Q: I always hear from people that high school is supposed to be the best time of your life. That this is the time when you find yourself. Well, I haven't exactly found myself yet, which is alright I suppose since I'm just going into sophomore year.
But I am a little worried. I've reached a point due to a horrible first year of high school where I just don't care about who likes me or if I have friends.
Basically the only thing I'm counting on to get me through this hellhole called school is that college, marriage, and kids will be better.
But I just don't want to regret twenty years down the road that my high school experience sucked. Then what do I tell my kids? "Oh yes don't worry! You'll be fine in high school!"
I hear my parents tell me stories about how their high school years were and I sort of feel like a failure at life.
So my question is, is high school really the best time of your life? Are there any adults that could maybe share what they thought were the best years? (And I'm NOT going to rate you low if you tell me that yes, high school is the best. I want honesty and I can take it.)

I believe that there is no set period of time that could be described as the best time of your life. We all find ourselves at some point, just not at the same time as others. When others struggle through high school, others ease right by. It's all about an individual. Who knows? You could get to college and LOVE IT. Or, you could go to high school one day, and everything could turn around. My best advice is to just live each day the way you want to, so you can one day tell your kids that you never regretted anything you ever did, because it was what you wanted to do at the time. Just relax, and enjoy life. =]

We don't have a dress code, we can wear whatever we want. I usually wear pretty tops like that but I'm not sure :P

High School can be hard at times, but other than that I think it's the same as middle school. Sure the classes are harder but school is school. Being a freshman can be scary, but there are others who are going through the same thing as you.

I think you shouldn't ruin the friendship you already have with him, but who knows? He might have feelings for you too and might be shy to admit it to you.

Q: i am going to a new school next year, and although i know four other friends going, they arent my close friends and my best friends are staying at my old school. im going to be a freshman and im really scared. although i have been to four different schools, ive never been to a big public school before. the largest ive ever been to had 87 students. im worried i wont make friends and im hoping you will help me find a way to meet people.

Since the school you are going to is larger, there will be tons of different people there. People you will get to know, a lot of them new just like you are. So don't be scared, you're not the only one who wants to make friends. :)

Just break it to her gently and tell her that you just want your own style. Help her pick out some clothes and things for her to wear. The only reason that she is copying you is because she thinks your cool and looks up to you. That's the most important thing.

Explain to your friends that you really want to get to know him. Say that you really don't want to lose this chance and you know that they will understand. If they really are awesome frineds, then they will support you no matter what choice you make.
