Greetings,I'm here and will attempt to answer questions that relate to either your SPIRITUALITY or your HEALTH. I consider myself to be a very spiritual human being, not religious as I don't follow an organized religion's dogma.
My heart is my good book and I attempt to live life from that point of view. I have lived long enough to have gained some wisdom and feel I could have something worthwhile to share.
I've used herbs and natural supplements and followed a healthy lifestyle since the early 90's, in fact it was herbs and herbal supplements and some lifestyle changes that saved my life.
As there have been some pretty wonderful people that have helped me along my life's journey, it's simply my turn to give back and if I can help someone here, I'm glad to do that. Do you believe that "God" has already planned out our destiny, or do you believe we make our own destiny?
And do you believe everything happens for a reason, or do you feel that's just some clever line a thinker thought up to try to reduce the amount of stress and anger in our lives?
Deep questions.... I believe we create our destiny. I believe there's a higher purpose behind everthing that happens on our earth. There are no accidents, only life lessons. I believe, tho some events are really ugly, that there is a Divive plan behind it all and and each of us has a role to play in this 'game of life'... for we're each a soul that descended into the dense reality of earth to garner vibrational points upon the ladder of eternity by 'getting our lessons' on earth, the kingdom of free will and choice. It's hard here on earth, but the soul gains more here toward raising it's vibration up the ladder. I don't think I've explained this very well... but it's how I understand it works and I came to understand all this when I almost died and became kind of a conduit for higher vibrational truth. I hope this helps just a little.... but if you follow your heart.... or your soul in human form.... you're on your absolute highest path and shall fulfill your soul's mission to earth and your soul will gain eternally for that accomplishment.
Im a christian.
But i feel like, i need to do something to make my prayers heard. Or something its really hard to explain, i almost feel like i have no connect with god.
How do i become a "better" christian?
i suppose thats what im asking.
One realizes a very deep connection with God, in my humble opinion, when you realize that God is within you not outside you. That's why I see my heart as my soul, so if I allow my heart to guide my choices, following my heart you might say and allowing its deepest desires to surface and to be met.... then I am one with my God. I'm not a Christian... I haven't read the good book, because my heart is my good book but I do live by the Golden Rule.... and I hope this helps just a little.... I almost died and I was given this second chance and during my recuperation I spent many hourse exploring myself and life and have come up with my perspective on life!!! I wish you well dear heart!
Today I decided to completley put my faith and trust into God, I really took him into my life today. However, I just started going to church last year so I was never baptised and never confirmed. Can I still expect to go to Heaven? What exactly does being confirmed or baptised mean?
I've not attended and church or read the Bible, nor have I been baptised or confirmed and not for a single second have I ever wondered if I would go to Heaven or not. I believe a Creator, as Divine as Christianity's God, would not ever judge It's own creation. That just wouldn't make sense to me. I know I haven't answered your question... but from my almost 61yo perpsective, I see the Bible as a history book, used for centuries to put fear into people's hearts, to control the masses in times of upheaval. You dear heart are a beautiful creation, a one of a kind, and doesn't it feel good to know there is only one person just like you, YOU?! I have the Creator in my heart, it came about when I almost died, and I simply allow my heart to guide my choices and live by the Christian's Golden Rule. I believe Christ came to teach me to love others unconditionally and that I am responsible for my choices/sins and that no one had to die to save me. It is for me to save me. Christ came to earth as the ultimate example of a human being who had simply stepped into his 'magic' powers if you will, to heal, to lead by example, and to show us the Way back to the Divine Light of Love that is eternal. I hope you find your answer, that you find peace with this issue in your life and that one day, perhaps years from now, you remember my answer and it clicks with you, like it did for me back in the late 80's. I put this in spirituality even though it doesn't really fit...
When I was a young teen I was very active in my church and school. I was in the choir, I helped to organize the children's liturgy, and I took part in the discussions and events that our Catechist organized all the time.
When I was seventeen I feel in love with another girl. For a few months we kept our relationship secret, but eventually it had to come out and my church pretty much ostracized me and told me in no uncertain terms that my help was no longer needed. My relationship with that girl lasted for two years and we are still very close friends. What happened with my church makes me very sad, but I don't regret my choices. I am a bi-sexual woman and I'm not ashamed of it.
The problem is now I am dating a guy and have been for a while. Old friends from the church are suddenly talking to me and being all nice and welcoming again. It's breaking my heart because I know if this relationship ends and I meet a woman I want to date I'll be kicked out again just as quickly. They keep inviting me out to dinner or to mass, (I have kept going over the years but I'm basically ignored by everyone.) Part of me wants desperately to be accepted and loved by these people again, the other part of me is just furious with the way they treated me and the pressure they are putting on me now to conform. Should I just accept this while it lasts or should I maybe say something to these people?
