How do you know if you believe in God or if you just think you do?

Do you believe in yourself? For you see, you are God, the Creator is within you and there is no way to separate yourself, unless you live in denial of who you really are. And to believe that God will judge you is one way we humans separate ourselves even further, for how could a loving Creator ever judge its own creation? I believe in God because I believe in myself, but I don't use the term God, but Creator. We are all children of a grand creative force that has yet to make a single mistake. See yourself as a powerful, all loving, all forgiving, all creative being and then go about standing in that power, while loving yourself and all other life forms unconditionally and forgiving the indescretions brought upon you by others and create the life you most deeply desire for yourself. That is God or love in action don't you think? Blessings to you in your search for better understanding.

I think the best thing to do is take an online religion test believe me they exist just go to google and type it in i took the test twice on two different websites and the same result came back twice it said i was agnostic take the test and no matter what the result is try to come terms with it and answer the questions truthfully

It is what you believe, you decide, never mind what other people think, you have your own maind, so you decide, what ever you choose people would be ok with it. hope i helped.

You believe in God if you think about what happens when you die, and you see either heaven or hell. This is confirmation that you believe. Or, if you just have faith that he exists, and believe in a heaven.

Belief in God is faith. Which means that it's impossible for anyone to answer that question for you: it's something that *only you* can answer for yourself.
And maybe you can't. It may take a lifetime of prayer, of thought, of searching, and even then, at the end, you may still not be sure if you truly have faith, or not.
Of course, if there's an afterlife, you may find out *then*.
For now, all you can do is search your heart and see how you feel.
In the meantime, I would suggest that you not let this issue destroy your life. Think, pray, search in whatever way feels right to you. Talk to your spiritual counselor, or if you don't have one, you might want to talk to several different counselors. Live the best life that you can, a life that you can be proud of.
I think, if you do, that in the end you will be satisfied.

well, beliving in God is like being able to pray. all your prayers go to God and he knows everything that goes on in your mind. not believing in God is such a sin.

Okay this is kinda diffucult. You eather belive in God or you dont. This is something you should know in your heart not your mind. Its also not something you have to think really hard about. I`m not really sure how to explain it to you but anyways. It`s also part of your religon. I`m not sure what you are but I`m Catholic and I def. belive in God. You shouldnt use God's name in vein at any time. If you pray at night then thats one of the things that makes you belive in him. There is no reason not to. He is the one who gave everything life and put us on earth.

Believing in God is something you know in your heart. IF YOU REALLY LOVE God, nothing should be able to change your mind. Ask yourself that question, or pray to God. He'll answer you if you really want him to, he'll answer you in some way and you'll be able to understand it if you really do. If you really want to love God, he should come first in your life no matter what happens. You should love God before anyone else, because he made you and deserves to be treated over other people. This doesn't mean you can't love people who aren't Christians or don't believe in God, because you can and you should. We should be nice to everyone, even if they're not like us.
