but I'm still not sure. Do you think I should buy it? Is it any good?
Try going to FYE or some other music store and listening to the CD through those little head phone things, if you like the rest of the CD, buy it. If you don't, have someone else burn you another CD with the two tracks you like on it. If you have an Ipod borrow someone elses CD and put those tracks on your Ipod.
well, my bf and i go to diffrent schools so we try to hang out as much as we can inbetween my soccer and work for both of us. during the week i try to go over his house every night i dont have soccer adn she always fights with me about it...
i mean id have him over my house but she doesnt like people over??
what can i do to make things better between my mom and i?
Have her meet your boyfriend, and explain to her why he is so special to you. Maybe she was hurt at a young age as a guy and doesn't want you to go through the same thing. Make sure you tell her that you really like this guy, and it would mean allot to you if she would give him a chance.
Is it possible that you are accidentally hurting her feelings by spending all your free time by his house? If this might be true arrange a girls night out with just your mom to do a little bonding.
After reading this, I know that I will get a few comments telling me that my younger sisters' life is like Tracey's life in the movie Thirteen.
I want to give background by saying that I am now 14, and my sister is 13. When I was 12, I was really in love with guys, and I had a boyfriend and stuck with him, but I did only hang out with about 2 or 3 guys, but I was young, when there was no kissing, or raging hormones. I had my first peck on the lips with my boyfriend, but went no further because I was way too young.
When I reached 13, and my sister was 12, I noticed that her behavior with boys was much different than mine. She had got a boyfriend that had gotten high all the time and was nasty.
Now, my dad didn't like this at all, but he had no control over it because of his divorce with my mom, so after he was gone, our family lost its control.
After a while, she stopped dating the guy and dated this new guy she met, I knew nothing about him. But soon, I found out that she had made out with him already. 12 year old girl. Soon, we began to see where the influence was coming from, one her friends she met, a girl that had a nasty behavior with guys.
My mom didn't seem to want to stop this, she was busy living her own life, as I was angry, and telling her how horrible shes been towards her kids, my dad was on her case about it too.
My sister has the worst attitude ever, always telling my mom to shut up and ordering her around. I didn't take her crap, if she dared to order me around, I'd just tell her to shove it, of course my mom would defend her.
Shes now 13, and my mom knows that shes tried her first cigarette. She spreads rumors, lies and has caused so much pain in our family.
So, I guess what I'm trying to ask is, that nobody wants to see their younger sister spend her life this way, my mom is still doing nothing about this, my dad still has no control, and I want something done about it. Would anyone know a possible way that I could fix this, or should I watch her pay the price of her own actions?
[NOTE: I can't talk to my mom, nobody could even guess how many battles of just trying to talk to her I've been with her, and there must be more shes doing because a friend told me that theres a lot of things shes been doing that I don't know about, I've asked her and she won't tell me.]
As terrible as it is, you have to let her hit rock bottom. You can help her pick up the pieces after she's at her lowest, but first she needs to be able to see that what she is doing is wrong. If she doesn't then she won't listen to your advice that have to give her. Remember sometimes people put up walls, not to keep others out, but to see who cares enough to tear them down.
i want to act as a career but everyone doupts me my confidence is low what should i do
Tell them to go stick it in the a$$ because you can become anything you want to if you try hard enough. Never lose sight of your dreams. Remeber everyone will tell you that you can't do something for some reason or another, it is your job to tell them that you can.
I'd like to start a tradition with the theater that I'm in. Any good suggestions and ideas?
A really great tradition that we do is chant. The last preformance really gets emotional when the student director of this years plays hands the leader position over to the student director of next years play. Any ways, the words are... {remember you say one line and thenthe ensamble repeats the line back. It practices diction and volume}
To sit in solemn silence
On a cold dark dock
In a pestilential prision
with a life long lock
awaiting the sensation
of a short sharp shock
from the cheap and chippy choppers
on the big black blocks
I know men of the ranks
And they're going to stay in the ranks
why?
I'll tell you why
Simply because they have the ability to get things done!
My life is running on a basis of two things-acting and writing. There are (obviously)other things in my life, but these seem to be my strongest activities. I have had major roles in plays and have been very sucessful with writing as well, winning a $125 prize, a newspaper contest, etc. They are both things that I love doing and are good at, and find it hard to decide hich one I shopuld focus on. I would really like to choose one so that I may start to try out for plays or write for the paper or something, but I find it hard to decide. I am a straight A student, so grades shouldn't be a problem. Please help!
~WILL RATE 5'S!!!!~
Why don't you combine the two and become a playwright? Many great playwrights like Shakespeare both wrote plays and acted in them, so you can embrace both of your passions. Or, if writing plays isn’t your cup of tea, become a theatre critic for a newspaper, however if you do that you may not also be able to be an actor. A final idea would be a publicity manager for a playhouse. You get to see plays, write ads for local newspapers, along with making flyers and such.

Sheesh! No one wears clothes to these things anymore!
I'm almost thirty and I've only gone out with a few girls when I was in college. Every time I had sex with them I was drunk and I only lasted a minute. Literally. Does anybody know any procedures I can do to last longer because I have a big date tonight with a really cute librarian and I think she wants to have sex with me. Please help!
