I'm going to be a junior this year, and i'm taking Algebra 2. My question is what kind of calculator will I need for this course? A scientific or a graphing? (link)

i've been using graphing calculators since algebra 1 so i would recommend getting a graphing calculator. i don't know how far in depth you get in you're class but we started trig at the end of the year and a graphing calculator came in handy. also they come in pretty handy for SATs and ACTs!

Last school year I took AP US History at my high school. My final grade was an 87, a B. However, on my AP exam I made a 2. Our teacher told us a 3 was passing but some colleges (like technical colleges) will accept a 2 and the class will count as an elective credit.
I don't really mind if it doesn't count as a credit because it wasn't a history credit anyways, but do you think I'll go through any trouble with colleges that see I only made a 2? I don't want to hurt my chances of getting into a good college. I've never failed a big exam like this. I'm an A/B student and I have at least a 4.0. I'm about to be a senior.
Will my GPA make up for the bad exam grade? I really hope so, because I'm seriously depressed about this. I can't believe my grade was so low, and I'm starting to wonder if I'm college material after all. (link)

hey don't worry about it!! AP exams are to measure how much you learned but it is soo hard to pass the exams!! my teacher told me that because so many more students are taking ap exams that it is even harder to make a passing grade because of the bell curve which means the majority of students will get 2s and few will get 4s and 5s! it doesn't affect your grade at all and colleges don't even ask for your score unless you want college credit for that class. But also because so many people are taking ap exams most colleges are only giving credit to students who get a 4 or 5 on the history exam. all i can say is to just let it go because it doesn't affect your grade and just try to study harder next year! good luck!

Okay, Beyonce lost 22 pounds in 14 days by using this diet consisting of lemon juice, water, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper. And Jared Leto (30 Seconds to mars) lost 20 pounds in 10 days by the means of this diet as well. And one of my cousins tried this diet and she lost 18 pounds in 10 days.
I'm guessing that since my cousin tried this diet, it works. Has anyone tried or heard of thie fast/diet? I really want to try it. But how can you manage to live just off that and plain water and nothing else for ten days without fainting or something? (link)

actually my dad just got done doing that because he read about it somewhere without knowing that it was a celebrity fad. i'm going to be honest the drink smelt disgusting but my dad was doing it to clean out his system, not to be anorexic. he lost a pound a day w/ exercise so that was pretty good. he said that the first two days were really hard but after that he forgot that he was hungry. just make sure you drink a lot of water and once you stop the diet to eat healthy and exercise so you can keep the weight off! good luck!

um well it sounds to me like a seizure but im not sure. if it was a seizure i suggest you take her to a vet right away because that usually means something is wrong with her brain. since she is an older dog, you might want to have her checked out just in case!

well she probably doesn't like you in that way...but it could just be that she's not ready for a relationship right now. try getting to know her better and do little things to make her like you like send her notes, open doors for her, just be really sweet and get to know her better! hope i helped good luck!

I've been a cheerleader for 5 years. I'm trying out for my schools squad once again next month; football squad to be exact. I'm afraid I won't make it; I excel at everything in cheerleading except for tumbling. After I hurt my knee last year; I lost all my tumbling and I have a horrible mental block. The football squad is pretty much all tumblers, I really wanna make this squad for my mom, it means alot to her. But I don't know what to do, do you guys have any tips on how to get over this mental block? (link)

omgosh i know exactly what your going through! i've been cheerleading for 4 years and last year i fell in a tumbling pass and i had a major tumbling block!! what really helped me through it is having people on the squad yelled for you and telling you that you can do it. i also kept in mind the goal that i was trying to reach and that was making the squad so everytime i'd go to throw a pass i just thought in my head "i wan't to make this team." you just have to get over the fear and i remember my mom telling me that you have muscle memory and that your muscles remember things that you have done repedidly and will automatically do them! just trust your self and go for it! good luck!

