Master cleanser diet..

Question Posted Saturday January 20 2007, 2:48 am

Okay, Beyonce lost 22 pounds in 14 days by using this diet consisting of lemon juice, water, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper. And Jared Leto (30 Seconds to mars) lost 20 pounds in 10 days by the means of this diet as well. And one of my cousins tried this diet and she lost 18 pounds in 10 days.
I'm guessing that since my cousin tried this diet, it works. Has anyone tried or heard of thie fast/diet? I really want to try it. But how can you manage to live just off that and plain water and nothing else for ten days without fainting or something?

Although Jared lost all of the 60 pounds he gained for a movie by this diet, even he has said it still affects his health in a negative way. It's not meant for anyone to do unless they're under close observation by professionals, and Beyonce and the like have trainers and dieticians that they hire just for that purpose. Even then it's risky. You probably don't want to hear this, but if you were seriously wanting to try it out, go to a specialist in this type thing to see if it would be safe for you.

actually my dad just got done doing that because he read about it somewhere without knowing that it was a celebrity fad. i'm going to be honest the drink smelt disgusting but my dad was doing it to clean out his system, not to be anorexic. he lost a pound a day w/ exercise so that was pretty good. he said that the first two days were really hard but after that he forgot that he was hungry. just make sure you drink a lot of water and once you stop the diet to eat healthy and exercise so you can keep the weight off! good luck!

The reason why Beyonce can do it at all is because she had to do a movie and only had a small amount of time to become superskinny to play a role. She's surrounded by professionals who make sure she recovers well, but its NOT a good idea for anyone! Dont do it, please. You WILL probably faint and you will lose many important nutrients in your diet that you need to live. Sure, you'll lose weight, but you will be extremely unhealthy. And you will in the end gain a LOT of weight back. So, dont do it. Lose weight in a healthy way thats easier to maintain and wont give you severe health issues. Eat healthy and work out!

DON'T TRY IT! That's a special diet for celebs only to loose weight fast for a movie but they gain it back as soon as they're done with the movie role. Even Beyonce warned others about it in this site: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Don't cheat! Beauty can take a lot of work for people and you shouldn't cheat by cutting out food! You should be able to be skinney and still eat healthy!

That's not a diet, that's anorexia.

Oh god, that's brutal.
I'm not even going to start on how bad that is for you. You're cutting out all nutrition and getting rid of a tonne of muscle mass.
God forbid anyone on the diet starts gaining weight again (which they will) because they're going to gain way more than what they started off with unless they're planning on living off celery for the rest of their lives.
