I just met a guy through his mom who is actually a pretty good friend of mine, we've hung out twice and both times we seemed to get along great. But He says he is going to stop by or call me when he gets home and never does. my mom says it's because he's shy and really wants to hang out but cant get the nerve to do it, I just think he is trying to avoid me PLEASE someone give me their opinion.

alright..well i think that you need to be the one to make a move. your mom probally is right because boys do do that so i would maybe set up a time when you could hang out with him and get to know him better or something.

ok so like 3 days ago i was with this boy and we somewhat had sex but he didnt really stick it in. i mean i didnt want him to get hard cause we had no protection so he didnt and he barely stuck it in. we left. then yesterday there was a couple dots of blood down there and this is that time of the month for me. then i put a pad on and i have not leaked i mean its clean. completely. everyone keeps asking me if im pregnant and i say no but i dont know what to do.

this seemed like the best column to me, sry if it's not in the right place.
i have serious trouble sleeping. for example, right now it's midnight and i am dead tired. so far i've layed down to go to sleep about 4 or 5 times. every time i do, within 15 to 30 minutes i start to feel very restless. i toss and turn, i try different positions, i sit up and lay back down, and various other things. what should i do? should i go so far as to see a doctor?

Alright, I'm in a sticky situation because my BEST FRIEND likes me. (guy) and I really like him...but he was my friend first and I'm thinking that if I date him then it'll ruin our friendship. I've talked to him about it and he says that it won't (which on one hand I do believe him bc he's not one of those guys that tells you what you want to hear unless it's true) I love spending time with him, in fact I've been over at his house more this summer than my own i think lol. I also like the fact that he has seen ALL of my quirkey moments and still likes me for them. Like I said, I just don't want to lose my best friend. That would devastate me. What do you think that I should do??

i think you should give it a try. see if he really, really likes you A LOT first. then make him promise you that if the relationship dosnt work out, that you two will be the same as you always were. and then talk kto him about that. and if you two agree on that, then i think you should give it a try. idk. you make the desicion.

I wear a lot of black clothing. In fact, I'm almost always in black. I'm not attempting to be goth or anything; I simply like the colour in clothes and I feel it suits me. Occasionally I'll wear colours but for the most part I wear black. Ever since this though, I've copped a lot of critisism from people. So many people have asked me why I wear so much black. A couple of guys have said they'd like me better if I didn't wear so much black. One "friend" of mine even went so far to tell me I don't look good in it and to stop wearing it!

I just can't understand it. Why is it such a big deal? I'm a happy person, and am not goth at all. I just like black clothes. What should I do?

Well kids these days only look for the people that suite their needs. like some people in my school are so selfish that they only hang out with the "popular" people who wear hollister, abercrombie, american eagle ect. i wear all that stuff, but im not where near judgemental towards anyone. you should maybe try to wear like pink with black. or light blue with black. or organge with black. try to mix up some colors with black. so you still feel comfortable in what you are wearing. i like black too. and it makes me feel good wearing it--like you said. and about those people that critizise you, who cares what they think. you are, who you want to be and no one can change that.

okay so theres this guy who i really like i mean for the first time im actually in love. i liked him since the begining of the year and we barely EVER talked but i knew he liked me a little so yeah. and about 2 weeks ago he asked me out over myspace and we've only went out for about 7 days then he dumped me to be with another chick. at first when he dumped me i didnt have any feelings but know i feel like dying so bad i mean i really love him ALOT. cuz everytime i talk to him i feel so diferent and its such a great feeling and now being dumped by the guy i really love just hurts so bad. half of me hates himand half of me loves him like crazy. how can i get ovr someone who i love alot and if you can try to give me a great advise ill rate you very high! thx

my advice to you is to try to talk to him. maybe become more as a friend. if not, just try to forget him. try looking for a new guy you might like. and go after him. lol. well all is im saying is that guys are jerks and you dont deserve to be treated to way he treated you. you know?? as long as you have your friends, thats all you need.

