This is a really odd question, but my nipples get really itchy sometimes and if i scatch around there they tend to kind of open up and not exactly bleed, but like an open wound. So i covered them with bandaids.
Can anyone explain this?
..This is really embarrasing. (link)

its just dry skin. so after you get out of the shower - put some lotion on it (aveeno works the best for this). it will get better almost instantly! :)

how does a eliptical machine work? I want one but I'm not sure how to use it. (link)
|
its like a cross between a stairmaster and a treadmil. theres two foot pedistals - and they move up and down in the shape of an elipse. you run with on them. i know everlast makes an exclent model - google it - i hope you find what you want! its an excelent machine!

if i just keep singing and singing will i gradually get better?? how can i improve my voice without singing lessons??
thanks so much

these few things will help you improve - but yes pratice makes perfect!
work on your diaphram -
stand up totally straight - then bend over so that your back is completley flat ( like a table) if you want - you can use a wall to stablize yourself. then sing a note that you know you can hit. being in this position forces you to sing from your diaphram - and then you will know what it feels like.
improve your range -
well first if you learn to properly breath your range will almost instantly get slightly bigger - and the rest comes from pratice -
sing a song thats "belty" a la christina aguleria perhaps? and after enough time - you'll be able to hit the notes. I've found that if you record yourself - you can hear exactly what your doing wrong- and then work on that particular area.
this will all strengthen your voice over time.
dont drink cold water - its best to have it at room temperature
hope i helped!
best of luck!

-i want to improve my range, and i'm wondering if there is anything i can do to work on this? and i really want to learn how to sing runs and belt out songs
-also my voice is kind of weak and cracks at times and i'm wondering if there are any ways to strengthen it

I'm really skinney (size 1) but I have really fat, blubbery, nasty looking legs and thighs. Any workouts that would help slim it down? it's making me self concious in my bikini (link)
|
I've found that an eliptical machine works out those exact muscles - and will kill any fat that is there - you just have to be dedicated to it. Most gyms have them - and its not hard on your knees unlike say running on a treadmil - which is. If you dont have the expendable cash to join a gym - you can run a little every day. It wont get you there as fast - but it will get you there!

I like to wear band tees but that looks rather plain. Is there any way to spice up an outfit while I'm wearing these tshirts? I really like supporting the bands but I dont want to look plain or boring. (link)
|
pair it with a black blazer and a pair of ripped/ faded jeans. it gives it a whole new look - and you can still support your favorite bands!

Hey my name is Rachel and iam 17 years old and i've been so tired lately. It can't be that i don't get enough excersize becouse I walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes every day.I also get enough sleep so what can be wrong? (link)
|
Its highly possible that you're oversleeping. When you get too much sleep your body reacts the same way it would if you hadnt gotten enough - the other option could be your diet. Do you eat alot of things with sugar/ carbs? because these types of foods will give you energy for a short amount of time only and then you will feel completly drained. The best advice i can give is to eat friuts and vegtables and get no more than 8 hours of sleep a night. At first you still may feel tired- perhaps even more than normal because it will take your body time to adjust to the new routine - however after a week you should feel more energitic and healthier as well. Good Luck!
Hope I helped!

i was a cutter for about a year then i stoped for 8 monthes i got back into and now i cant seem to stop my mom dose not know nor dose my boy friend what do i do so i can stop for good and not get it back in my lilfe (link)
|
Cutting is often about having some pain that you can control. I put rubber bands around my wrist and snapped them when i wanted to cut; this gave me the control over the pain without having to cut- it helps. You're wise to realise this is a problem that could be potentially deadly- and i'll be happy to help in any way i can - even if its just someone to talk to. Good Luck.

Hello, I have a 1968 Barracuda w/ a 318, all stock, that has started to run rough at higher rpm's while driving. I think the plugs might be fouled, but thought to seek the advice. What do you think? (link)
|
that sounds like it could be a transmission problem - but im not to familar with that make and model so im not that sure - its best to just take it to a mechanic they know best.

I was exposed to a person for about half an hour in a closed room yesterday, today they're in the hospital with Meningitis.
I have a really weak immune system.
What do I do other than load up on ColdFX? (link)
|
you should call a doctor and get yourself checked just to be on the safe side. Chances are that you wont catch it - even if you do have a weak immune system - but it wont hurt to get checked because on the off chance that you did get sick meningitis is treatable if you catch it eairly enough.
Hope i helped!

When I started playing field hockey, I had to take our my earrings. So for field hockey season (about 2 months) I probably only wore earring for about a totaly of 4 days.
Now, it's over, and I've started wearing earrings again. I JUST took them out, and my ears hurt so much! They are red, and I KNOW that they are infected badly!
Does anybody know any thing I can do to make this better? I need all the advice I can get!! (Home remedies would be so nice :)
THANKS!! (link)

try cleaning them with alcohol for a few days and wearing only 14K gold or higher earings. if it doesnt get better within two weeks - you may have to let your holes close; and get them re-pierced at a later time. I hope i helped.