Please hold on while I stop laughing at you...............................................................................................Sorry, I couldn't stop
How do you accentuate your eyes? How do you make your eyes look bigger, but with a natural, yet stunning and exotic kind of look? Any tips or sites would be appreciated, thanks.
Plastic surgery, those bastards can do anything these days

So this Saturday is prom and I am going with the guy I like. What is some small ways I could let him know that I like him like what can I do? Thanks!
Show up on his door step naked pretending to deliver a pizza. Then be 'surprized' when he opens the door. In the awkward silence that may or may not follow say, "oh hello I'm here from naked deliveries. Did you order a pizza?" This works EVERY time.
My boyfriend and I had intercourse two Saturdays ago. I'm due to get my period the begining of next week. Normally, by now I'd be showing my normal signs of PMS such as lower back ache, tender breasts, bloating, excessive eating, and cramping. The only thing that I'm getting is slight lower back pains, slightly tender breasts (but hardly), and the excessive eating. We did use protection, but as you may know, condoms are not 100%. Could it be possible that I am pregnant? Or do you think it's a little too soon to tell? I should be getting my period between the 23rd-25th. 17/f. And for the mothers on this site, when you didn't know you were pregnant, before you got your period, did you show your normal signs of PMS? Thank you.
You are most definately pregnant. Woopsies! The only way to be completely safe is to abstain from sex!
can you have unprotected sex with a guy who is sterile???
You can have unprotected sex, but you can still get an STD
I’m a high school senior, and I’m playing a principle character (but not a lead or supporting character) in this year’s school musical. For most of my scenes, I have a microphone. There are only a few microphones so the principles have to share. All through rehearsal, I had enough time to swap microphones with my designated partner. However, on opening night, I didn’t, and I couldn’t get my microphone on in time. It fell out of my dress while I was onstage. I pretended like it wasn’t even there, and this angered my director.
What should I have done? Is it better to break curtain, or to break character? And what should I do if it happens in subsequent performances?
You should never break character. The best thing to do is improv. Try to do something your character would do. For example let's say you're Evelyn Nesbit in Ragtime, she's a little slutty and a little trashy so she would think nothing of adjusting herself infront of others or making some lewd comment, or get someone else to reach down her top to fish out her microphone. Another example, you're Annie. Annie has the locket her parents gave her so you could try to grab the locket and talk about missing your parents. Always stay in character nomatter what!
I am in a school production of Bye Bye Birdie. I think I am doing OK with the memorization of my lines, but sometimes I foget where to go and don't know how to dramatize certain parts. (I play Mrs. Peterson, a huge over-reactor) i am usually good at giving advice about this stuff, but I am stuck. Does anyone know how I could be mroe dramatic and confident in myself?
~stage STUCK
You have to remember that when you are on stage, you aren't Sarah, or Amy, or Beth. When you are on stage you are Mrs. Peterson. When we do plays at school we fill out background sheets on our characters, try to do that to see why Mrs. Peterson is over emotional. Once you can understand the character you will begin to understand why you are doing/ saying certain things.
If you have serious questions on blocking talk to your stage director. Usually they will spare some time to go over it with you. Another thing I find helpful is to go through my script and higlight.
For example my lines will be in yellow, when other charactes talk about me it is in blue, stage direction is in pink, and prefaces regarding my character are in green.
Hope I was helpful!
Hi. Well, for my 2 cousins I had did designed a science project board for one of my cousins and did a project on somethin' Marshall I think-I forget the name. Well, I had to put aside my work to help them, and their parents said that they would give me a reward for that for my birthday which was the 3rd of ny, but I haven't gotten anything from them. I think I did this like 1 or 2 months ago. I know that it's rude to just ask them to give you the reward, so in what way might I give them hints for them to know that my birthday passed, and that they need to give me that reward? The next time I see them might me in about 2 weeks when we travel to Dallas, Texas for this organization that our parents are in but children attend too. I need help!
Sometimes you end up just doing things like that for your family. Even though it really sucks and you don't want to, that's what family is for. If the reward is really that important to you at a time when everyone is sitting around laughing bring it up as a joke and playfully nudge your aunt or uncle. Hopefully this will help them get the idea with out being overly blatant.
Why is it when I look at certain people's typing, my eyes begin to burn? My eyes burn especially with sticky caps, and internet abbreviations.
(luv, gurl, boi, seckz, lol, brb, kay, ur, u, r, etc)
It's almost unbearable, how do I make it stop?
Maybe you are just a freak....just suggesting....
random question, but if you marry your highschool sweetheart right after senior year and before college, is that a bad thing? like will that cause problems with being married and going to school at the same time?
and basically is it bad to just get married at that age in general? is it hard to handle money, buying homes, etc?
because I really want to ask my beautiful girlfriend that I've known my whole love to marry me, but I don't want it to cause problems.
Yeah, it is a bad idea. You haven't live your life yet and don't have enough experience or maturity to know what you want in life. It might cause problems at school,(getting marital dorm rooms, or a co-ed room), and what if she get's pregnant? Do you expect her to drop out?
Is there any way to make your eyebrows grow faster?
No