Okay, theres this guy that likes me, and i know he likes me cause he told all of his friends he did, but he didn't ask me out. He lives like 30 minutes away, and i'm not gonna see him all summer, but he told one of my friends to tell me to "not get a boyfriend over the summer" what should i do? should i wait for him?

i dont think you should wait for him. because what happens, happens. but when you do see him sometime in the future, always have options and maybe get to know how his summer was and tell him how your summer was or something. and maybe get together. idk. but dont wait for one guy. but if he comes back to you, i think you should go for it.

Does that acne treatment by neutrogena -actually- work? Because I've used it on my acne and it's making it worse and all dried out. It seems to be making my acne stay around LONGER. i've had acne in the same spots for MONTHS. i dont know how to get rid of it. there's some red spots on my skin, no bumps or whiteheads. i dont know how to get rid of it.

My friend uses it, and she had the same problem. her face broke out and everything. i use proactive myself and it acually works very well. i would consider proactive. you should try it! lol.

Ive gotten to like this girl. Shes beautiful and has a nice personality. I want to say something nice to her and let her know how I feel about her. Im not keen on love letters, asking through friends and things like that, and I can't seem to find the right time because shes always with her friends everytime I want to talk to her. In choir, we're singing the song "For Good" from the musical Wicked, if you know it. We had an audition for the solo at the beginning ("I've heard it said that people come into our lives.....but I know I'm who I am today because I knew you"). I had practiced singing it in a head voice. But I forgot that if I sing longer than 45 minutes, I can't sing any lower than the E above Middle C in a head voice. The director, suprisingly, called on me first, and I remembered that it had been 2 hours, and I definitely couldn't sing the low B in a head voice. So I had to sing it in a chest voice. In front of the whole chorus. Being a soprano, I have barely any experience singing in a chest voice. Nobody has ever heard my voice alone except for the director, so I was scared shitless. I was shaking all over the place, and I sang horribly. It was just awful. The director was totally suprised, since she knows about my stage fright woes. And the other girls did much better than me. The director knows I'm a good singer, but my audition was ghastly.


I'm sooo embarassed. What do you guys think of this situation?

HAH, in my school, we played wicked for band!! lol. but its ok to do bad every once in awhile. and if the director knew you had a great voice, then thats all that matters. and who cares what everyone else thinks. you are who you are

Okay, so I'm pretty much a hardcore soccer player. I play it often. But my mom is always thinking she knows so much about it, and I tell you she doesn't.

She yells at me for stupid mistakes, for everything that goes wrong in our house, and finds ways to call me a loser, loner, and that I suck at stuff, without actually saying it. She's called me a bitch so many times I couldn't count. But my real question is, is what she doing really abuse?

People have told me it was, but I just don't know anymore. She did physically abuse me ages 7-10, maybe that's why I'm not sure or not. And I've been depressed, at least I think a lot. She's making me want to quit soccer from all the camps and stress. And many of my close soccer friends are scared of that because I'm that one girl on the team who puts on a good additude, never gives up, gives it her all, knows what she needs to fix, and would miss what is important to her just to play. And I also go outside and practice often. And I just can't play well anymore and starting not to love it.

so is it abuse?

any help or advice would be amazing.

My first question is, what IS she doing to find ways to call you a loser and all the crap? Is she like physically hurting you? but anyways..like you said, that she has abused you before, then yeah i would say its abuse. but its only abuse if you get physically hurt. and it can be mental abuse for her calling you names like loser, loner ect. i think you should stick with soccer if your really good at it. You can get a scholership for soccer, if you plan on going to college. but im just helping you. you need to make the desicions. so stick to what you think is rightt. and for your mom, dont listen to her. just say, "you wish you could play soccer like i do." lol.

Well he came over the past few nights and it seemed like he really liked me but since those few nights he hasn't called or talked to me. well, i cant tell if he really dose like you or not. but next time you think about him or see him, try talking to him more. so it dosnt seem like your the one blowing him off, you know?? so see how that works.

How much alcohol is too much? How do you know if you have been drinking too much (at one time) and if you are at serious risk of causing harm to yourself? And, what does vodka normally get mixed with?

It really depends on your weight, your height, and your age. I would consider like 3 beers at the most. And vodka can get mixed with orange juice, cranberry juice and any other kind of juice you would want to mix it with. =D