omgosh it was like the best episode ever!! lol! so luke said yes 2 loralie about marrying her!! wow i was so happy! ya so luke wants 2 buy the wicker house and have kids w/ her and stuff and she said that kids would be nice. ya so rory moved in w/ her gparents and got 300 hrs of community service and probation for stealing the boat. and ms patty keeps telling luke she's sry that he didn't get 2 ask loralie and stuff haha so luke bought a ring 4 her but hasn't given it 2 her yet! ya and next wk looks like an awesome episode 2!!

okay so when i wake up my eye gets like really weird.. my eyelid looks swollen but its not swollen and i dont have pink eye ..i get this about every morning and it gets so annoying because one eye looks smaller than the other! whats wrong and what do i do?!

we did "can you dig it?" for our saying and one year we did 369 serves so fine, we're gunna beat yall one more time, get low, get low, get low gert low get low, from the attack line to the net, till sweat drops from the ball, we'll spike so hard u'll crawl, get low get low ect. haha hope i helped!

ya thats definatly normal!! i remember in 7th grade my boyfriend was like 4 inches shorter than me!! but done worry they all grow like a foot and get muscle, its not really a big deal cause most of the girls were taller than the guys until the end of 8th grade when they all grew! hope i helped!

I know this is gross and stuff...but its true....i was raped by my teacher and he swore that if i tell anyones hes going to kill me and I see him all the time...like he is following me or something to make sure I am not telling...and so I dont know how to tell anyone beczuse he said he would kill me...anyone have any ideas...because i am scared to tell someone

awh im soo sorry that happened to you but you really need to tell your parents and then the police! he can't hurt you so long as the police have him! i watch law and order-svu all the time and the only ones who are hurt are the ones who dont tell anyone! he might even try to rape you again! i really urge you to tell someone! hope i helped!

I am a 13/f and never had a boyfriend and I think think this is my chance.There is this boy who has gone to mostly every school I have gone to(were in the same grade).But I think he likes me.Its like he has been drooping clues like he stares at me all the time with this serious look on his face,he saved me one time(if thats what you wanna call it)because I was walking and I wasn`t waching where I was going so I was about to bump into the wall then he said somthing to me then that made me look up,and his friend keeps on looking at me and once he was starring at me so I turend around to look and he quikly turend around.So how do I figure out if he likes me without talking to him and can you give me information on how to tell if a boy likes you.

if i were you i would try getting to know him better! start out just being friends and just flirt with him! guys like girls that smile and just act like themselves! if you want to know if he likes you get a close friend to talk to him and ask who he likes and if he would be interested in going out with you! it sounds to me like he's already interested in you so just act confident and have fun around him! hope i helped!

i used 2 live in phoenix 5 yrs ago and i love it there! Phoenix is barely desert because they keep building neighborhoods and stuff! i just visited during christmas and its like all city! its really hot there though during the summer cause i remember 1 day it got like 110 degrees! but where i lived they built a new mall i think it was like desert ridge mall or something! anyways just im me at kaylawayla56 if u have questions!

i have a 5 month old cocapoo who uses puppy pads to urinate but will not poop on them or outside no matter how long we keep him outside. What can I do? Alsohow can I make his coat curly and shinny again? (link)

awh i have a cocapoo too! neways we put like a gate around the pad thing and put my dog in there and left her there. eventually she'll have to go and when she does just praise her a lot and give her a treat! to get the coat shiny just give him a bath and use human shampoo! it really works! let his fun grow out a little bit so it will look curly, but don't let it get too long or it will look bad! hope i helped!

In high school, we get to choose which language we want to take- French or Spanish. I signed up for Spanish, but I'm having second thoughts. I like French a lot more, but I want to do what's best for me. Does anyone have any pros or cons for taking a certain language, or just general advice on what I should do? Thanks! (link)

you should take french! its so easy! but it depends where you live cause if u live by mexico or somewhere south(like me) then you would probably benifit more from spanish but french is so interesting cause you dont meet a lot of people from france so its so cool learning about their culture! also a lot of schools offer trips to france for french 2 and french 3 students! hope i helped!

i had the same problem when i tryed out for the first time in 7th grade. someone told me to look over their heads at something on the wall but smile and maybe if you get brave enough look down at them and do a facial or something. lol hope i helped!
