Hi guys,
Me and my husband have just moved into a new house...well, I say new, but it's actually ANCIENT. So ancient that we have no heating whatsoever!! The place was so expensive though that we can't afford to install heating for at least another year. The windows and doorways are all draughty too. So, my question is, as it is so cold at the moment, any tips of keeping warm other than the obvious 'put on another jumper'? (link)

When my parents first got together, they bought a "make your own rug" kit and used to sit on the sofa and make this rug. It took their minds off the cold and also covered them whilst they were making it. Failing that, hot water bottles and lots of hot chocolate :o)

okay i have HORRIBLE mensrtual cramps and i got my period just last night and i ended up going to the emergancy room because of the pain, i threw up and everything. i got home and i felt better and i took a nap but i woke up in pain again ive already takin every medicine that i can...please help :( how do i get rid of the EXCRUSIATING cramps?!?!? I'm no doctor but pain like that is not right. See a specialist and read up on 'endometriosis' and see if the symptoms match. Just a thought but worth the research. Get well :o)

My bf is taking me to the West End (London's Broadway) to see The Lion King tomorrow and we've got a suite in a flashy hotel. Other than that, he bought me a book (albeit a murder mystery) I'd always wanted and wrote messages all the way through in the margins. That was nice. Anything that shows thought is always good. I don't know what kind of answer you were looking for but hey, I hope it helped!!! :O)

I wish there was a book. All guys are different. What some like others don't. It's all trial and error I'm afraid. I doesn't work for everyone but try gently kissing his neck first and see how you get on. Most importantly, never do something you're uncomfortable with because you think they might like it. Take things at your own pace :O)

Okay im in 10th grade and I really like this senior. He told me 2 weeks before christmas that he has liked me since september and things were going really good until his parents split up. NOw he is depressed and is having a lot of problems at home. He acts fine around everyone else because nobody knows about his parents. He wasn't going to tell me but I bugged him about it because he just started ignoring me and everything. I talked to him the other night and he likes me but said that we can't "be together" until this is all over because his family is more important than me. I've waited for so long and I cry everytime i think about him (pathetic i know) because I like him so much. My question is how do i go about waiting for his family problems to go away? I mean until we can be together what should i do? (he is 18 and I am 15) I know its a pretty big difference but we really like each other. I know this all sounds really pathetic! Thank you so much! He's going through a really tough time right now. The best thing you can do for him is offer support and be there for him. He'll appreciate it in the long run. Just give him time to come to terms with things and I'm sure thing will work out fine. Hang on in there :O)

How do you write a poetry essay? My title is 'compare the way the poets use the idea of time passing and it's effects in each of the poems'. I'm writing stuff about how the rhyme scheme in one creates the idea of time passing quickly and in the other how the rhyme sceme makes it sound like time is passing slowly because you have to read it slowly...and then stuff like, 'this poem is about...blah' and 'this other poem is about...blah'...but I'm not sure I'm doing it right...none of my points seem to relate to my title. Any pointers?? I'm not asking you to do this for me, just give me some hints on how to write a decent poetry essay (i.e. what to include?). Thanks loads!! (link)

It's been a while since I thought about essays. If the poems are portreyed at different speeds you need to explain how the author has achieved this. Ie with phrasing and vocabulary. Short sentances, smaller words, long decribing words. Explain how they've created the atmosphere of a poem and back up your thoughts using quotes as examples. Remember, this sort of thing can never normally be wrong. It'll just be your view. Good luck :O)

Get checked, get pregnancy test and get saving. If you sleep with this other guy aswell, STD's aside, and you do turn out to be pregnant, you'll be forking out for paternity tests too. Do they still broadcast Rikki Lake?
On a serious note, the morning after can help you if you had sex unprotected in the last 72 hours. But do yourself a favour. If you're going to be as sexually active as you have been, get some professional advice on birth control/STD prevention and follow it.
Overall, be a 13 year old. You've got forever to do stuff like that (should you want to!)

