a lot of people in my school have the TI-89 Silver Edition Graphing Calculators. They said it worked wonders for them. You can plug in all of your formulas inside the calculator and on tests if you forget a formula, you can use that..its a calculator, so their teacher's allowed it. Also, it has a bunch of really cool things already installed in it. It'd help you in the long run because you can also use it on SAT's and the MCAS. or atleast where i'm from you can.

You will deffinately need a graphing calculator. A really good one that will help you will all kinds of tasks is the TI 83 its the best. We use them at my school

They may be about 90 dollars but it is well worth it i promise. Good luck on your junior year.

You need a graphing calculator. Because in Algebra 2, you will graph a lot of functions.

Your school will probably rent you one. So you probably don't have to buy one.

i've been using graphing calculators since algebra 1 so i would recommend getting a graphing calculator. i don't know how far in depth you get in you're class but we started trig at the end of the year and a graphing calculator came in handy. also they come in pretty handy for SATs and ACTs!

Well. I just took that class last year & our teacher gave us graphing calculators to use because it makes it easier to see graphs that way.

I guess it just depends on the teacher / class.. graphing calculators are expensive but they helped me out a lot.

Just use a scientific. You don't need a graphing calculator until you are in trig, and geometry. You can buy them pretty cheap at walmart for 10-20 dollars. I recommend Texas Instruments brand.

Oh- and when you first get the calculator, there will be a white piece of plastic that has a chart on it. It explains what every button does- and it comes in handy. Do not throw it away!

Good luck:]

I'm taking Algebra 2 this year, too. Our school told us we need a scientific calculator. Not graphing. Good Luck!
