there isn't really a good way to know. if you have a very honest friend that wouldn't lie to you, ask them. i don't recomend asking your parent, because they will tell you it's good no matter what. if you have a chorus teacher, ask them.

13/f there is this guy we will call him "Fred". At a party I went to my friend found out that Fred liked me. My friend is really good friends with Fred, but I am not. My friend asked me if i would go out with Fred. I replyed that I would like to get to know him better before we went out. He felt rejected, and interperted it as me saying, get away from me you freak," but thats not how i meant it. I know he is going to ask me out, and i really do want to get to know him, who knows maybe i'll satrt liking him. He does not have a screename and doesn't pick up his cell. He is in one of my classes, and i don't want to talk to him in front of a lot of people, what can i do to get to know him better and convince him that I really do want to get to know him and i wasn' just saying that to get him away. Any tips aprreciated. Thanks

since he won't answer his phone or talk online, which would probably make you feel more comfortable, you just have to approach him in person. don't bring a friend along with you, as it can make guys feel uncomfortable. also, don't go up to him when he's with his friends and talk to him. if he's with his friends, but nothing is big is going on, ask him if he'd talk to you and pull him to the side and tell him you did NOT mean 'get away' of whatever and that you want to get to know him better. good luck =]

here is my problem. I am the kind of girl everyone says is really pretty but never gets a boyfriend or one that is high enough to my standards that i would day. I can get the ugly guys but comeon who wants that.


Anyways here is my situation. I met this kid at work and i found out he went to school with me. He is a veryyy atractive kid and seems like a truely nice guy.

He seems like the guy i have always wanted to date until i found out today he is a pot smoker.

My question is does that make him worth dating? I don't know much about him and by the looks of his myspace it looks like he does not smoke very often. I am totally anti smoking and anti drugs and out of all of my friends i seem to be the most outragous when it comes to that topic (i have drank only a small handful of times). So pretty much i am a good girl.

As long as he doesn't smoke around me you know i don't care but is her serously like boyfriend material? like i don't want to get my heartbroken over a guy who was never going to be comitted or whatever.

I am very confused on what to think and how to deal with this because i believe he likes me and i sorta like him too.

As I was reading this, I realized it sounded like something I would have written a few months ago. Yes, he is worth dating. I'm not anti smoking, but I don't smoke myself. I was single for almost a year, until my now-boyfriends came along, and he smokes almost everyday. It's not really a problem at all. If you tell him how you feel about smoking, he should respect you and not smoke around you. One thing, don't tell him to quit. That will just cause too many problems. So tell him you don't like it and ask him not to smoke around you, but if he's a good guy, he wouldn't even think of doing that. As for getting heartbroken over a guy that wasn't going to commit, same problem here. My boyfriend usually doesn't date girls for more than a week. But, we've been together for a while and things are still going stong. I don't know how the guy you're talking about is with girls, but if your the right person, it'll be worth it.

So I have this friend and she thinks she knows everything about everyone. If someone says something she says it was "her thing" and she thinks shes "the shit" and that everyone else should be just like her. Any ideas on how I can say to her that she's not and that it's annoying? I rate fives! :]

Hm.. this is kinda hard to do, because when someone thinks that way, they don't like to be told otherwise. You might want to say yes, she is original, but there is no way she could make EVERYTHING up herself. And yes, she is "the shit", but she could try being open to other peoples ideas. and i was thinking about getting a chi.

I know my boyfriend REALLY likes me. To him, I am his number one priority and I even think he is ditching his friends so he can have more time with me.

I have a boyfriend and he is really nice. He is always very sweet and considerate of me. He has made it clear that he really likes me alot and I like him too.

He sounds really outgoing on the phone, but then at school he is so nervous, he can barely talk to me. Not a jerk at all. I remember I had a boyfriend a few years back that I could talk to all I want on the phone, but I got REALLY shy around him at school. It got better over time though. I have an ipod mini. It's 3 years old now, so Im wanting to buy a new music player. Overall my mini has been very nice. I've had battery trouble and have never liked that fact. It bothers me and so Im not sure if I should get another apple.

Hey. I used to have thee same prob. Keep a calendar with special marks on it. When your period stops, count 20 days away from. Most girls cycles are about 20 days or so. So wear a light panty-liner around that time. Should help.

13/m. I have a sister who is 14. Where we live, stuff happens slowly. It's not like in NYC where everyone loses their virginity at, like 13. My sister finally got her first boyfriend. I'm not too worried about that. But, they're taking everything too fast: one week, they're dating. Another week, they're holding hands. This may not seem like much to you, but where I live it is. And now yesterday---they've been together 2 months, tops---they both had their first kiss.

I've been trying to get more info, but she's really private about this. I asked her if it was just a peck or if she made out, and she said that it was about 5 seconds. Is that long for a first kiss? And I asked her when, and she showed me a ring that she got from him. Unfortunately, I suck at taking hints, so I still don't get it.

She doesn't want to tell anyone about anything that happens. My other sister and my parents are still completely unaware that they've done so much as hold hands, and she doubts she'll tell them about kissing any time soon.

i just got my hair cut like an hour ago its a little bit below my shoulders and its angled so the front is at my chin it used to be a litte bit under my breasts i used to be known for wearing my hair in a high pony tail or a low ponytail my new hair looks cute and all but now i know i cant fit is in a high ponytail and i tried getting it into a low one and it doesnt even work if i put my fingers on the side of my eyes all the stuff in front of that is out of the low ponytail does anyone have any ideas on how i could keep it in my ponytail without putting a load of hairspray or gel? I'm a 16 year old girl, and I don't shave my legs or armpits on any regular basis. I'll do them for special occassions or if I'm wearing a special outfit, but most of the time the hair just doesn't bother me so I don't bother removing it. I figure that it's my body, and my time and energy that I'm saving by not shaving, but sometimes I worry that guys won't be interested in me because of this and I've got to the age where I wish guys expressed more interest in me. Should I start shaving, or should I just wait for a guy who doesn't mind me being me?