Well, not ever having been 'Christian' in any sense of the word, but to allow my Creator in my heart to guide my choices.... I may not have sound advice, but I'm willing to discuss this issue with you.
In my way of thinking my Creator(I don't use the term God, too many connotations) created all of us equal and my Creator does not judge me or anyone else to condem them here or there. If you are to disallow your deepest feelings to surface, you will be simply passing through life, not honoring who and how and what you truly are all about.
I can tell you that having lived almost 61 years, I have finally, and very thankfully come to appreciate the value of following my heart's deepest desires. I had been through several marriages/divorces and luckily my three children, now all adults having families, came through my dysfunction just fine.
If YOU are not true to YOU, who will be? You are here on this glorious earth to take respsonsibility for your choices and anytime you make those 'lower choices', w/o your heart fully involved, you will in some way pay a price. Maybe you, like me, won't see it for decades, but you will.
I don't anything about your church, your religion, but I am very spiritual person and I see Jesus as my brother in the Divine Light of Love and Truth. He came to teach me to live by the Golden Rule and to love others. If I have sinned, I wish to be responsible and I would not ever ask another to give up their life because I may have made a lower choice.
I do not mean to offend you, nor tell you what to do... but I can tell you that to follow the wisdom of your heart is your highest, truest, and in my opinion, most spiritual path. This young man you're dating should know of your bi-sexual tendencies and if he really loves you he will undertand, but to keep such a big part of your beingness/truth from him is do to do you or him a single favor.
As for those who judged your choice, is that a very Christian thing to do? I say, for those who judged you, you are better off to find a new circle of friends who will accept you exactly as you are. Those who do really love you with the love that is Divine and eternal and of the Christ vibration.
I would hope that you will find within yourself your truest stengths and the courage to carry through those dark moments when human dysfunctions will try to envelop you and your beautiful beingness. You dear heart are a unique, one of kind piece of Divine artwork, a masterpiece and honor your own creation with each and every choice you make.

okay i am 14/f in case it matters
okay well you see, my cousins from arizona came up for christmas and new years to visit us. one is 16 and the other is 22. well they came up and they were staying at my grandmas hosue. well i wanted to hang out with them so i figured id spend the night (by the way both of my cousins are guys). anyways so i got there and my grandparents werent there. my cousins said that they went to dinner 2 hours away at some really fancy returaunt. well, they took me upstairs and they told me to sit ont the bed. they started kissing me and slowy putting their hands down my pants and up my shirt. since i had never had a real boyfriend befor they told me that they were only showing me what to expect when i had one. so thye kept doing all this stuff to me and made me do some weird stuff to them and practically forced me to have sex with them.
i know its wrong and that i should tell someone one but what wiill people say when i tell them i had sex with my cousins? please help me idont know what to do =(

First I feel you were very brave to come here and share your experience with others. Reaching out for help can be very hard and sometimes without a good if any outcome.
You're young and innocent. You deserve respect as much as any other member of humanity. We sometimes have to work hard to maintain the respect we desire. So, you were wise to take this first step and now it's time you consider your next step. If, IF your parents know you well, and trust whatever they may hear from you and trust you to be honest and upfront, then probably I would first take my Mother aside and gently address the issue. Or if it's your Father you best relate to, take him aside and begin to share this story with him.
If this isn't the case, then you will need to seek out another, supportive adult to confide and I would suggest you go to our local phone book, unless you have a family priest/minister/clergy person you trust, and look under the city or county agencies that deal in sexual assult or abuse counselling. There will be someone there you can speak to, but get through the switchboard operator first. This person will be a professional trained in the area that your problem would be found.
Keep in mind, for you to go forward and make this experience known to someone you trust, someone who will see that something is indeed done about it.... will assure and ensure that these same perpetrators don't attempt this same violation toward another female they encounter. You must consider that they may just not stop with a family member but perpetrate this horrible deed upon some other unsuspecting female.
So, carefully do the right thing and you should in most circumstances come away from this whole ordeal with more peace and eventually a good feeling about it because you did do the right thing. It will of course take you some time to heal this issue and perhaps, some counselling is called for dependent of course on your particular situation. But, you owe it to yourself first and to all the other females this group of young men may come in contact with, to get it out and in the open.
If you don't find anyone in the phone book, seek out someone within your circle of friends and/or acquaintances that can talk about it with you and together with you make the best decision as to your next move. The must be that next move, coming here was the first and a very good one, now back it up with the next and second best action available and don't feel guilty or ashamed, there is no need to do that to yourself.