I have this friend...lets call the friend C. C is one of my bestest friends. C's so fun and lively and gosh, you can't tell that theres anything bad going on in C's life. C's one of the two friends that I have that are always cheerful and happy. Well, yesterday when we were being idiots and dancing in the hallways b/w class(don't ask) I saw that C cut itself on the top of C's hand and was concealing it with C's sleeves. I can understand why since C hates C's little brother, C's mom and dad are divorced, C's not all that rich, and C hates his stepdad. The thing is that I cut too... and do not lecture me on that fact. I haven't told ANYONE at my school that I cut and I want to keep it that way. I want C to stop and not cut though. I know it sounds weird and hypocritical but I wnat C to stop. I know it's a dangerous thing to do and can turn fatal at any given time. That's why I wnat C to stop. Isn't it weird that while I do the same thing I don't want C to do it? What is wrong with me for thinking that way? Why am I thinking that way? What are things I can do or say to stop C from cutting? If I try to talk about it, he ignores me and stops the conversation say he doesn't want to talk about it. (link)
|
It is wrong for you to want him to stop - and you not to - so try making a pact with him to both stop cutting- it'd be benifical for everyone.
As a reformed cutter - i wont lie to you its wicked hard - but can be done - i wish you the best of luck and im here if you need someone to talk to

i have this like bump/pimply like thing on my vagina. could it be an STD? im like freaking out about it. what could it be? (link)
|
it could be ingrown hairs ... but you never know so seeing a doctor would be a good idea- dont freak out - just a precaution - get yourself checked out - it never hurts

..okay I'm 5'5 and 109 pounds.. I think I'm fat.. and I feel guilty after everything I eat.. I was wondering..does anyone know how to lose weight? In the stomach area.. or to get rid of that little pudge? (link)
|
at 5'5" and 109 pounds you arent fat at all - you are actually underweight!! Dont worry so much about your weight - this is begining to sound like an anorexic attitude which, of course isnt healthy at all ... please dont lose any weight - you will just get sick
im hear to help if you need anything

I am 16 years old and got my driver's permit a few months ago. I really do try to be a good driver- I don't use my cell phone, I focus on the road, heck, I don't even turn on the radio! But it's hopeless- no matter how hard I try, I am a TERRIBLE driver, a threat to myself and others on the road. You see, I'm a pretty good student, I mostly get A's- but I'm a very slow thinker. I'm always the last one to hand in my test; I think about all my decisions carefully and thoroughly. The main problem is that I can't think at 55 mph (heck, even 30 mph!) and it's ESPECIALLY hard to focus with my dad, whom you'll read about below.
My dad takes me to practice every week. However, while I am admittedly a bad driver to begin with, his lessons really aren't helpful at all. I know parents are supposed to give constructive criticism while driving- that's expected. However, he critiques EVERY SINGLE MOVE I MAKE-and that's no exaggeration at all, I swear- every time I press the gas pedal, tap the brake, or move the steering wheel, he criticizes me. Not nicely, either. This makes me extremely tense throughout the whole nightmare of a lesson, and it's very difficult for me to focus on his yelling and the road at the same time.
A typical excerpt from our lessons:
(Red light at an intersection, in the right-turn lane)
Dad (rushed, aggrevated tone): You can make a right on red, go!
Me: (turns, doesn't notice other car going straight)
Dad: STOP!!
Me: (slams on brake)
Dad: *(@^%!
Now, I freely admit that it was my fault for not seeing the other car, but as you can see it was rather difficult to focus and our lessons really aren't very productive at all. I HATE driving and sometimes after our lessons I just go to my room and cry. Driving is terrifying, and at this rate I'll never get my license. Heck, I don't even WANT a license at the moment- I'm sure I'll die in a crash.
The problem is, my dad is the only available teacher- I don't know anyone else nearby who has their license and is over 21 who could help me drive. However, my dad is the big, scary, "don't-mess-with-me" type, and if I told him to calm down and not criticize me as much, this would surely be seen as 'talking back' and he would have a FIT.
I know the old saying- "practice makes perfect". This makes sense when playing an instrument, learning to tie your shoes, or just about anything else. However, with driving, you basically risk your life every time you practice! That's a huge difference!
I wish I could just give up on driving and rely on public transportation the rest of my life, but when I grow up I want to be independent and go where I want, when I want. Any tips on being a better driver and not letting my dad's yelling break my focus? Thanks!
PS: Sorry for such a long letter, I just wanted to explain the situation as thoroughly as possible for the best advice. Thanks again. (link)

Parents can be a pain, because they only want whats best for you, and because driving is such a huge risk, they tend to get tense about it - if you go online or maybe through your school you might be able to find a driver's ed class that will help you better. Its like alot of things - parents are just hard to listen to - your better off hearing the same things from someone else. You dont sound like a bad driver - just an inexpierenced one - which is fine - everyone has to start somewhere! you will get bettter i promise !
good luck!
hope i helped!!
