Hi I'm Laura. I'm a Christian and I am still at school. I joined the site to help people out. Quite a few of my friends come to me for help about various things and I've had quite a few problems in my life which I've sorted my own way. So I joined because if I can help my friends I can help others and I love helping people out.

Also, I'm a vegetarian, I take my beliefs seriously and I love people so much I just want to help everyone, although I often screw up. everything.

yea so im having problems with my weight because some people tell me that im fat and need to loose weight. But others tell me im perfect the way i am so i dont know what to think. I think that im fat and that i do need to loose weight but i just cant, i love food so what can i do to keep my mind out of food, and start loosing weight, or to say to myself that im good the way i am. this is a decision that you have to make for yourself. if you are unhappy with your body you should do something about it because then you will feel happier in yourself. do not mind what others say, it is not your bosy that is important but your personality. if they tell you that you are 'fat' then are these people you friends? if not, don't listen to them, their opinion doesn't even register. if they are then why are they telling you this? are they putting you down so they feel better about themselves or doing it for your own good?

as far as food goes, it is not the amount you eat, its what you eat and how. if you decide to lose weight, stay away from junk food, too much red meat, fried foods etc, and have nutritious, healthy meals with vegetables, fruits, white meat, wholegrain etc instead. there are plenty of nutrition websites with healthy recipes or check out books in your local library.

also, if you decide to lose weight, some exercise will help. don't join a gym, you don't need to. go running, not far at first, but stick at a slow steady pace and go as far as you can manage. don't stop when the first pain comes, running through it is easier than stopping and starting again. do situps, lunges, pressups if you can, just active things that you can do at home for little or no money.

finally, DON'T crash diet. it is the most unhealthy thing you can do to lose weight and you put it all back on once you stop dieting.

i know this is a weird question to ask on here but ive tried googling it. how do you make your poop harder so its not soft all the time. does it need like calcuim or whatever to help harden it? (link)

for about a month i think, my nipples and ariolas have been really itchy! and on my left ariola its gotten a bit dry. kind of like scabby? am i the only one?! has anyone went through this before. and ive tried lotion, but it goes back to being dry and itchy! (link)

you didn't say how old or how developed your breasts already are. if they are fully developed i would advise you to see your doctor as changes in parts of your body such as your breasts can be warning signs for other things. don't worry though, as if there is a problem it will be early enough to be easily treatable.
if you are about the start of or partway through puberty then this may just be your hormones.

just get checked out by a doctor to be on the safe side.

ok i'm about 5'3" and i weigh 145 lbs. i really want to loose 30 lbs asap. can anyone help me out about how i should go about loosing this weight? please don't say "eat healthy and exercise and lay off junk food" can you give me examples of some exercises and foods to eat and foods not to eat and how much a day i should eat? i'd really love to hear from the people who lost weight and what worked for them but anyone will do. thanks so much! ok i'm just gonna try and clarify some of what trina boo said because she contradicted herself. you don't need to run 3-4 miles a day if you can't manage it, i know i couldn't. with running you should set yourself a pace and stick to it over a certain distance, quite slowly, i don't know how active you are currently so just keep it going as long as you can, run through the pain, it will go away a few minutes after it starts. afterwards walk (don't sit or lie down) until you recover as this prevents lactic acid build up. as you gain fitness you will be able to run further and faster with less effort.

you don't need to use weights or a treadmill, there are some excellent, free exercises you can do in your bedroom. for some ideas, especially the abdominal exercises, try:

alternatively google such things as home free exercise weight loss

lifting weights, more than anything else, builds muscle, if it weight loss you're after thats bad, muscle is heavier than fat.

eat a healthy balanced diet ie you can still have your favourite treats but avoid fatty foods such as red meat, anything fried, processed food such as ready meals, too much salt, sugary foods eg biscuits and chocolate and also fizzy drinks etc.
eat lots of fruit and vegetables and wholemeal bread, rice and pasta, as well as some white meat (not fried), fish,, low-fat milk, eggs, beans and nuts.

also check out some books in a local library or check out www.nutrition.gov for more information on all areas.

DONT eat raw egg, you're putting yourself at risk from salmonella poisoning which is awful, believe me, both my brothers were ill with it for weeks and they only had it mildy but they camped in the bathroom.

This is embarasing but I have pretty hairy arms. All my friends shave theirs and stuff but I heard that makes it grow back darker and stuff. I obviously don't want to get the lazer treatment done or anything crazy like that. Does anyone know any ideas of how to solve my problem? (link)
hi!

i have the same problem - dark hair and pale skin, but i try not to let it bother me. i figure that if someone is bothered by my hairy arms then they're not worth knowing.

however, if it bothers you then something needs to be done about it. you could try waxing as this makes the hairs grow back slowly, thinner and lighter than before but it is painful. i would personally try lightening the hair. chemists will stock hair lightening kits and this is easy to do and causes no lasting effects.