I wish you well and I commend you on your bravery and courage to bring this issue forward, I just wish more women would and perhaps there would eventually be less and less horrific happenings taking place within our sisterhood.

Hey guys. I am always pessimistic and does any1 know what i could do to make me optimistic.
I'm a girl but I'll attempt to answser your request for input. If you'll attempt to grasp the fact that humanity is governed first by what I call 'unversal law' before any humanmade laws, you'll come to better appreciate how what we dwell upon, give time, thought, energy and focus to..... we actually 'see' and shall create more of. So if you begin looking for the good in your experiences(good is always there but sometimes we must look harder to find it), you'll be surprised at how easy it becomes to see the good. Start by doing this. Tomorrow, find one good thing about that day. The next day, find two good things about that day. The more you dwell upon the goodness around you the more you'll begin to want to be a positive and optimistic person. Being optimistic comes from one's set of perceptions. What we perceive things to be, is how we see them. Look for the good and you'll regain your higher view of life, which is where you belong anyway, don't you agree? I have a great quote for you that has always helped me when I needed it, however it doesn't come from the Bible, but from Dr. Suess and it goes like this: "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind". Thought I'd share this with you because it has as much value to me as any words from any, ANY other source. Truth can be found in many places, in many forms and at anytime. The trick is to listen with your heart for it can discern what is right for you and your life. And don't forget to listen within yourself, there is a very trustworthy source of truth within you everyday, every year for your entire lifetime, and it waits to be discovered by only YOU. Does anybody know of any spiritual books that will change my life drastically for the better? I am specifically looking for something that will boost my self-esteem and turn me into an optomist.
Very good question indeed. I know what books 'did it' for me, but of course you're not me. My suggestion to you would be to visit your favorite metaphysical store or a bookstore with a new age or metaphysical section and just walk around in that section, perhaps a book will jump off the shelt at you... I'd strongly urge you to look into that book. Or perhaps you'll be drawn to a book on the shelf for whatever reason. My first encounter with such books came when I was in such a store and a woman came running in to get a certain copy of a book. Well of course that brought my immediate attention to that book which I purchased and it was like stepping on a 'cosmic fast forward button'.... my life was for ever changed and in an awesome and most humbling way. And then when you read these special books, don't try to leftbrain it, but go into with the thought that you'll take into your reality only those parts that feel deeply right to you and you'll release all the rest until a later date when the parts that don't feel right may change and shift and you'll find truth in those parts at that time. Go at it(your search) with an openmind and a willingness to see beyond what others around you may wish you to 'see'. Go within yourself, for there are your real answers, they have always been there, and shall always be there.... but it takes quiet time, silence and much stillness to 'tune it' that inner wisdom center..... blessings for success in your search! How do you know if you believe in God or if you just think you do?
Do you believe in yourself? For you see, you are God, the Creator is within you and there is no way to separate yourself, unless you live in denial of who you really are. And to believe that God will judge you is one way we humans separate ourselves even further, for how could a loving Creator ever judge its own creation? I believe in God because I believe in myself, but I don't use the term God, but Creator. We are all children of a grand creative force that has yet to make a single mistake. See yourself as a powerful, all loving, all forgiving, all creative being and then go about standing in that power, while loving yourself and all other life forms unconditionally and forgiving the indescretions brought upon you by others and create the life you most deeply desire for yourself. do ouija boards really tell the truth or do ppl just make it up?
I've used a ouija board, I've used pendulums, crystals, tarot cards, psychics and in the end my best source of truth is allowing my heart to guide me and my choices. No better guidance will you find anywhere for any amount of money. Your heart holds every answer you'll ever seek to know. It's wise, it's connected to your very soul but to realize it greatest usefulness you are wise to believe this is so. It takes allowing yourself to experience quiet time most every day to become accustomed to listening within yourself for those subtle and every so quiet whisiperings or urges or promptings. With a little practice you'll come to understand that which I'm sharing. I promise. Your heart and your soul are one in the same, why wouldn't someone wish to listen to the wisdom of their very soul? But look around at how few really care let alone actually seek from within? It's a shame and a pure misuse of our abilities. Many religions believe that the world is going to end soon, and we are living our last days because of all the crime, hate, and everyone being open about their sexuality, what are your opinions on this?