i have a horrible time getting to sleep at night... it takes me lke 3 or 4 hours every night and sometimes ill go to bed at like 6 just to get enough sleep otherwise im exhausted in the morning. does anyone have any tips to help me fall asleep faster? thank you, ill rate you high (link)

Personally, I use Lavender Oil. It's not the most beautiful smell but it's a relaxant. Put a few drops in the bath or maybe on your pillow. Also, try reading and don't eat just before you go to bed. :o)

ok well im bulimic..im trying to deal with my problem but i haven't been doing it for that long but like everytime i stick my fingers down my throat it like feels like i scratch something in the same spot everytime and then it starts bleeding..is that the reason its bleeding?

The first step of overcoming your problem is realisation that you have a problem. You've done that. Now you need to get help. The bleeding is more than likely due to the vomiting although not definately. Tell someone get help. The only people qualified to tell you whats definately wrong are medics. Hope you're ok :O)

well my boyfriend is really sick! and he is in the hospitol and i am worried about him! and i want to go and see him and he hasn't told me that he is there cause he doesn't want me to see him like that and hes afraid that i won't like him cause hes sick! but his mom called and told me and in 3 days we would be going out for 3 months, so i was wondering if i should go see him then? and to tell him that i do care about him and i don't care if hes sick or not because i love him? soo just let me now wat u think and if its the right idea? It's great that you're prepared to support him. I think you should call his Mum and arrange a time to see him. Ask her to keep it a secret if need be so you can surprise him. My b'f came to see me when I was in hospital and it made me feel so much better. So yes, if you can handle the illness and his Mum thinks he can, why not :o) Hope he gets better soon.

Rest your voice, avoid any kind of anaesthetic throat drops. If it stops hurting you'll sing over the pain and do yourself damage. Drink loads of water, luke warm if you can hack it, gargle with asprin and wear a scarf. Stupid but trust me. I use honey with hot water and a few cloves but above all, don't talk unless you have too. Hope you feel better :o)

I know this isnt the most urgent message but since a few months ago ive been getting scabs on my scalp. Its really gross and sometimes when I move my hair around with my fingers they show and its disgusting and embarassing. Sometimes the scabs peel off and I find them in my hair and im thinking "What if someone sees me picking skin out of my hair?" and i get nervous. I also have acne all over my hairline in the front and thats also gross because when I want to pull my hair back they are all there and i have to put on alot of concealor so they wont be as noticeable.And even though im only 13 I think about it alot and sometimes I feel age doesnt matter as much when it comes to what you worry about because everyone is different. Alot of my friends say they dont notice it but I dont like it and its making me nervous and grossed out. What's wrong with me? What can I do to get rid of this stuff? (link)

I have to have a book read for english by monday! Problem is..im reading The Green Mile by Steven King and im only on page 110 and its a 500 page book! I just havent had any time. I know theres the movie The Green Mile. Is it the same as the book? Or is it different?
I read Christine by Steven King and I remember most of it. Is the movie just like the book?

Be very careful. The movie is "based on" a book by Stephen King. I haven't read the book to know but the film is really good so worth a watch anyway. I did the same thing with my A-Levels and One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. The movie is only a perception of the book and different anyway. So basically, you need to read the book. Get started now and you've got the weekend to do it! GET IT READ!!! :o)

dry your hair, apply straightening serum (not too much or it'll look greasy), straighten hair. Voila!
(And don't do what I do and tuck your hair behind your ears because it'll kink and look weird!) :o)

As a singer myself, my advice to you is not to sing a song that you've written yourself. It's harder for people to relate to a song they don't know and is more difficult to judge if they don't know how it's "supposed to sound". Go for an up tempo song if you can rather than a soppy ballad. Get the feet tapping with a classic and they'll remember you over all the rest at the end. Good luck with show :o)