Not being religious, rather spiritual, I do see how humanity has created much darkness on a planet, one that was created to be a 'classroom' where souls could more quickly(but not more easily) earn vibrational points up the eternal ladder. I believe that we have yet to reach that point of no return, for there are many 'aware' people and more awakening every day to live life from their hearts. I see my heart as my soul and if I allow it to guide my choices, I'm on a path of bringing change/evolution to life on earth. If I then am standing in my power, centered in my heart, I am doing my divinely guided part to bring life on earth more love, joy and peace. By example I surely will inspire at least one other to seek their highest path and that person will then in turn inspire another.... this ripple effect will eventually reach around the planet and once the scale of human endeavor wavers toward the good, good shall escalate quickly and earth's purpose realized. Sometimes i feel like i want to die, i dont feel like miserable or anything and i dont want to die just for a way out, i feel kind of excited about death, like when i die i will be at peace with everything. isnt that what everyone wants inner peace and to live in eternal paradise? thats what i want? what are we waiting for?
Ahhhh, I believe the purpose behind our creation is to creat Heaven on earth, and that's a big challenge what with this mess we humans have created via all our heartless choices. Death isn't an end, it's actually a different beginning that was the one we experienced at birth. Inner peace is worth working toward, but no one shall realize that paradise that doesn't allow their heart to guide their choices. Heart and soul being one in the same you can see how it works. It's this simple really, but few will allow this truth to surface without conflict or judgement because its concept is so uncommon to all else. We are all as a group consciousness, destined to created heaven right here on earth, as earth was created to be a 'classroom' where souls come and work to accomplish their earthly missions of peace and love that lives freely here. Do your part by being true to your inner self, that place of all knowingness and deepest belief and hearted power. Your are a fine creation so shine your light brightly in all directions and trust that in so doing you'll inspire others to do the same and on and one we grow and heaven begins to take shape right here on dear earth. God is not outside you, the Creator resides within you.... in your heart there is a 'spark' of all Creation... when and as you follow your heart's deepest desires, you bring that spark to burn brighter and brighter until you stand in your own power, a bright light of divine and eternal love. We are all children of a divine Creator, all equal, all loved and all of a soul that lives vibrationally forever through all eternity. Our Creator is not a he or she and you will know of the presence of this divine force when your heart becomes your one and only source of insight, answers, guidance and truth. Live of, by, with and from your heart and you will assume your riteful role as a Godself on earth meant to bring more love and peace to a trouble planet.

The quickest and surest way to become more centered is to find quiet time, turn off the mental wheels, begin slow, long, deep breathing and just be in that stillness. Silence is often the gateway to inner knowingness and connection to our higher counterpart or soulful essence. Yoga can bring this about also, if you like group encounters, but also can be distracting. Begin with some quiet time every day or every ofther day. Become aware of your breath, the beating of and rhythm of your heart. Before you know it, you'll either sense knowingnesses, or hear a faint whisper or experience a gut feeling or feel tingles about your body or shivers up or down your spine... these are all signs that you're 'connected' or linked with the realm beyond the human experience. We all are, but life is very busy and we don't give ourselves the opportunity to connect with what is real. The more often you connect to more you'll come to explore the unknown, the unseen and soon you'll reach that point of no return where you know life from a new and better and more complete perspective. Trust those inner feelings or sensations and don't think yourself crazy or silly or weird... you're just allowing yourself what you're seeking. The real truth about life and living beyond limitation and half truths. Seek to allow your heart to guide you, do that which brings you the most joy and believe that you deserve much goodness in your life. When exploring books or articles or advice from others, simply take those parts that feel deeply right to you and chuck all the rest, and you'll build that 'new you' and improved you that you are seeking. I am completely confused about what I am. In regards to religion. I know i am christian, but I know nothing about it. I have never read the bible..and I know that most of the stuff in it I don't truly believe. And does God look down upon me for choosing not to believe parts of the bible?
If you're truly a Christian, no wonder you're confused because organized religion works to create more through fear and intimidation. If I may, let me suggest you do this.... begin thinking about how your heart is meant to be your truest source of insight, guidance and truth. Do this: find some quiet time.... uninterrupted by friends, family, work, whatever... and just sit in the middle of silence. Get real quiet, take some long, deep, slow breaths and do nothing. Turn off the wheels of your mind, let your mind go blank. When you feel the time is right go within yourself, listen deeply for any insight, feeling, urge, compulsion that has been hidden away for a long time. Slowly and patiently find that 'center' within yourself and begin the process of reempowering yourself. You are a beautiful, one of a kind creation of a loving Creator who's intention is to bring more love to this planet through you and your heart. Worry not, such a grant Creator shall not ever judge its own creation. So for now this shall be my answer to you.... my heart is my bible and wherever my heart is there is my only church. Also as you can, begin to understand that your heart and your soul are one in the same, so as you bring your heart to be more involved in your life, you're on your highest path to your highest good that you were created to become.
